  • How to install Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit?

Hello! Can someone tell me how can I make Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit to 64-bit?

    Here's my question: -.

    1. I bought a version of Windows Vista Edition retail family Premium, the package has only the 32-bit support (DVD). I found a few website say that the product key for the retail version of Windows is for 32-bit and 64-bit, as long as we use 32 - bit or 64 - bit on a single computer at a time. If I'm wrong, anyone could answer my question?

    2. now, I plan to move from 32 bit to 64 bit, my problem is that the version sold at retail of Windows that I purchased only contain 32-bit media:-

    (a) is there a way I could install the 64-bit Windows?

    (b) is it possible I could get 64-bit support?

    (c) could I use media in Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit retail a friend to install on my computer? And after installation, I can activate Windows with my product key?

Looking forward to the responses, thank you.

Do you a clean install from 32 bit to 64 bit.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsvista/1033/ordermedia/default.mspx

Link above is how you get 64 bit DVD, if you have a retail license.

You can use any Microsoft Vista 64-bit DVD and use your 32 bit key as you say it's Vista Retail

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • HOW TO DOWNLOAD WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM FOR SONY VAIO PCG-71C11M?

I bought a Sony VAIO (PCG-71C11M), but Sony did not have any operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) DV. I leave in Bangladesh. I am not able to buy the new operating system. I want to download Windows 7 Home Premium to my VAIO, because I already have a key number and the activation of Windows 7 Home Premium product (installed by Sony).

I think it's my right to have a DVD/operating system backup file, because I bought a complete package.

  • How to make Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit to 64-bit version

I've recently upgraded to a card mother Intel D975XBX2 and 965EE Intel processor.  My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium, 32-bit version.   I bought almost 2 years ago and it came with versions 32 and 64 bit.   I understand the Intel D975XBX2 motherboard and 965EE processor will run 64-bit Windows & software.

Is there an advantage to 64-bit and what precautions should I take to go from 32 bit to 64?

Usually, the determining factor is the amount of RAM you have. A 32-bit Windows 7 can use 4 GB RAM max, normally a little less (3.2 to 3.6 GB). A 64-bit Windows 7 can use more than 4 GB of RAM, Home Basic upward to 8 GB, Home Premium to professional, full and business edition up to 192 GB and 16 GB.

If you have Let's say 6 GB or more RAM you will benefit when replacing 32-bit with 64-bit Windows. If you decide to do, the only way is to do a clean, fresh installation; You cannot change the bit version once installed.

Note that you may not even start the 64-bit installation of Windows to a 32-bit Windows desktop. You need to boot your PC with the installation media 64-bit, DVD or USB memory in order to install the 64-bit Windows 7.
