How to disable or get rid of the supreme savings plugin? It is not listed as a plugin, but it still seems. Help, please.

Somehow a plugin with the name of ads by supreme savings plugin got on my computer. It slows everything down and I won't. It does not appear on the list of the plugin so I can't turn it off. I went through regedit to remove all references to the supreme. I even uninstalled Firefox and downloaded the latest version, without success. I leave my bookmarks, etc. - would be - why this plugin is still there? Does anyone else have this problem? Can / will someone help? Thanks for trying. Craig

Thanks for a quick reply. After I posted this question, I continued to try to locate the plugin - and I did, under the Extensions. I took it from there. I'm not positive at this time were the "plugin" in the Control Panel, I normally look there, and it is not located there now. I found it a bit odd that he was only in a section of regedit. My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32 bit OS with 2 GB of ram.
Thanks again for the quick response. HAGD

I understand your concern, however in Adobe Acrobat DC / component tools Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on the right is a central element of the user interface & can not be disabled permanently or by default.

Some of your customers have raised the same issue & like them you can also fill the form feature of Adobe - feature request/Bug Report Form

I have an old all in a 1200 Series printer that I have attached to my new laptop, Microsoft Pro 3 Surface.  It was working OK, but now I have a message of paper jam that will not disappear.  What can I do?

  • get rid of the kiosk - my user account is not displayed.

I bought a hp envy sleekbook with Windows 7, I created for users, one for me and my spouse. The first restart, I did it, I got the Kiosk user I didn't know the password so I chose to change user oddly it only allow the connection of my wife and not mine despite two admins so I was going to sign him out then he would allow me to identify you. I continued in this way until I got divorced. So I thought that if I deleted her user when I passed from user to the connection of the Terminal my user woul be the one. Now I can not connect through kiosk, Office Depot gave me all the combos that they knew and none worked and it does not yet display my user login at all and now I'm stuck on my laptop password! &

As I said, they don't know what password that was used when purchasing

It seems like you were a little careless with your machine. It is mandatory for me, always have a fully tested spare admin account. After all, this is my machine and I want to be able to use it, no matter what.

You can solve your problem by using a somewhat convoluted method. It requires that start you the computer with a CD repair system. Ask a friend to burn you through the control panel / Backup and restore, then use it to start your machine in Repair Mode. You will not have a password. Now use system restore to set up Windows to a point before you deleted one of your ex-wife and admin account.

If the system restore does not restore this account so please check back here for additional instructions.

  • How can I block/get rid of the window "changing browser settings?

There is this window that appears in the corner of FireFox I have met before, but now whenever I click on an option it will not go away. I have to go to the Preview on the icon of FireFox window and close it like this, but it keeps appearing every 20 minutes approximately. I am getting very frustrated because I can't seem to make them disappear, and I would like to know if I can block it.

I know that this isn't my anti-virus because it the window appears exactly like FireFox.

I restarted my computer several times as well and it didn't fix it.

In fact, Kalpersky does both, the antivirus is just easier to say.

In any case, I just uninstalled and reinstalled FireFox to correct the problem. Guess I had to fix myself after all. Thanks, I guess.

Stop, firefox does not come with ads, probably arrived to cause you to install malicious software.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

  • get rid of the email in Outbox that does not send when I used the reply and forward.

When I got trouoble replying to email messages went to my Outbox and stayed there.  I decided to clean things up so I deleted them.  Now, whenever I connect to the computer until get the message at the bottom of the screen it says 1 mailing of 4.  There is nothing to send because I deleted everything in the Outbox.  How can I get my computer to stop trying to send emails in the Outbox that I deleted.  Any help that anyone can give me in this matter would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks again.  Dolly.

You don't mention your e-mail program. If you use Outlook Express, follow these steps.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

    Compact often as specified above.
