  You are welcome.  I just checked and there is an onLoad parameter you can use in the BODY tag to ignite a javascript function.  I hope that's what this implies, that it is.

  This code works perfectly fine. My only problem is how to make several swf loaded. When I tried to copy and paste the same code for the another swf, but the following errors appear. I'm sure theres a way to have several sovereign wealth funds (btw the multiple SWFS will be bound to different frames).

  Here is what happened: last week, Adobe updated the way they report the Flash version (no Firefox version but the Flash version) as part of a Flash update. It seems that Yahoo Mail didn't update their code to properly control and so it seems (for them) that Flash does not work (they can see that you have installed but does not have the code to check version).

  As you probably figured out, you're not actually blocked Flash and this must be affixed to the side of Yahoo.

  If you open the swf file in the text editor:

  The first 8 bytes of any SWF file are not compressed, the rest of the file can be compressed (or not) by zlib compression.

  • 1st byte: 'F' (uncompressed) OR 'C' (compressed).
  • 2nd Byte: 'W' still.
  • 3rd byte: the of ' always.
  • 4th byte: version number (09 means this file is for the Flash Player 9 and so on...)
  • 5th to 8th: length of the entire file in bytes

  I have just published a .swf and have to put in on my page... that has a design and a location for the samples, such as work flash.

  I have no idea how to get this .swf on my page to the place reserved for samples of my work.

  I see the code of the HTML page generated by flash, and comparing it to my own page HTML code, I don't see the corresponding points of start/end to insert the code which governs the flash content.

  I do this too hard? Is there an easy way to get flash content to my existing web page?

  I just bought a domain on godaddy for hosting sample. I know how to upload files. But I do not know how to take my .swf deploy to the web and become a working site.

  Take the totality of the contents of the file to deploy to the web and download only the in the root folder of your site web sever. Then, you should be able to go to www.yourdomain.com/Main.html and complete your CF project. If you rename index.html Main.html, www.yourdomain.com also works.

Now I would like to know how to add a SWF video to an existing web page. In other words, the film would go into a rectangular space in a position of my choice, surrounded by loads of other things.

  My first attempts to add a Flash animation in an ASP.NET aspx page were only partially successful. The film runs within its allotted space, but I can only see the bottom third. The rest is cut off by the top edge of the rectangle (which is big enough to take the entire film).

  I am a newbie to Flash CS4 and have trouble understanding how to position the film on the web page. Any help would be appreciated.
