How to eliminate the sites that appear in the box on my home page?

There is a rectangular box on the home page under the search box. It has three websites displayed in it. It could be as a result of my visit some Web sites, not sure. I would like to clear this box. What is the procedure to do this?

How about you give us specific information so that we can try to help you? You have not yet verified what 'home page' you're talking about, the default value: home page or another web page that you set as your home page.
