How to cancel the creation of a recovery disk?

I wanted to create a recovery drive (was windows 8 download) and naively chose my 1 TB external harddrive. The recovery disk app then wiped and now all I can see is a 32 GB F: recovery disk. How to bring back my old 1 TB drive? I tried to fix this by a system restore. But I get the error message upward of "system restore failed...". An unspecified error occurred during system restore. (0x80070005) "I have worked with Norton on chat and feel sure it wasn't Norton who was to blame.

Open disk management by pressing the Win Key + X.  Make sure that you select the external hard drive, highlight and use the disk management menu. Try to delete the F first partition and extend the primary partition instead of fitness. It should work. If it does not reformat the hard disk.

It's an easy mistake to make because when you make a recovery disk. 'Everything will be effacΘ.' warning can be ignored. Norton has nothing to do with it. To make a recovery drive, use a USB and test later. Some USB keys do not work correctly.

    First of all, you should check the user manual. There you can find all the details on how to recover a Toshiba laptop.

    In any case, if your laptop came without recovery disk you can create one using the Toshiba recovery disc creator. That's why you need one or two DVDs and then you have factory on a DVD.
    If you created the recovery disk, you can boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. Windows will be reinstalled, and you get back to factory settings.

    But you can also recovery a Toshiba laptop without recovery disk. So go to the F8 advanced boot menu and choose fix my computer. Now, you can choose the Toshiba Recovery option and follow the instructions on the screen.

    Note: I guess it may be worth mentioning that pressing F8 actually take me on-screen "start options advanced windows" but I don't have any recovery options.

    As I know the A100 series has not been fitted with the recovery of HARD drive partition!
    And so I doubt that any combination of keys will start the partition recovery!

    So you only chance to recover the laptop is to take the recovery disk, then boot from it.
    You can also try to install the disk Microsoft Windows operating system and then could install the drivers of Toshiba on the pilot site of Toshiba!
