  • Satellite L635 - how to change Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit?

    Need help.

Satellite L635 bought a few months ago with Windows 7 Home Premium installed on the HARD drive. When the first time activate Windows, I can choose 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, then I chose Windows 7 32 bit.

Can I switch my laptop RAM 4 GB, 2 weeks ago. And I come to know that windows 7 32 bits can not read more than 3 GB of RAM. Only windows 7 64 bit can read more than 3 GB.

My question is, how do I change from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows because toshiba gave me Windows 7 install CD / DVD. Windows has already been installed on the HARD drive.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    > because toshiba gave me Windows 7 Installer CD / DVD
Yes, because you must create this disk yourself using pre-installed recovery media creator. But I m wondering why ask this question here because it s mentioned in the user manual you must create this disk as soon as possible. If HDD recovery would fail or install another OS, you need this CD to restore preinstalled settings of Toshiba.

If you use the (boot from it) Toshiba Recovery disk, you should be also asked if want to 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7. So I recommend creating these discs and use it to install Windows 7 64 bit.

The only way that I can temporarily return the old display windows is to change the name of the folder. How can I stop Windows automatically it? Recent changes to your computer. I work towards a date limit and cannot stop windows from doing this and can not find an answer.
    • I have tried going to the Sync Center, but impossible to find a solution. Even tried Sync delete but Windows does not allow this.

Try turning off the center of synchronization to run at startup as follows: http://www.vista4beginners.com/Disable-Sync-Center.  In my opinion, who will take care of the problem.

  • How to change Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit to 64 bit with no disc?

I've upgraded Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit to 32 bit Ultimate.  I want to do a custom 64-bit Setup, but does not.  Now that I've upgraded to Ultimate 32 bit how can I change to 64-bit?  My upgrade was merely a box with an activation key, no disc not provided.  Upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium to Vista buying and don't download from MS Store so no original or the other disk.  Thanks for any help!

You must have the disk to do a clean custom install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Contact the Microsoft Store for a replacement disk:

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7install/thread/fb8230d4-000F-4ee7-b732-c9f8fff28bfd

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

  • How to change Windows registry using JNI to 64-bit JVM?

OK, so I used ICE_JNIRegistry.dll for editing the windows registry in my application. I guess you could write a .vbs (VBScript) file and run it from your Java program. Some examples of using this approach to solve other problems.

  • P3 - 171 how to change Windows 8.1 to Windows 8?

I bought my P3-171. I have downloaded all Windows updates, then I installed Windows 8.1. Then everything became extremely slow, so I decided to go back to Windows 8. Before that, I installed the latest version of the BIOS to v2.07. I see Windows 8.1 has created a new partition of 300 MB.

    Now my questions are:

    1. How can I delete this partition?

    2. How can I use the full factory reset between the recovery DVD (option 2 on the list)? When I try to use it, it is said, that all information must be deleted before you continue (but how?)

    3. If I could somehow, active the 2nd point mentioned above, I will lose the system partition created before buying P3? If Yes, my Windows 8 will remain active after reinstalling it? I don't know if there is any information on this system partition.

I have reinstall Windows 8 but this partition created by Win 8.1 always there. I know it's my fault, but I don't want to have this... That's why I decided to do a complete factory reset (I don't know how it is in English, exactly, but it's the 2nd option after the start-up of the plant since the recovery DVDs).

Sorry for my English, I hope, you can understand my problem, and I hope also, could someone give me a help as well. Thank you, guys!

Just use the recovery for Windows 8 options to restore the system to Windows 8.

Don't you worry about anything else created for Windows 8.1.
