How to convert m4a music files to files that will play in my windows media player 11
I have most of my songs in my xp windows media player 11 tied up where I can't play or copy them because they are in m4a format, which is the easiest to convert files or change the player
WMP will be able to play the M4A files if you install Of Haali's Media Splitter (aka MatroskaSplitter) and FFDShow.

Music files are not listed in the Windows Media Player library
Music files were deleted from Windows Media Player. The need for a Solution.
AT & T Communication Manager, who gets my mobile internet card online, asked if he could deal with some updates. I had only had the camera for a few days and assumed he was talking about some AT & T software.
Next thing I know he turned my internal computer to the outside. Washed and folded it carefully but seems threw things into the pockets now. I had to hunt for my documents, but a lot of things are different, changed my toolbars, settings on Open Office. Cannot access some files. He was asked to record a program I had a lot of time. Nothing in the Windows Media Player I had the program adds a big chunk of my record mp3 files music. But I think that much of the music in my eMusic account, which now has nothing in it, can be conveniently added (unless I'm going one by one I think). Moreover, my eMusic Download Manager is empty.
I want to reverse sync my mp3 player but don't know how. Should I get Windows Media PLayer 11? I have Vista.
Thank you very much. And if you can help without talking over my head I would appreciate it.
Hey Asher,
1 are the music files on the physical hard disk?Step 1: If music files are present on the hard drive, then we can manually add the files to themedia player library or create playlists accordingly.Step 2: If the files are not deleted permanently from the hard drive, then restore the computer to an earlier time should help. To restore the computer to an earlier time when everything worked well, try the following steps.
a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
b. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
c. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
d. click Finish.Windows Media Player 11 is the media player by default in Windows Vista.

Can I use windows media player to play mp3 and have the recigition speech to convert to text?
You can get on a conversion of 70% in reading a file in Windows Media Player using something like Dragon Naturally Speaking to convert. If you set the playback speed to slow in Windows Media Player to play > play speed, you will get a better result. The best option is to download the file to an audio transcription service, but which generally costs 0, 50-1, 00 per minute of audio.

I am trying to manually rearrange media in a way and records are arranged and named on my Win7 PC. I need to be able to move and rename files and folders individual.
The problem is that the traditional method of doing such things (i.e. the cut/Paste and Rename commands in Windows Explorer) will cause the damaged Windows Media Player library. It seems that all the changes to the paths of the multimedia files must be made in the Windows Media Player interface. However, I'm unable to find options to move or rename files or folders in WMP.I am aware that there is a way to move and rename all the files and the folders that contain media files automatically, but not what I'm looking for. As far as I know, it does not allow me to select only the files and folders, and it offers very limited options for what could be the new places and names. What is the feature I want to exist in WMP? If not, is it possible to do outside WMP which will not cause the damaged WMP library? (Also, if not, why not, Microsoft?)Thank youHello
You can change the location of folders in Windows Explorer. After changing the location, I suggest you to rebuild the Windows media player library. You can check these links: -

Help!
Hello
- What version of Windows are you using?
1. it is possible that you are missing the codec to play the file or it is clashing with other codec files.
2. the link provided below lists supported by Windows Media Player file format.
It does not list the AVCHD or. MTS files supported file format directly:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/3169923. yet we cannot be sure at this point that the issue is due to interference with some files.
Method 1:
Alternatively, you can perform a restore of the system to a previous point, when the issue was not present. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem.Note: When you use System restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
To do this, there must be a restore point from the system in which the connection was successful.
Please refer to the below of the help links on performing a system restore.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-system-restore
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/system-restore-frequently-asked-questionsMethod 2:
You can determine which codec was used with a specific file; read the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On thefile tab, look at the Audio codec and Video codec sections. Then you can uninstall any installed codec and install that you need to do the job file.
If you have several codec for the single file to work they can clash and cause problems.
You can check the link for assistance on the issue - belowhttp://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questions

I suggest you to save music downloaded to the location of music library (Libraries\Music) files, it automatically adds the Windows media player files.
You can also manage the library and add the location where files are saved.

I don't understand why a video clip of 42 MB that looks perfectly crisp and clear and play 'out of the box' in Windows Media Player seems to blur and "pixelated" in items 9. It also does not work smoothly, instead she jolts in the first seconds of the clip, then stops. I thought Elements 9 recognizes the characteristics of the file and allows you to adjust its settings to play automatically. I didn't have to adjust anything in Windows Media Player, it just has played, so I thought that elements 9 would know how to display and play as well. Is there something I need to do to address the Elements 9?
In addition to excellent suggestions of Neale, you will see an improvement in the results if you return your file.
Your video has a red line above it on your timeline? It is an indication that the segment must made. Press ENTER. The red line goes to the Green and your reading should be much closer to what your end result will look like.
WMVs - especially hi-def WMVs - are not the best sources for Premiere Elements projects. WMVs are mainly broadcast formats.
To the right of this forum FAQ offers information on converting your WMVs to more editable formats.
