How to create a nwetork directory in datapump

Hello

I use the export utility to export the database in a network folder \\oranasxxx\oraclebackup. This has been possible because I can give the file=\\oranasxxx\oraclebackup\xxx.dmp

However, I intend to move the backups to data pump where in I need to create a directory inside the database. (create the directory dir as "\oranasxxx\oraclebackup")
When I create an Active Directory as above. Oracle cannot see the network directory.

Is there anyway to create a directory of network location and take backup expdp dump of the data directly to the network folder.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello

Check the note metalink ID 428130.1 - Impossible to export to a mapped network Drive using DataPump, I think it explains how to use with network directory datapump.

  • How to create a new directory that works in exe format?

    Hi friends.

    I wanted to design a program that stores data and I want to keep this data in a directory next to my program. In the format of vi, all is well (I have attached an example of what I've done). But when I change my program in exe format it does not create the directory? I think it's because of the path of the vi! But how can I implement this design? Please help me.

    First of all, thank you for taking the time to solve the problem.

    I apologize if there are errors in the format used for the display of this issue.

    I have a procedure that generates data in the csv file and is loaded into a directory.

    I have a requirement to plan this procedure should be performed every week.

    I did the above two steps successfully.

    but the problem am facing is that files are downloaded in the directory location for the oracle server. but I need the files to load to my own record of operating systems.

    IE my PC is not the database server, but I thought to create a directory on the operating system of my own PC C:\ drive.

  • How to CREATE a DIRECTORY using local directory

    Hi all

    I want to get some data to the local computer from the remote database service, so I use a stored procedure to get these date and save them in a file before you perform the procedure, I have to CREATE a DIRECTORY ensures that the path of the file.

    I use to CREATE a DIRECTORY on the local computer OCCI using, as: "CREATE or REPLACE DIRECTORY MSGDIR AS 'C:\test'" and I can't find the file in C:\test, I found the answer on the internet about this problem, it seems that use to CREATE a DIRECTORY on the database of service rather than on the local computer.

    Anyone know how to CREATE the local directory to use?
    Or give me advice to get the data to the local computer in my case?

    Best regards.
    It looks that CREATE DIRECTORY use the directory on the database service rather than local machine.

    Exactly. Where it States Furthermore?

    Anybody knows how to CREATE DIRECTORY use local directory?
    Or have any advice to get data to local machine in my case?

    1 all simply cannot do it. It is not possible, because this would be a serious security breach.
    2 of course, you can share the directory on the server to the network and configure a share on your local machine.
    It's so simple, most people think about it.
    You might also consider using Apex or utl_http directly.

    Waylin

    You shouldn't really need to create a temporary directory - especially for the Brother printer drivers.  You can download it at any place that you can easily find (like the office).  Then double-click it to run it (run) on it and let it install.

    I realize has their instructions (probably the ones found here<-- that="" is="" a="" link)="" say="" to="" download="" the="" file="" to="" a="" temporary="" directory="" -="" but="" i="" just="" downloaded="" the="" file="" you="" need="" (mfc-240c-inst-win7-a2.exe)="" and="" double-clicked="" on="" it="" and="" it="" doesn't="" have="" to="" be="" anywhere="" special. ="" it="" will="" 'extract'="" to="" the="" native="" temporary="" directories="" as="" needed="" (nothing="" to="" be="" concerned="" with)="" and="" then="" ask="" you="" to="" choose="" a="">

    Which I suppose you want to English (as shown), and then you click OK.

    He then expand some additional files and then ask you to accept a license agreement (I suggest "Yes" If you want to go further):

    In your case... choose 'Standard' and click Next and continue in this way until it is installed.  Then (once Setup is complete and closed) you can restart the computer (first and foremost) and then delete the original file you downloaded (MFC-240 c-inst-win7 - A2.EXE) on your desktop (or downloads, etc.)

    You should get through it.

  • How to create a Shell (.sh) file in Oracle using PL/SQL?

    Hello world

    I would like to know how to create a .sh file or any .txt file in Oracle. I would like to get the contents of the file from a table that has different settings. I used bcp in SQL Server and wonder if it's possible in Oracle to create this file.

    Here are the DDL and DML in the table:

    Hello

    With a minor correction, it works on Unix/putty:

    -I assume that you have already created the DIRECTORY (line 01); my directory is on Unix "/ tmp"-you can use on Windows

    CREATE the DIRECTORY DEST_DIR AS 'C:\Users\Julaayi\Desktop\ ';

    -You run SELECT in a variable (ctlCode) and output then the content of this variable in your file.

    -If you have multiple records in the ETL_CTL table, and then use a FOR LOOP.

    CREATE DIRECTORY XX_DIR AS '/tmp/';
    --
    DECLARE
      fileHandler UTL_FILE.FILE_TYPE;
      ctlCode varchar2(2000);
    BEGIN

      select 'scp abcdf@'|| SOURCE_SERVER_1 ||':'|| SOURCE_PATH_1 || EUROPE_1 || EUROPE_NAME
            ||' ' || DEST_SERVER || DEST_PATH || DEST_EUROPE_1
      into ctlCode
      from ETL_CTL;
      UTL_FILE.PUTF(fileHandler, ctlCode);

  • How to create a shortcut for all users during installation

    Hi people,

    We have a desktop application that is distributed with Java Webstart and works on Win7 machines. Initially, users all connected using a connection by default, so creating shortcuts was not a problem. Now, because of new networking strategies, each user has his own connection.

    The problem is that the shortcut to the application is created in the user profile (for example "C:\Users\JohnDoe\", so that other users in the same machine can not run the application unless he or she installs the application again.)

    Is there a way to create this shortcut for all users using JNLP API or configuration in the xml file?

    If anyone has need of the solution: during installation I save the jnlp file in a directory accessible to all the world and then start the application using "javaws path\to\file.jnlp". • How to create the Indesign application with vc ++

    Hello

    I want to ask that how to create Indesign application using vc ++?

    I am able to develop applications in c# using COM and generate an Interop.Indesign.dll using the Adobe Indesign CS5.5 typotheque

    I am sucessfully create instance of Indesign using this code

    Type = Type.GetTypeFromProgID ("InDesign.Application");

    Application InDesign._Application = (InDesign._Application) Activator.CreateInstance (type);

    I'm not understanding how to use COM with vc ++ or there is another method to create an instance of Indesign using vc ++.

    or

    How to use Interop.Indesign.dll in vc ++ to create the instance of indesign.

    There is no .tlb file in indesign directory by which I generate .h and .cpp file that I can use in my project.

    I want to create Indesign in vc ++.

    Thank you

    Hi, I'm not a programmer VC ++ itself, so you can't give the code, but I can give some general measures that can you can get and hopefully solve your problem.

    We can use the COM Indesign object to hunting Indesign and its functionlaity of VC ++ or c# and other. What we need to do is import tlb files in our project so that we have the declerations of the methods exposed by the COM of Indesign interface and make a call to them.

    The .tlb file is present at "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version Visual Support\7.0\Resources for Basic.tlb 7.0\en_US\Scripting. You can use this to create your .h files using the #import statement.

    Once you have created .h I think that you will be able to call the methods of Indesign, of course, you will need to create an instance of the Indesign application.

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4407895#4407895

    Take a look as they discuss the issue that you are facing.

    PS: The .tlb file exists in several places in your system in order to be sure that you use the last LBR. You can search for "resources for Visual Basic.tlb", rename it, and then start Indesign (it must re-create these files that will have the latest model of the object). On Win7 launch Indesign using Admin privelages to other teas file will not be created.

  • How to create a jar for icons

    Hi all

    How to create a jar for icons? Please help me thanks in advance.

    Sarah

    Hi Sarah!

    To do this, you use at best the jdk (java development kit) which is already
    installed on your pc in forms is installed.

    Copy all your gif icons in a folder
    Open the command prompt and in this folder.

    If we assume that you have installed forms in the default directory, call the jar.exe like this:

     x:\DevSuiteHome_1\jdk\bin\jar -cfv your_icons.jar *.gif

    This will create a jar file in the same directory.
    Copy the jar file into your x:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java folder.

    Then open your formsweb.cfg x:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\server and change your configuration entry under the

    archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar

    TO

    archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar, your_icons.jar

    Please check if in your formsweb.cfg so the imagebase is set to the code base.
    If this isn't the case, create a parameter in your config entry:

    imagebase=codebase

    Now the jar file is loaded when you start your application and the icons are
    turns red from the jar file.
