  After you make the selection, file-> export-> Audio Mixdown (Ctrl-Shift-Alt-M).  In the dialog box:

  Mix options

  Source: click on the radio button of the track and ' all titles and master (separate files) from the context menu.»

  Range: choose "Selected" from the context menu.

  If you want to see the exported tracks to change immediately, check the box "insert Mixdown into:" and select "Edit View" from the context menu.

I tried to put a new path "pan and scan", but it covers the complete timeline and I can't reduce it to the term "covering" a single clip (which you can do with track ranking). I come from Apple Color where pan & scan was an individual tab object in each clip, so it was really easy to do and save it inside the eye.

  Yes, ' pan and scan ' track covers the complete chronology, which is normal. For pan and scan only one item put a keyframe where each clip starts, this is the way that works the SG.

Why?  I shoot a LOT of stock natural history and then take a full hardware spool in the timeline panel and do my corrections of colors as well as in and out points and any other position working... I THEN export the sequence as well as a folder that lands the individual clips of color / edited "new" at it like the INDIVIDUAL sequences...

  In FCP I take my first reel & leave it alone; I make a new folder called Clips export... then I select all the clips on the timeline - the clips edited; drag them to my REPORT CLIPS folder; then cntrl clico paper Clips export and choose EXPORT ORDERS - on settings window that appears, I set the destination for the pliers and then make sure you check USE ITEM in/out...

  Now: How can I do the same thing on the Prime Minister?  Is this possible?

  Here's what I'd do:

  Implement all my clips in sequence a timeline with color correction on each. Right-click on each element of the sequence of Assembly, then choose the nest. 50 clips could take two minutes to do. Organization of close and open SOUL. Click on the button '+' and go to your project. Now select all 50 nested sequences, and click OK. In SOUL, select all sequences and then configure your desired export regime and output folder and click to start the export.

  It takes no more time than does your FCP workflow. It's just different. Embrace change and go with the flow, like a twig on the shoulders of a powerful jet.

  RTC if the exporter Clip utility will do. If this isn't the case, you must do it manually. You don't have to wait to complete to start another. Define a default setting and you can run through 40 clips in about a minute. X to make a selection. Cmd - E for the export preset. Come in. Down arrow for the next clip. Repeat steps.

  You cannot export the integrated H.264 video. If you try to put animations on top of some videos, do export you already, but it does not send through Adobe Media Encoder. There is also a checkbox to ignore the color of the scene and to generate an alpha channel. Do it too. You should end up with a MOV file that can sit on top of the original video, click, in After Effects or Premiere.

  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is really no way to do what you want to do.

  Here's why.

  You currently have 320 pixels and you want to show the 1920 pixels. This means that the software must do six pixels of a pixel that you provide. He basically has to duplicate them. He can do a little better with a mix, possibly using the current engine CC in Photoshop to do the job instead of Premiere Pro.

  Then, he must take 240 in 1080 and it's 4.5 pixels for everyone that provide you.

  Then you ask to play each image four times from 15 to 60.

  No offense, but you're asking to turn an ear of pigs in a silk purse.

  I go through my original video files and cut out the bad pieces and save individual short clips from that which I then use to build movies. Years, I would use VirtualDub for that because it was quick and easy. But operate with modern DSLR files is more of a hassle that I want to do. So I am using PrEl for this initial step as well. The problem is, I don't see any way to export only the clips ready without re-encoding them. It is not a deal huge as the re - encode additional does not appear to cause no visible degradation. Yet, however, it would be faster and cleaner to simply export the clips cut as is without re-encoding, as I did with VirtualDub. Only, I can't figure out how to get PrEl to do. Anyone know?

  Because this thread has meandered, I'll summarize the answer for anyone in the future who can search on it.

  • First elements cannot do the "smart edit" with this codec, although, according to Steve, he can with some as DV - AVI.
  • First Elements can make an uncompressed store, which is an option, although the compromise is uncompressed video is big enough. See this post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3791571#3791571
  • There are other programs out there that are able to make a 'smart edit"with h264. Some are mentioned in the thread, but I'm not going to list them in the abstract because I don't know how ok this is to post a link to other forum software. If it's important for you, Google them will turn upward.

  Changing preferences doesn't change the duration of still images alreadput in a project calendar.  What you can do is choose stills all affected in the timeline (click on it while pressing the command key) then clicking on information (little ' i' in a circle above Viewer), typing in the desired time and then pressing return.
