How to connect my CT50 booklet to PC Windows XP Home edition?

I have a booklet CT50 works under Windows 95 with a docking station. Can someone tell me the best way to transfer files, such as large documents and images, between this and my laptop Windows XP? The booklet floppy drive I have works fine for small files, but is obviously limited. I tried the device infrared, but without success. Two computers can be connected somehow? Thank you.

  • How to recover data after the upgrade to Windows XP Home Edition?

My Windows XP program has been replaced by Windows XP Home Edition. Some data was not justified.

Is it possible to recover the data?

My Windows XP program has been replaced by Windows XP Home Edition. Some data was not justified.

Is it possible to recover the data?

First of all, please note that Windows XP Home Edition is an edition of Windows XP. So it makes no sense to say that your "Windows XP program has been replaced by Windows XP Home." Exactly what edition of Windows XP you have before it was replaced with XP Home?

In the second place, who did the replacement, and exactly how it was? Was this an upgrade? A new installation? He did go in Windows or by booting from the CD XP Home?

Thirdly, it was not justified to exactly what data?

Fourth, it depends on your answers to the above questions, but in all likelihood, it says No Mo is quite right: If you do not have a backup of your data on an external, you're probably out of luck, and the data are gone.

and in regards to a relocation complete your operating system if you go to this path:

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

  • How can I determine why my netbook won't start in Windows XP Home Edition?

I have a netbook Acer Aspire One A0751h multiboot, which recently stopped starting in Windows XP Home (SP3).

I have NOT a CD Windows XP Home OEM (because the netbook does not comes with one).  I can boot from an external USB CD/DVD drive, but this does not help me much because I do not have a Windows XP Home OEM CD.

My boot (GRUB) menu allows me to start in:

    • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (which would be defective, even in safe mode - it crashes after loading the driver for agpCPQ.sys)
    • Windows Vista (loader) (Acer recovery Partition)
    • Ubuntu 11.04 (various kernels - currently 2.6.38 - 11-generic (Natty Narwhal))

If I try to start Windows XP, it hangs up the PC (even in safe mode).

If I boot on the Acer Recovery Partition, I have the options to wipe my system back to factory settings, or move my user data to c:\backup and reinstall Windows (or what is desirable from a distance).

If I boot to Ubuntu, I can mount the Windows Partition to/media/ACER in two clicks.

    How do I:

    1. find out why Windows crashes and won't boot (can't connect to the faulty startup? I tried boot logging and impossible to find a newspaper)?
    2. Difficulty of Windows (I've already scanned the drive under Linux to find errors, and he comes clean)?

If I have to, I can back up my content from the boot drive in Ubuntu, but I tell myself that I should be able to fix my Ubuntu system just as easily (SHOULD be the keyword).  Remember, I can access all the files on my computer from Ubuntu.

    Help!

EDIT: Note that I JUST found that I can boot from a Windows XP Professional OEM CD and enter a recovery console.  Not that this helps me a lot, I can handle files of Ubuntu.

I use windows XP Home Edition. It takes awhile to start when I turn on the computer. How can I speed up this process?

    original title: slow start
    • Faster processor.
    • Fastest hard drive.
    • Faster or more RAM/memory.
    • Less things loading at startup.
    • Appropriate and the most recent hardware device drivers.

In XP, you can cleanup and optimize it in some way, by using the following tips:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end.  This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.
