By default, it starts whenever I have to logon. It's annoying, because I just want it to start once a day to change the wallpaper. However, using the Task Scheduler, I put only a trigger to start "at the opening of session' or"once a day." If I choose once per day, it runs about 5-10 min after I login, instead of logon immediately after. If I choose the two triggers, then it starts after each session.

  Basically, I just want the Task Scheduler to launch the program after the connection the first time I connect to the computer on any given day. How can I do this?

  For the standard tables in PL/SQL, you will need to create your own API (using procedures and functions) to handle beyond the basics provided by the language. No constructors and methods as it is no o - o.

  Temporary tables, in the sense of the tables that are created on the fly and fell just as they are used, are almost never a good way to do anything in Oracle. Explain what you want to do, and someone will help you find a good way to do it.

  When you enter Oracle, check everything you know from other RDBMS at the door.

  In Oracle, there is that one database (by instance). One instance opens not more than one (files collection) database at a time. In other RDBMS, there is such a thing as "databases", a concept that might be somewhat comparable to the tablespaces in Oracle. As a user, you are affecting access to a schema, not a database. For meanings of these words/terms Oracle, opt for a document called the Concepts guide.

  With XE, there is a limit of an instance (thus the database) installed by machine. In other editions, you can create multiple instances by installation of the server software (on one box). (But it is not in this forum).

  So when you installed XE, he also created the database, called XE, properly. And the identifier of the instance, ORACLE_SID, XE.

  What you then depends on what awaits the installation of the application routine. Maybe you just provide the correct connection string and the Setup program takes care of the rest.

  If this isn't the case, it might be enough to create a tablespace and app schema, with privileges for the associated connection previously. This can be done by opening a command (command-line SQL) sqlplus prompt and:

  You should avoid granting AQ_USER_ROLE, because this role provides enough privileges to the queue or the print queue on the 8, 1-style queues or superiors.

  Since you have not provided no version information, it's a little hard to know if it is applicable to your case. However, this should be a case of applying logic/troubleshooting/debugging skills to determine what privileges are missing.
