How to disable the floppy drive 0 seek failure message?

After a restoration of factory on my computer, I get the message 'diskette drive 0 seek failure; F1 to continue... "Could someone tell me how to get rid of this message so I don't have to press F1 each time.

I disabled the disk but it doesn't help. My computer is perfectly healthy, not having other problems.

my computer is a dell inspiron 530 and I am running vista.

If you disable in try the Device Manager in the BIOS.

    Hello

I use VMware Workstation 10, and I found a bug:

With the all-new virtual machine (for example with Windows 8 x 64), if I choose a hard SATA and SATA DVD drive in VMware and I have to disable the floppy drive in the VMware BIOS, Windows 8 (or Windows 7) ISO does not start.

If I come back in the BIOS to enable the floppy drive once again, my ISO boot.

If I use the DVD IDE drive in VMware options, no problem if I disable the floppy drive.

    With "EFI mode", no bugs.

  • How to fix the floppy diskette seek failure at startup

I have a Dell E520 desktop running windows 7 which has a "floppy" seek failure when I boot. My computer has 1 internal hard drive, a CD-ROM drive and a floppy drive. The problem started after I restored to the conditions of the factory settings in the BIOS Setup.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

    ·         You use the floppy drive?

Method 1: Disable the floppy drive

Disable the floppy drive by going to the configuration of the training (don't know exactly how it's called, because it differs from the models) and selecting the floppy drive. You will then see an option to disable the floppy drive (floppy drive).

    (a) press F2 to enter the BIOS

    (b) of the devices to boot or Boot Device Priority

    (c) or set the floppy drive on disabled

Method 2: Change the boot order so that the hard drive is listed everything first or otherwise prior to the floppy drive.

The boot order should be as follows.

    First priority - hard drive

Second priority - CD ROM drive

    Last priority - floppy drive

Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    1. the floppy drive is enabled in the BIOS settings.

To resolve this issue, use the system setup program to disable the floppy drive in the computer BIOS. You can contact the manufacturer of your computer to help make these changes.

  • Time for the floppy drive go!

I want to remove my drive from my office disk to make room for my gear to go in Assembly before USB. I went to the hardware Manager and uninstalled the floppy drive, cut and removed it but when I put turned upward once again, notice the "found" material and reinstalled quickly when he is not physically here! I spent out of sequence here or missed something else? Have you seen as 'Standard floppy disk controller' still listed as well in the hardware Manager, also had to be uninstalled?

    Thank you

  • 5102na HP OMEN: how to disable the audio correction Bang & Olufsen horrible?

Is there someone who could tell me please how to disable the audio correction Bang & Olufsen? I'm sure that some people like it but I work with audio and I can't really how it changes the sound. I tried to open the Bang & Olufsen sign but I cannot unselect the correction in the section "listening experience", nor that I can change the associated equalization. Please someone help, thanks!

    I found a solution: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Beats-Audio-compression-and-volume-fluctuation-HP-ENVY-m6/m-p/5137867/highlight/true#M67144

    1. Go to the Windows Device Manager > sound, video and game controllers section.
    2. In the list of the audio device drivers, look for Realtek High Definition Audio. This is the device driver for BeatsAudio (a bit sneaky, wouldn't you say?).
    3. Right-click and select disable. Down arrow on this driver, indicating it is disabled. (NOTE: at this point, you will not be able to play music files.)
    4. Right click and select Update driver software.
    5. Select Browse my computer for driver software.
    6. Select Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
    7. You should see a window that says Select the driver to install for this hardware device. NOTE: If you see a window that says something like This is the best driver for this device, close the window and repeat steps 4, 5 and 6.
    8. In the scheme box, select Audio device high definition (this is the device driver audio substitute) and click Next.
    9. In the Update driver warning window, click Yes. You should see a confirmation with the high definition Audio Device display window. Click on Close.
    10. In the list of drivers of audio device in the section audio, video and game controllers, you will notice that the high definition Audio device now displays instead ofHigh Definition Audio Realtek.
    11. When prompted to restart, click Yes.
    12. Now enjoy your music with no compression!

This does not disable audio-Bang & Olufsen, but I just installed this EQ across the system instead: http://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/

HP needs to release a driver which allow us access to the "Improvements" tab so we can turn off "Loudness equalization" (although "Loudness equalization" should not be on by default in the first place).

    The current driver is default.

  • How to remove the floppy write protection

How can I remove write Protection from a disk 1.3 MB

Sometimes the switch 'cursor' on diskettes 3,5 "bit was removed (to create the disk read-only permanently). If this is the case, then just put a piece of opaque tape over the 'hole' (where the slider switch was)... and you'll be able to write to the diskette.

If you hold the diskette if you are looking at the rear, the slider switch (or a hole where was the slide switch) is at the bottom RIGHT.

Please note that the 3.5-inch disks came in various capacities (the two most common are 720 KB and 1.44 MB. If you hold the diskette, then you're looking at the back, then there will be a hole on the bottom LEFT, which is used to indicate the command what is the capacity of the disk. If my memory is good, there will be a hole in the bottom LEFT (when you see the back of the disc), for drives with capacity of 1.44 MB, and if no hole is on bottom LEFT, then the floppy drive is 720 KB.

My point... If you need to put a piece of opaque tape over the hole where the playback cursor / writing has been (to make writable disk), don't forget to put tape over the hole at the bottom RIGHT (looking at the BACK of the disc... and 'back', I mean the side without label and where can be seen the axis of the disc).
