How to connect 5.1 speakers to Inspiron 15R edition special (7520)

I bought the computer dell laptop Inspiron 15R special edition (model 7520) two months back.

I am facing problem with 5.1 speakers with my laptop system.

As System 5.1 have 3 shots, and my laptop has only 2 (1 for headphones) and the other for a microphone, there seems to be problem to connect all speakers (front and rear pairs). How can I connect 5.1 speakers to my laptop system?

Is it possible somehow?

I read in some forum, I have to buy an external sound card only, I will be able to get a 5.1.

Answer please, if anyone has faced the same problem and solved.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply, Jim

  • How to record voice on my Dell Inspiron 15R laptop not touch?

    Hello

I'm getting used to my new Dell Inspiror 15R laptop and I am wanting to record some audio tracks I can then download on soundcloud or youtube.  I see a jack for headphones on the side of the computer, but I do not have a microphone.  Is there a built-in to the computer?  Or I have to buy a microphone?  Can I make voice recording with headphones (like the kind you would for Skype with)?  My computer came with the built software with which I can record and edit my audio tracks?

    Thank you!

    sburdick

Hello. There are about 4 different models that Dell sold under the generic name of the Inspiron 15R, so if you need more help, please include the complete of the laptop model name and the name of your operating system.

All current Dell laptops have established in the PRI. Set top, right click on the audio icon on the taskbar (or if you have Windows 8, you'll need to get to the office, I'm not sure), then click on "recording devices". The sound properties will be open on the recording tab find the internal microphone in the list and right-click on it, then click on "enable", click "set as default device".

As an option, while the micro internal is still selected (highlighted), click 'Properties', then the levels tab. This is when you set the volume level for the microphone.

With respect to the recording software, there are very probably only Windows Sound Recorder, which is pretty bare bones. You can use it to test the microphone. To open it, type sound recorder in the search box.

For serious recording and editing you should buy a graphic audio recording program, or download the free program Audacity. Just google Audacity.

With regard to external policy: If there is only one socket on the laptop case, then you have one of the models with a Jack "combo". That kind of jack will not support a regular computer microphone. Catches combined work with smart phone type of headsets, which combine a microphone and headphones in one single take. You can tell if you have this kind of helmet because the connector has 4 segments instead of the normal 3 segments on a stereo plug.

The combined catch take care of normal headphones.

The combined catches do not support stereo plug-in software component line.

You can get an adapter to make a combo Jack accepts a normal computer microphone, but an adapter cannot make a plug combo stereo support line snap. To the stereo line you would need an adapter usb audio that has a line-in socket - that is to say if your computer only has a combo Jack.

  • Inspiron 17R Edition special memory

The laptop can handle 2 8 GB DIMMS for a total of 16 instead of the way it is sold with 8. The laptop would be viable, but the memory it holds.

    Hello

    Welcome to the community.

Well, Dell does not recommend the 2 sticks of 8 GB of RAM installed in the system that could cause a motherboard failure. However to install 8 GB 1600 MHZ chips may or may not work.

Let me know if there are other concerns. Glad to be of assistance.

  • Installation of card mSATA on Inspiron 15R special edition (7520)

    Hey

I have the inspiron 15r is with 1 TB of HDD.

I would like to add an mSATA card to my system to use the TSRI.

    It is possible now?

I am skeptical because I've read online that the systems which were not delivered with 32 GB mSATA card, does not port mSATA for later installation.

When I bought the system at that time dell had the option to add card 32 GB mSATA in the customization section, but now, dell has removed the section full customization from the Web site. And in the pre-configured templates, there is no option for card mSATA.

Please remove this doubt and if possible to post pictures of the system and the daughter card where mSATA card can be installed.

If you need more details about the configuration of my system, feel free to ask.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey everybody!

All those who are willing to buy Dell Inspiron 15R edition special (7520) and want to update the system with card mSATA manually after the purchase, should know that there are two different configurations with which the system is sold. While on one of these configuration it is a mSATA port available on the (number N7JHH) daughter card in the system. While on the other configuration no mSATA port is available on the daughtercard (number MRDMM) present in the system.

Most of the Dell representatives have no information on this subject and they are declaring openly that mSATA cards are compatible with 7520. Don't go by their words and ask specifically if the above mentioned daughter card is present in the system or not. Only a very few of them are stating "If the system was not ordered with card mSATA probably your card mother daughter won't mSATA slot", that too after days of investigation.

If you hope to upgrade the system with card mSATA, then my advice to you would be to take a prudent decision before buying.

    See you soon!

  • Inspiron 15R 7537 does not connect to the mini speakers Bose SoudLink Bluetooth

I can't connect my mini speaker Bose Bluetooth for my Inspiron 15R 7537. It does not appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices so that my cell phone, so I know that Bluetooth is turned on. -I placed the speaker Bose directly next to the Inspiron 15R and tried to add it, but no luck. I am running Windows 8 on this laptop. In the Device Manager, I right click the Bluetooth of Dell and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (whatever it is) and selected 'update software of the reader' but the message came up saying to my drivers are up to date. -I have 2 other Dell computers that work well with this speaker - a desktop computer XPS 8700 running Windows 7 and a Tablet Dell coming 11 Pro running Windows 8.1, so I know that the speaker works. I was able to pair and connect the Bose speakers for them and they play very well. The problem seems to be with the Inspiron 15R. I would like suggestions. Thank you.

  • How to connect Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 5.1 speakers?

    Hello

I want to buy Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 (with processor i7, 8 GB RAM and SSD 256). But the main problem is that I don't know how to connect to System 5.1 surround.

Currently, I have Dell Studio 1555 with 3 audio ports, so it's very simple, but this little laptop is not 3 ports. Is there another solution?

    Thank you

    Hello

I bought a SoundBox USB breakout on amazon widget. won't cost that a tenner delivered, entry and telephone support microphone, output headphones plus 5.1 output and optical output.

You can spend a little more to get a compatible system 7.1, but I got it only for entries to be honest (recording/mixing of music).

  • How to connect speakers to the receiver?

I just bought an audio receiver to Sony (model STR-DH810) to replace my old Sony receiver. I am trying to hook the speakers using same speaker cable I had on my old receiver and speakers.

My old receiver had simple connectors: press the button/flip, insert the wire and release. This new receiver has "dial" I am unable to get the cables to connect the connectors. Y at - there a trick to this? Son of Center speaker appear to be too thin and front speaker wires are too thick. Help, please!

Looking at a picture of the rear panel of your STR-DH810, all connections of the speakers have the possibility to insert the banana plug, instead of using the older spring connectors. With banana plugs, you never have a question of short-circuiting of the speaker with the bare wire through, and they are great for insertion and removal, especially if you have sets of speakers you can interchange Front A or B at high Front. You can wrap the bare wire around the base of the plug banana on the back panel of the receiver, but it is infinitely easier to use sheets bananas. You need a pair of bananas for each speaker cards - a pair of Red-Black, for the more and less speaker wires to each speaker. They are packaged and sold in pairs as a red-black pair per package.

I recommend the open all-metal type screws Monoprice over any closed screw or weld type as in the link below. They are a snap to install on your speaker wires, and then just insert them in making banana on the receiver. Screw type banana plugs are completely reusable with just a screwdriver. To $1.76 per pair, they are half the price of the cheapest pairs of plastic/metal banana plugs available locally from places like Radio Shack.

  • Want to 750-209: how to connect an old sound system to a new computer

I wanted a new 750-209 and a former speaker of Cambridge Soundworks PCWorks 19th Point Surround 4 + under low voltage. There are 2 connector; Left and right who are article 3 (each take manages 3 drivers). The envy has 1 output. It seems that I need a derivation ending in female connectors.

My question? How to connect the two? Is it still possible? I'd hate to have a decent sound system of junk. My needs are basic - just to be able to listen on AOL or YouTube.

Any ideas on how to accomplsh my goal.

Just to close this debate; unfortunaely the quick response has not responded to the problem. BestBuy has suggested that I try a composed of derivation of a shot and 2 containers. Finally, I got the system works 'after' discovery that the enormous power brick disliked the new arrangement of power when I replaced the old computer with the desire. I had to replace an adapter 3 - wat and consolidate the brick. A lot of noise to get her old system to work but now I have the choice of speakers or headphones driven by a hold on a HDMI monitor. All's well that ends well. Thanks for the interest.

  • How to connect 12 '' MacBook (2015) to a 24 "or 27" Apple Cinema Display AND fresh!

I made this post on my site here: https://underground.net/how-to-connect-an-apple-display-to-a-usb-c-macbook/ (which I will update regularly)

This installation took me a LONG time to understand, but it works very well, no wake mode 'sleep', etc.

To connect the new MacBook to a 24″ Cinema Display or Apple 27″ LED Display Monitor (who both have a record which is the same as the Thunderbolt connector, but are not actually screens Thunderbolt) you can opt for a really cheap option, as the following point 3.1 AllSmartLife USB Type C adapter Mini DisplayPort Amazon for $ 20 :

That works very well, but you cannot load your computer when you are connected to the screen, nor can you plug something else on your computer as an external hard drive, etc.

To be able to recharge your computer AND connect to the screen AND connect other devices to your MacBook, you need the following configuration, and it works great, btw.

    1 first download this USB-C for USB multi-port, Belinda® USB-C for 3 ports USB 3.0 , which is about $ 36 on Amazon.

2 then, you need an expensive element, StarTech.com USB 3.0 to DisplayPort 2560 x 1600 video card Multi monitor external adapter (USB32DPPRO), which is around $74 on Amazon:

3 Finally you need a cheap item, the Cable questions DisplayPort / Mini DisplayPort male to female adapter at $ 9 on Amazon:

Plug all the in such things and he ends up you look pretty clean where it connects to the computer, as you can see below and you can plug in the USB port of the screen on the hub and use the speakers on the screen, AND you still an available for a hard drive, external USB 3.0 port.

It will cost you around $119! Wow, that's a LOT, but it works. Or you can go cheap and just get the first card for $20 but charge your MacBook by disconnecting from time to time to plug in the charger. What a PAIN in the * Apple.

The new MacBooks coming will be equipped with a combined USB/Thunderbolt-c plug that should * hope * connect a screen and charge at the same time cheaper, but who knows?

If you want me to your post something, I can put it on the MacBook 2015 using forum boards.
