  You need not repeat dozens of times or use profanity to get help.

  (1) disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on this tab. Don't know what it does? When in doubt, turn off:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Use the links above a disabled extension to restart Firefox if some seem to.

  (2) restore your Google search engine:

  You can change your homepage settings:

  You can also change your search preferences by changing the provider search engine to your search bar - what will change the home page search bar and the search engine used in your address bar when you enter a query instead of a web address.   I'm not sure what you're saying, but I know that you say that a new tab opens to a page of AVG search instead of a Google search page. Default Firefox does not open a search in a new tab page.

  'AVG Safe' is an extension installed with "AVG Free" search, it is not a topic: config entry, you would disable the zone of Entesnions addons ("Ctrl + Shift + A") or tools > Options > Add-ons. You can find some other junk related to your problem: config and filtering on AVG or all that are in the form of a url on your page you see.

  Insofar as research is integrated with Google as default search bar works perfectly fine for me.

  Hi, I was able to remove it but simply to remove AVG search engine to search "pre-selected". You can do this in the search box on the part superior RIGHT (see screenshot).
