  Even if I was saving in PDF and uncheck all the extras that cause a larger file, I decreased the size of the files by the trashing of all other pages/layers to save each separately.

  It doesn't really matter for good compression which is the output format, what matters is the method of compression used to compress.

  I tried some of them and the best compression I've seen is called LZMA2, it practically reduces a file size at least 10 times.

  What you can do to use this compression method is to download and install 7zip free http://www.7-zip.org/

  try to compress the original file (use to create the binary file with the extension BIN) with LZMA2 METHOD ULTRA (it's what we call in 7zip) and then compare the output with the binary size and you should see it is almost the same if they aren't better...

  How ever compression takes awhile.

  I will suggest 2 things. First, go to hp.com site and select your device from the five listed here (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html).

  Second suggestion is that you use the HP software to scan your document, where the native format is PDF.

  Thank you for your bug report about the extension to create a file PDF Acrobat being disabled in FF v43.

  It is a known issue and we are working on that.

  We intend to provide support in the future updates.

  Meanwhile, as a solution, you can use Adobe Create PDF extension for Chome and Internet Explorer, or use Acrobat to convert web pages to PDF.

  I do not know if you are aware that the pdf files are normally open with Adobe Reader and intentionally try to use another application?  If this isn't the case, if you download the free Adobe Reader application, you should be able to open PDFs just by double-clicking it.  The following link has the free download (note - suggest you uncheck the "Yes - install McAfee Security Plan more - optional" before download): http://get.adobe.com/reader/

  Thanks much for posting on the Adobe forums.

  I'm sorry, but XML is not a type of file Adobe Acrobat/Reader can open. It can be opened in a browser or Editor (such as Notepad) to view its content.
