I recently replaced an old printer HP psc 2410 photosmart with a new Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer. The installation went fine without error messages, and it will print, scan and copy very well. When I insert a memory card into the slot, the printer itself recognizes files and displays them on the LCD screen and offers to print. BUT... what I want to do is to download the files on my PC (Windows XP), and I can't understand how do! There is no program of HP that appears and offers to transfer the photos as with my old printer. I also expected to see the map locations shown as a removable disk, as I did with my old printer, but I don't see them. In addition, my Photoshop Elements program does not recognize the card slots to be.
Then it dawned on me that my computer 'sees' map locations because it is not connected directly to the printer! I created this as a wireless printer and I am totally new to this, so sorry if this is a stupid question... but there no way to transfer files from the PC card slot in a wireless configuration? I'm totally confused...
Hello
If your printer is connected to the network or wireless network, you must access it through the IP address.
Find the IP address of the printer. You can do this by clicking on the network icon on the front panel of your printer.
Open Windows explore and type \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip address of the printer.
You will see the memory card slot there.
You can do a "map network drive" to it if you want your printer card slot to be registered permanently.

How to export pictures from a sd card to lightroom and and external hard drive at the same time
Hello
Is it possible that I can export my photos from my lightroom cameras sd card and an external hard drive at the same time so I have pictures original/master in both places
Thanks in advance
Tracey
Hi Robert!
Looks like you want to make a backup during import. If this is the case, you can designate a different location for a second copy when importing.
- Check the mark a second copy of box in the management of the files Panel and choose your external drive in the menu drop-down
- Then you set regular destination of Lightroom in the Destination panel.
However, if you mean that you want in the foreground images in Lightroom, but have them physically located on an external drive, then all you need to do is choose this drive in the Destination panel. Lightroom Catalog can be on a different drive.
I find it useful, however, to use the automatic backup in file management Panel in case.

I have a Lexar card and need to know how to download pictures to the computer
I have a Lexar of my camera card and I need to know how to download pictures to the computer
Most of the cameras equipped with a cable to connect to a computer via usb.
Plug in, turn on the camera, windows should it detect automatically as a removable drive.
Use windows Explorer to access this drive and drag-and - drop photos you want on your pc.
If you have a card reader, you can remove the card from the camera, put it in the drive and then browse your removable drive and drag and drop your photos. -

Download pictures from an SD card creates duplicate Images
Hey all -
When I download pictures from an SD card from my camera via my computer's card slot, Lightroom seems to want to download ALL images on my card, including those that are already on my hard drive same destination, even though I checked the "Do not import suspected duplicates" in the Section "Filehandling" from the 'Import' in Lightroom window. Who's here - by is create several images in duplicate with a - 2 at the end of the file name, as well as take considerably more time to load than expected for just the value of a few days of News pictures that I want to download in the process.
I use the 'Rename of Images' function with the model 'Date - Filename', as well as the option "organize into subfolders: by Date ' Destination, with the format YYYY-MM-DD.
I could of course delete all pictures on my camera memory cards to avoid images duplicate being around in the first place. But, for many good reasons, I like to keep some of my images on my camera, even if I already downloaded them on my computer before.
My work around this problem so far has been to download them all, (again), then use the filter tool to list all images that have file names that end in-2, and then remove the disk, using the delete key. As a side note, I tried to set up a collection of smart to automatically set a filter like that for me, whiich he does very well, but unfortunately the images seen from within smart Collections are not removable.
If there is in any case to prevent Lightroom u / ing these images duplicate in the first place, since the box checked stating "Do not import suspected duplicates" doesn't seem to work, I would be very happy to know how to do this.
Thanks again,
T.
In the central panel of the screen, you must select New Photos. It is located between ALL and any DESTINATION PHOTOS, copy as DNG copy move add menu.

How to recover pictures on SD SanDisk card 512 MB, which was quick formatted?
How to recover pictures on SD SanDisk card 512 MB, which was quick formatted under Windows XP SP3?
The SD card has been affected through SanDisk Imagemate 12 in 1 model number: SDDR - 89 V4.
The camera was a digital pocket old KODAK cam 4 years... (Sorry that's all I know for the camera)
Thank you
P.S. I think remember that names of index files are changed? Is there an easy Undo?
I haven't used any of them personally, but there is a certain utilities - free - many who claim to be able to recover pictures from SD cards and similar media, even after a format.
Recuva, which is free, should be able to recover the images from your SD card after a quick format. Or try this: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=recover+files+from+sd+card

Cannot download pictures from an SD card
original title: formatting drive f
Why I can't download pictures from my sd card?... He used to work, now he days it needs to be formatted. If I said that I won't lose anything on the map!
Hello
There are two possibilities here:
1. your SD card gives signs of corruption and may very well be becoming unreadable.
Next time, transfer the data on two different SD card just in case, with the other being a new card. Try those from Sandisk.
2 playback card (built-in or external) that you are using does not well. Try a different card reader.
