  I use JDev 11.1.1.2.0 and ADF 11 g.
  
  I provide an update screen where one field is a field of State. This is directly related to DB tbl as well.
  When col1 is null status = 'A '. Where col1 has the status of invalid value = 'R '. In both scenarios, I do need to update the status of 'B '.
  The problem is that I don't have to display this status column to the user value. So on click of the button on the screen 'save', I must capture the value in col1 is entered by the user and update the status field.
  
  How can this be achieved?

  You can do model level...

  1 generate a ViewRowImpl class with accessors for your VO
  2. call setStatus method in your method of setCol1.

  You can check the conditions he what is the value entered in a method

  I guess I have the status column in the Emp table and I want to change the value when someone changes the salary > 5000 then status will be Y

  If you want to keep the B as direct Type, you can:

  (1) tick Edit > preferences > General > use overview of limits;

  (2) to select the Type (B) with the selection tool (normal) and the effect > path > outline object.

  Which will reduce the Bounding Box to the real limits of the letters and keep the editable Type, so you can set the direct Type you like in function since its appearance.

  But if you need not described the text as a PDF, you will need to remove the effect:

  (3) with the selected direct Type, click reduce it to the basic appearance button in the appearance palette.

  Who's going back to normal Type Escarole.

  Obviously, you will need to uncheck the box use a snippet of the boundaries for other purposes, but you can just check that again when you need to edit (some of) the Type if necessary to keep in place. Maybe it's not necessary the changes will (for the most part and only if no letter is more than the vertical limits far) horizontally.

  I learned to use the clipping mask and its great... but some things that I cut out and there is more inside to cut... When I use the pen tool to describe the section I want to remove, then choose the clipping again mask, it removes the part of the image that I want to keep.

  If I (put) understand it, you can free the mask that you did, and then select the two/all paths for use Clipping Path (s) to the work and the underlying object > compound path > make, and then apply the (new) clipping mask.

  to make it quite clear, Lightroom can't sync between two desktop computers. It can synchronize between only one computer and one or more mobile devices. Synchronization between computers has been a very requested feature, but Adobe has not given us yet. You will need to designate one of your computers as your main machine mounting and synchronization here. There are tricks to get all changes from one computer to another in phase, but these are not negligible and may corrupt catalog if you're not careful.

  I'm struggling with something that I think should be very simple.

  I have a line, and I want to animate it with the "edge effect", because I want it to appear from the beginning to the end.

  To do this, I create a new solid with the size of the comp.; creating a new mask; and paste the path into the mask path so I can apply the line effect.

  The big problem is that when I paste the path in the mask, it just misaligned and out of scale (larger than the original path).

  How could I solve this problem?

  Stroke is applied to a mask not a trajectory. The path will be the size of the mask only when the layer is 100%.

  If you are talking just apply the edge effect to reveal a line drawn as a layer of shape or a line on another document, then you can create the mask path on top of the line on the same layer and apply related. and set to reveal original.

  If you do something else show us a screenshot of your publication with all the properties revealed for all layers. Just select all layers and press the u key twice.

  I designed a logo and it looks great when recording with a white background, but when I record with a transparent background, you can see the white line, I have through the logo. When I change the color of the line to transparent (that's what I really want while it will not match what there background is placed on), then it looks like I have no line here at all. I tried clipping masks, merge and intersect and several times by changing the colors. I hope that all the senses. I just can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I'm sure it's a pretty new thing but I really need help with this.

  You can simply select all and in the transparency palette flyout click with unchecked Clip opacity mask and mask invert checked.

  This works if the linehas a blow or stroke is described to have a rectangle.

  Or you can (if the line is dropped, select object > path > Outline Stroke to get a rectangle with a white fill, then) select all and Pathfinder > less before (window > Pathfinder palette).

  Quite WHY you would want to install Vista a dual boot, I can not understand, but certainly NOT system reserved Partition. You need to cut one of your other primary partitions, create a new partition in the space and install Vista.

  In fact you can even not able to do - in the usual way of creating a dual-boot Windows computer is to install the oldest operating system on the C drive followed by the most recent on a separate partition.

  I am able to do this in Illustrator, but I try to understand how to do this in InDesign.

  In InDesign - after I created a custom shape (clipping mask) with the pen tool I drop an image inside the shape (CMD + D).
  However, I would like to add other forms or images in this clipping mask and set the blending options. How does this in InDesign?

• How to do 1 object appears behind and in front of the different parts of a letter?

  Hi, I use Illustrator CC, there are 4 orange objects and the letter A in the image below. The blue arrow is at the point where I want the orange object appears in front of this part of the black letter A. The green arrow indicates where I want to be orange to stay behind this part of the letter was. Can anyone suggest how to do only the orange part (blue arrow) appear in front of the letter A, while maintaining the orange gradient? I tried to use the scissors tool to cut out the object in half and then re - organize, but this tool seems to 'reset' the gradient.

  

  Thank you all. I was struggling for a while with masks and then got the result desired with the Eraser tool. I duplicated the orange object, there in front of the letter and then use Eraser tool to remove unwanted orange object parts. It is the best way to remedy this situation, I think.

• How to extend video back from the beginning

  My video editor tells me that I need to have 2 seconds early and end 2 seconds do not talk and repeat basically the first or the last displayed image.  I have currently only about 1/2 a second so I need extend backward and before 2 seconds.

  It seems that I can simply grasp the handle at the end of the video to extend forward, but I can't figure out how to extend it back from the beginning. When I take the handle, I can ' drag it to the left.

  In addition, my video is essentially a timeline I have razor cut into about 10 modules.  each module is marked with markers on the timeline.  What is the best way to add the padding forward and the end of each module?  I started lasooing and by dragging the last video, move the marker, then second lasso at the last, move, etc.  Is their an easier way to do this?

  I think the answer to your prayers is insert the Segment to hold image command. First assign a keyboard shortcut to the command. The extent of the workflow, I'm only being familiar with the feature, but I think it goes something like this.

  1. Open the sequence
  2. Move the playback cursor at the beginning
  3. Insert the wedge Segment of image
  4. Move the playhead to the end
  5. Insert the wedge Segment of image
  6. Close ff. A, open B next, repeat 2 to 6...
