How to burn files to a cd in windows 8

Crazy as it sounds I can't understand this...

I click on file, send to the cd/dvd drive then see a message on the files ready to burn, but there is no dialogue to start combustion.

Thanks in advance.

In the menu bar, you should see a tab 'manage '.  In this tab, click on the button "complete combustion.

Please tell me how to open file video .asf in w7.

    Hello Badodariya Malay,

Welcome to the Microsoft community where you can find all the answers related to windows.

According to the description, it looks like you are experiencing problems opening the .asf files.

    1. what program you use to play .asf files?

    2. do you have problems to open the .asf files?

The Advanced Systems Format (ASF) is the preferred Windows Media file format. With Windows Media Player, if the appropriate codecs are installed on your computer, you can play
audio content, video content, or both, that is compressed with a wide variety of codecs and that is stored in an .asf file. This problem may occur if there is missing an audio codec.

See the link below for more information on codecs.

  • How to burn files to the disc of the retina macbook pro?

Hello. So I was wondering two things. One is how can I convert mov files to work on a disc on a dvd player to the TV. Second is how I just can burn retina macbook pro mov files because they do not come with a DVD player. I tried to use iDVD and iSkysoft DVD Creator, but they won't recognize the windows to mac dvd player thing. I did not blank discs their so I was wondering if it was a problem? Thank you.

One you get your iDVD project that you and ready to burn follow this workflow:

Once the project you want it save it as an image disk via the menu file → save as Disk Image . It will separate from the process of encoding of the burning process.

To check coding mount the disk image, launch a DVD player and read it.  If it plays OK with DVD, encoding is good.

Burn burn to disc with utility disk or toasts to the slowest speed (2 x - 4 x) in order to ensure the best quality.  Always use higher quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are recommended in these forums.

Since you do not have an optical drive in your MBP you will need to copy the disk image file on a Mac that makes and burn from there with disk utility.  Or you can get an external optical drive and use it to burn the disk with disk utility.

I would like to copy some files from my laptop to a CD.  I know it is a simple process, but it escapes me.  My operating system is XP.  Thank you.

Assuming you have a CD drive that is capable of writing CD (burning), then is one of those cases where integrated Windows XP Help and Support is the answer for you.  Click Start > Help and Support, and then type

How can I move my music library of frostwire to windows media player so I can burn it to a disc?

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
2 have you tried to move the music from frostwire to Windows Media Player files?
    3. What is the file extension or the format of the music files?

    Follow these steps:

Step 1: manually transfer music from Windows Media Player:
    a. open Windows Media Player.
    b. go to the drop down "File" menu and select "open".
    c. Select the music that you have downloaded from Frostwire.

Step 2: Configure Frostwire to transfer music automatically
    a. open the Frostwire application.
    b. click the "LimeWire" drop
    c. Select 'Préférences' from the menu. Another window will open, allowing you to browse the Frostwire preference different options.
    d. click on 'Save' to display the various options to save files once they have been downloaded from Frostwire.
    e. click the "Browse" button and locate your computer music folder used to store songs for your Media Player.
    f. highlight the folder that you want to put your Frostwire downloads to and click on the button 'open '. The window will close once your selection has been made.

  • How to burn a CD of LR3 in Windows?

I was helping a newb learn that LR3 and everything went well until I tried to export from his library on a CD. It works fine on my Mac, I just click on export and choose the cd/dvd option. On his PC, the only option we had to export was on his hard drive, regardless of what type of disc, CD or DVD, we have inserted that LR3 never gave the possibility to write about it. I finally "solved it" by exporting to office with the option 'open in Explorer' checked and then we just burn the files to the desktop for the CD through Explorer. I searched the forums for this but couldn't find anything although I vaguely remember something somewhere some time this has been a problem. What gives?

The release notes say that it does not work in 64-bit Windows versions.

  • Cannot access files on hard disk on windows xp, after I worked with it on win 7.

Cannot access files on external hard drive on windows xp, after that I worked with him on Victory 7.I can see the file, but he says "is not accessible. access is denied. " Can someone help me?

As you can guess, this is a permissions problem.  Here, it makes a difference if you have XP Home or Pro you have to safe boot mode to change permissions in the House.

My crystal ball says that your external drive is formatted with the NTFS file system.  When you connected to Windows 7 (or any other computer besides), the files have been added that this user permissions apparently understood that only Win 7 has access to.  There are several ways to handle this...

Is to save on all your files and reformat the external hard drive with a FAT32 file system and then support files.  You will have no problems of permissions with FAT32, but you can't have any higher than 4 GB single file either.

Another way is as an administrator, to 'Ownership' of all the files on the disk
"How appropriate a file or a folder in Windows XP"
but this could get old if the drive moves back.

Yet another approach is to give "Everyone" full access to everything on the drive.  This may or may not protect against new folders or files added, but may be worth a try:
As a user administrator, open a command window:
    Start-> Run-> "cmd".
    Then, enter the command:
    CACLS E:\/t/e/c/g everyone: F
(where I am assuming that your external drive is mounted as "E:" - change of real player)

I hope that something more top is useful...

  • Problem importing email files from Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail. Not all the imported outlook express folders are visible

I followed your instructions and now have "storage folders" visible. However that a single user account recorded message records showing if you keep double clicking and scrolling down. There are 3 other user accounts whose records are not visible. I tried as well by importing and using Windows Easy Transfer for all alphanumeric codes in Outlook Express. I signed into Live Mail using the other our of the user, but this does not solve the problem... Please tell us how to transfer files from my old computer Windows XP to the new W7 mail.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

V-2009: open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

V-2011: Menu button. Import Messages. Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

For WLMail 2009: Open list of Contacts in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

For WLMail 2011: Switch to the contacts window (click on the book icon to the address at the foot of the folders pane, or press Ctrl-3). Click on the import button, select address book (wab) Windows and point on where it was saved.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

How can I burn video files to dvd via laptop?

Created a video using a webcam and my laptop has a dvd / cd/cdr drive to play and burn. I do not know how to burn my video to dvd... any input please? In advance thank you!

You will need a third party software that will convert and burn the video file. If you want to be able to watch the video at home or auto dvd players you will need a software who authors the file as well. I prefer Ashampoo Burning Studio 10. You can download and get a free trial from the link below. It is an excellent program and well worth the $15.00 you can buy it for after the expiration of the trial period. There may be some restrictions on the trial version but, I'm not there.
