  Something to try...

  Insert the Flash drive into a USB port and go...
  Start / computer.

  The Flash Player must be recognized as a removable
  Drive with a drive letter.

  Example:
  Removable disk (e :))
  Removable drive (g)
  Removable disk (h :))

  OK... now you know... the drive letter to your
  Image folder... Start button / my images.

  If you right-click a selected group of photos or a complete
  You should be able to choose the folder... Send to / removable
  Disk (? :))..) .This must copy the photos into the Flash Player.
  (Also you could hold your Ctrl key and select several files)

  Although 7Zip is a program that can open the zip (compressed files) files.  It is not integrated with Windows, so someone who uses your computer must have installed for you.

  Anyway, once you have opened the zip file and got the pictures inside, did drag-and you - drop to somewhere else?  If only, you have opened the zip file and from there on, you could never actually copying the files to the flash drive.

  I would advise against ever record directly onto a flash drive. For no reason I can understand this often broken leaves files behind.

  Instead, just save it to your desktop and drag it to the usual flash drive (in Windows Explorer or the Finder).

  Go to your photos directory, then right-click on a photo and use the "SEND TO".

  Your flash drive will appear as a removable drive in the list of destinations.

  Note that this will leave a copy on your computer, which is a good thing... :-)

  Probably, your USB is formatted for a PC and not Apple. Most of them is set form in format FAT 32 PC, or something similar.  This format limits any file size to 4 GB.   It must be in MAC OS extended (journaled) format. Order/Get Info lets you know how it is formatted.    If it's not MAC OS extended (journaled) Apple, you can reformat the drive to MAC OS extended (journaled) using the utility disc on your Mac application.    You must first remove all files from your USB drive to a different drive, because reformatting the flash drive will delete all the files it contains.  Once the flash drive is reformatted, you will be able to tailor your movie on this subject, assuming that other files do not use disk space.
