The camcorder files have no sound when played back with Windows media player
Videos from my camcorder Sony have not all sounds when I try and view them using Windows Media Player. I need to burn a DVD with audio and video from camcorder files. How to overcome the lack of audio?
Just a guess... but maybe you need an AC3 Filter:

Hello.
I don't know what I clicked at all initially, but now, most of my programs have been converted to open it with Windows Media Player, so that they cannot work.
Even when I click on the system restore (to undo changes I've done previously), Windows Media Player opens and there will be a window that says that you can not read this .exe file.
I'm stuck and I don't know how else to solve this problem. Help, please!

The files have already been burned on a DVD and therefore cannot be converted. However, you can download and install third-party codecs to play .m2ts files.

Video distortion when playing DVDs on Windows Media Player 12
I have indserted a Comercial de DVD in my DVD player to play a movie on Windows Media Player 12. When the video came out, it was thousands of multi-colored square blocks. I tried receting on WMP options, in the case where I changed a setting trying to do something. I checked in WMC as well and it does the same thing. I checked several discs defferent. I checked the updates. I even ran several viruses, spyware and Root kit scanning with luck now. I scanned my registry to find errors. I'm out of ideas. Can someone help me please?
I discovered that a major alteration in the partition of OEM software was interfearing with the functioning of Windows 7. So I reinstalled windows 7 delete all partitions on the disk. This not only corrected this problem, but 98% of the other problems I had with Windows 7 and its components. Although the internal DVD player has partially failed and did not read something more then a bootable disc (which I am happy that it works always in that my external DVD writer is not recognized as a drive bootable BACK), my external drive is now able to read everything properly in Windows 7 and I can now use any program including WMP to play all DVD discs or any other disc I need to read.

Problem when trying to watch a webinar recorded with Windows Media Player
I get an error saying that Windows Media Player cannot play the file. A network firewall might prevent the player to open the file by using the UDP transport protocol. If you typed a URL in the open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:"). I'm watching a recorded webinar and may not have to work, can anyone help?

I have no sound when playing my clips by adobe first 12 elements. How to fix this? I checked all the audio levels and there is no mute etc. I've updated to 12.1, but still no sound in clips. Not even on the old files that are used to work.
Bfun
What operating system is running your first items 12/12.1? Can we assume that this audio reads OK
on the same computer when you use a computer independent of Premiere Elements drive?
What are the properties of these clips that have worked before, but don't know regarding sound
For now, I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bits.
Have you checked the settings change preferences/Menu/Audio ASIO hardware? You have all 3rd party audio devices integrated in your IT environment?
Please delete the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file and, if it does not, then all 12.0 folder in which the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file exists. Is the path to 64-bit Windows 7, 8 or 8.1
Local disk C
Users
Owner
AppData
Roaming
Adobe
First Elements
12.0
and in the 12.0 folder, is the file Adobe Premiere elements Prefs that you delete. If this does not work, then delete all 12.0 the folder in which the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file exists. Make sure that you work with the Option "Show hidden files, folders and drives" of the current folder so that you can see the full quoted path.
You have the installation files or the installation disc with the serial number purchased in case we need to use to uninstall/reinstall?
We will follow your track to the top.

AVI video files play sound but no video in Windows Media Player 7
My video files avi play sound but no video in Windows Media Player 7. Video files avi are since 2002 and has played very well until I'm a new PC with Windows 7 so I know that the files are not corrupt. All my other files and videos play fine in Media Player. I checked online and seen the posts in other forums on the codecs being the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? Based on the other forums I found it seems that it is not uncommon that a problem with Win7.
Also, is it possible to convert audio and video files in different formats with Media Player? Or do I need any other software to do this?

It is not that there is a problem in Windows 7, it is more likely that you don't have just the installed CODEC the video file is saved with. You will need to find a source, download and install any CODEC no MS yourself. You can use GSpot to identify CODECs used in AVI files. An alternative to downloading of many individual CODECs is to install FFDSHOW instead. Some media players like VLC and Media Player Classic also have internal CODECS and support for a wide variety of video and audio file types.
