  This document will describe how to close the browser window (without confirmation of the user) who was responsible for starting a session of forms.
  IMPORTANT:
  The sample program in this article is provided for educational purposes only and is NOT supported by Oracle Support Services. It has been tested internally, however and works as described. We do not guarantee it will work for you, so be sure to test it in your environment before relying on it.
  The code in this document uses Java Scripting to achieve his goal. If the client computer does not have Java script active or is blocked, this code will not work correctly. In addition, although this document was written as it applies to Oracle Forms, the functionality of the browser and how Java Script responds that it contains, is not related to the product forms.   I develop using Windows 7, VB.net 2010 and dotnet 4.0.  The application is an x 86 application of Windows Forms using the PrintDocument class for printing.  After the call to PrintDocument.Print, the application manages the PrintDocument events and a print dialog box is displayed that indicates the number of pages that have been printed.  The print dialog box also includes a Cancel button.  I noticed that when a print job is canceled by using the Cancel button in the print dialog box, the print dialog box does not close until the underlying application closes.  When the compiled application is running, the application must close before to close the print dialog box.  When the application is running in the Visual Studio debugger, Visual Studio must close before to close the print dialog box.  The print dialog box also throws an error "a StartDocPrinter call was not issued" when you press the Cancel button.  Once you press the Cancel button, printing of dialogue "pages" message changes to "Cancel printing".

  Running Windows 7 64 bit on a laptop Dell which includes and integrated smart card reader. My configuration does not require a smart card to log on. I was wondering if the smart card reader has worked, I plugged a card chip used on another system. The driver is installed automatically, so it appears the drive works.

  Now, whenever I log in, the "Insert smart card" dialog box is displayed. If I cancel or close the box, he continues to reappear every few seconds. How to disable this behavior?

  The position of the OP, have been reported since a lot of this problem on the some notebooks Dell and HP. There are a few reports that a replacement of the motherboard fixed the problem and the other that the relocation of a certain connector (no mention of exaclly one that) solves the problem. Direct contact with the manufacturer of the laptop computer, Dell or HP wether, might be useful. Try a follow-up if you have already made contact.

  OK, thanks for all your help and ideas. Finally, I gave up running JavaScript, instead, I created another dynamic action that closes the dialog box with a later sequence (for example, it runs after the PL/SQL code).  Now, it closes the windows properly after running pl/sql clause.  Although I still wonder how to run JavaScript because it doesn't do anything, even when I create a process to run javascript directly.
