iPad Pro 9.7 cases

OK, so I moved a bunch of cash on a new Pro 9.7 "iPad, Apple pencil and a smart keyboard. I also had a Zagg protective Glass screen. Unfortunately, the back of my beautiful iPad is not yet protected, leaving is sensitive to all kinds of scratches, scrapes and bumps. I need a case that will protect the back of the iPad, hold the smart keyboard, being able to hold the iPad in horizontal or vertical (aka portrait or landscape) and have a place to store the pencil, otherwise it will be probably are lost or dropped several times. After Googling a bit, I was unable to find a case that meets all these requirements. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot for any input.

I have an iPad 9.7 Pro, an Apple Smart keyboard and I use it with the silicone Apple case.  The case offers great protection for the back of the iPad and works well with the Smart keyboard.  I don't have a pencil of the Apple, so I have nothing to recommend relatively to a deal that would also store the pencil.  Hope it will be useful to you.

Can someone give me the dimensions of the cover silicone for iPad pro 9.7 inches; for example, how to bulk it adds to the iPad? Seems silly, I know.  just trying to determine if my pro will still be compatible with a keyboard that I have if I use this cover.

I can't give you the dimensions, but I noticed that it feels like substantial coverage, and my guess would be probably 1/16 + inch; I looked when I took my iPad Pro. Usually cases are quite comfortable - I expect not to be able to put a keyboard top case. I buy a keyboard case and will take off the lid I bought (not Apple) when I want to get somewhere with the keyboard.

  • Best alternative to Photoshop for iPad Pro?

I am a print and web designer and I just bought an iPad Pro. IM has decided to try to work only on my projects using my new iPad Pro for the next few days. Certainly, it should not be a replacement for my iMac, but I want to give it a try.

I notice that Adobe has a lot of products by way of illustration, but I don't see an alternative to Photoshop. Pixelmator is cool, but it's meh. Model of Adobe is also cool, but it lacks a lot of features.

Has anyone found an alternative good photoshop that would allow me to create and edit PSD files, when I travel?

Adobe has many applications of Photoshop.

Search the IOS App Store for only Adobe.

If you want to maintain an all workflows Adobe, Photoshop, in order to get most of the functionality of Photoshop on a computer, you will need to use all the different Adobe Photoshop applications to work with.

If you are using an older version of Photoshop and not the current Adobe Creative cloud suite with subscription, most Adobe applications, in order to better integrate them will pay for a monthly subscription of CreativeCloud or connect to your cloud Creative account if you are already paying a subscription.

If you are using an older version of Photoshop, you'll need to use a service like DropBox Cloud or box or some other Cloud Service, like iCloud Drive Apple, Amazon Cloud Drive or GoogleDrive to bandy your work back and forth between your iPad and your computer.

Adobe, I guess, won't or don't know how to create a version of Photoshop on iOS that is a close approximation of Photoshop on a full blown computer.

Adobe Photoshop full in a variety of applications to cover different areas of Photoshop broke.

You'll find yourself using the multiple applications of Photoshop to cover everything you do with full Photoshop.

You'll find yourself using several apps to do a great many things, perhaps more easily on a computer, no matter what, in any case.

    This is how iOS works.

There is not a single application that will cover everything that you could possibly need.

Working in the iOS is mainly working with multiple applications.

For the work and digital painting and illustration of image editing, you will find that you will have to constantly import/export files from an application to another.

If you don't like this multiple iOS approach Photoshop app, your only alternatives are Pixelmator for iPad and may, in addition, http://bit.ly/joc0zm.

I use apps and paint a little image editing applications, but Pixelmator and http://bit.ly/joc0zm are apps that are in the top of the applications on my big iPad Pro.

  • MacAir vs iPad Pro

I travel a lot and will not always be a wifi access. Thinking about buying an iPad Pro but I'll be able to store documents and view videos (home-made) from an external hard drive that I do now with a Macbook Air? I think I thought I understand there is no USB port on the iPad Pro, so I wouldn't be able to watch my videos? Is this correct? Looks like I'd end up needing both. Thank you very much

There are active WiFi external hard drives that you can use with iOS devices. They generate their own ad-hoc WiFi network, you do not need access to an external. You can, of a large number of them, spread your non-copie protected videos, as well as store other data.

Some cloud computing services will also allow you to broadcast videos of them (or download it to your phone).

Of course, if you buy the largest capacity iPad Pro and are wise everything you put on (do you really need to take it all?) you don't even have an additional disc.

Certainly consider a keyboard, either Apple, or possibly combos beautiful case/keyboard of Zagg.

  • On my iPad pro it asks me to enter my password for itunes 3 - 4 times a day

On my iPad pro, it asks me to connect to itunes several times a day, how can I keep this from happening?

I type my password and a few hours later, the same thing again. In the case of dozens of times a week. It is quite frustrating.

It is certainly a device registered to my account, as I just used it to step 2 check my login information for this question.

    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

  • Update of the MacBook Pro for iPad Pro?

I'm looking to replace my MacBook Pro (MBP) for a new iPad Pro. Apart from the obvious differences that exist between operating systems, i.e. OSX El Capitan vs iOS (9)

Are there specific functions or tasks that cannot be performed on an iPad Pro, which can be done on the MBP?

When it comes to streaming music (Spotify) and video (Youtube, Netflix, Amazon, BBC iplayer etc), will all these without downloading additional software, Flash drives or iOS apps for the iPad?

Any constructive comments will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Most OS X applications with versions of iOS will have reduced functionality located in iOS (for example. (Pages, Numbers, MS Office applications).  iOS is now supported split screen for some applications (not all), but it offers no true multitasking. iOS supports NO FLASH - never has and probably never will be.  Some 3rd party browsers or proxy subscription services offer alternatives to that, but it's not exactly a replacement for FLASH native.  It's the same for Java applications.

iOS is not addressable accessible file system or cross-app of the user, as OS X.  iOS apps are sandboxed to sand and largely unable to interact with eachother or every-other data.

Honestly, even though I love my iPad Pro and use every day for staff and job tasks, it is NOT a true replacement for a desktop computer / laptop.  If your use is very specifically limited to certain iOS apps or certain types of applications that are very conducive to a tablet OS, you should be fine with just an iPad, but if not, you will find you want always a laptop or desktop computer, at least for certain tasks or the types of applications.

Please also note, that iOS devices, like any electronic mass storage, must be saved if you care about your data at all.  Without a computer, your only backup option is to iCloud online backups.  Solutions available iCloud for photography, however, NO do not replace true or complete for archiving your photos elsewhere for guard - should photo be archived elsewhere (computer, another Cloud Computing service) regardless of your choice of iCloud photo service (s).  A computer is a perfect solution for a backup of redundant iOS device using iTunes and iCloud for backups.  A computer is also required to restore an iOS device in the case of a corrupt system, update, install or some other potential recoverable occsionally disaster.

  • First Start Up of the iPad Pro

You just bought a new iPad Pro and when asked if I wanted to open with a copy of another iPad I choose this option. However I was not allowed to use this option but had to open as a new iPad as my new iPad Pro comes with iOS 9.1 and the iPad, I wanted to copy using iOS 9.3.2.

For future reference is there anyway to update an iPad/iPhone new to the current operating system before trying to download all the info of an existing iPad/iPhone or do I have to, as in this case, start from scratch?

    Hello

You must configure pro as as a new ipad ipad and then download the software update ios 9.3.2

Restore iPad to factory settings and then set up again this time using iCloud save when it asks you.

    This also works on iPhone.

    See you soon

  • iPad Pro: LTE connection lose (AT & T).  Peut - iOS9.3 - Related

I noticed, over the last week, many cases where my iPad Pro loses its connection (AT & T).  He goes to 'No Service'.

Ignition and extinction of airplane Mode doesn't seem to help, or not given cellular switching back then didn't seem to help.  So far, only restart it seems to solve the problem.

No, I have not tried a hard reboot (two buttons) yet.  What the heck, I'll probably try that next...

I don't know if it is related to iOS9.3, but it seems to be pretty much in this time...

Anyone else see anything like that?

Try a reboot of the Force. Press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If this does not help, tap settings > general > reset > reset network settings

You will need to enter your Wi - Fi password.

I recently did the 'big' passage of any Pc/Windows/droid to all Apple LOVE IT, however want to cry because I know when I bought the iPad pro it came w/micro office & much more space Icloud (bought due to software) but it does not do anything and I'm COMPLETELY LOST my ipad pro is somehow using my new as I phone6s cloud storage and I do not see Microsoft that comes with the iPad pro. I apologize for my so Apple has challenged, I thought I was a little bit tech savvy but I see I'm in a whole new wonderful world of Apple now but extremely lost even with Siri two Siri at the same time answer please thank you very much

ICloud storage, all devices using the same Apple ID share the same storage iCloud. The main premise of iCloud is to share data between the devices connected to the same Apple ID

About Microsoft Office, it is not included in Apple products. See "Built-in Apps" section of the following link for the applications that are included: http://www.apple.com/ipad-pro/specs/

Microsoft Office applications on iPhones and iPads other than the iPad Pro are available from Microsoft via the Apple App store for free. But in the case of the iPad Pro, Microsoft requires a subscription Office 365 to create or edit documents (i.e., you can only read documents without the subscription if you use a Pro). See the quote below from https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-word/id586447913?mt=8

Word documents read on iPad Pro for free. To create and edit documents, you need an eligible Office 365 subscription. Try it free for 30 days.

  • iPad Pro cover/Stand for movies in bed

    Hello

I got my mom a Pro iPad mainly so that she can watch movies and tv shows on netflix. And usually, she likes to watch in bed. It allows to use his Macbook, which she lay on the mattress or uneven rugs and just look.

Now, with the iPad pro, it's more complicated because the Smart Cover requires a flat-ish surface so that it can act as a stable support. The bed and covers with one person changing the position sometimes makes the iPad tilt to the wire and in the fall with the Smart Cover.

There really are tons of products out there. If anyone has experience with specific coverage or support or the lid/base that works well in bed with iPad pro, let me know!

    Thank you

    Nick

Targus make a case that might be appropriate, but I think it's heavy in daily use. Depends on if you only watch movies.

  • Everyone has understood how to store the iPad pro pencil in the iPad keyboard Smart pro?

It would be good to keep my iPad Pro, pencil and Smart keyboard all together in the case of the keyboard, but if there is a way to store the pen that I still have to find out.  Somebody has a better chance?

There is no way of storage designed into it. You'd have to invent and fixing something yourself. Band Velcro comes to mind.

  • Is there a delay in the signal when using Bluetooth on any iDevice and, in particular, on an iPad Pro?

I am using Bluetooth involved in the use of music made a software with sounds of digital instruments using a musical keyboard hardware connected via the USB cable to Lightning to play sounds from the app on my iPad Pro.

When I try to use a Bluetooth speaker source, there's a 1-2 second delay when I play a chord in the app and when the sound is played through the Bluetooth speaker.

This delay IS NOT the case when I use just the iPad Pro speaker on when I am attaching some small travel speakers to the headphone jack of my iPad.

Only when I try to use my Bluetooth speakers sounds better.

I use a keyboard master Korg MicroKey Air uses the USB port play their own Korg music make its app module.

Someone who makes music on an iPad with this problem at all?

Is this a problem question Bluetooth and/or iOS?

My iPad Pro isn't very strong using these apps do and travel speakers I use plugged into the headset jack music are a little better on the volume, but tend to deform when I try to increase the overall volume level.

I intend to put this issue on the web forums for Korg, but want some answers from anyone who has been playing and recording music on their iPad using an external keyboard to play and record music in an app to do the music.

Also, (and I intend to ask this in the GarageBand for iOS forums) can the iOS version of Garageband output sound on a Bluetooth speaker and quietly delay, too, that I can not get the iOS version of GarageBand to sound output via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth speaker.

    Hi, MichelPM

According to the used speaker, he will always be * some * delay when using Bluetooth to stream audio from an iOS device (or practically any device BT also) through a Bluetooth speaker. I have a Bluetooth speakers system cheaper that I use with my iPad mini 4... I pretty much use it only to listen to sound. If I try and use it for Pinball iOS games I play, there is a delay of environ.5 second anywhere, I'm the speaker. Exactly same phenomenon occurs with the keyclicks when you type it on the iPad keyboard... 5 second delay & even with some applications of synthesizer iOS that I use (Animoog & Arturia iSEM). I think it's just the nature of the beast of Bluetooth.

Higher quality speakers would be better, but I'm not spending more money to find out.

If you want an immediate response with zero real audio keypress delay, I fear, the only way to do this is to use a wired speaker.
