When I run my simultaneous program its taking too much time to complete, and two or three concurrent programs are running in parallel and to the same base table data

Are these concurrent programs custom or seeded? You're correctly concurrent managers? Please see these documents for more details.

    I am new to Oracle Apps, we I run my simultaneous program
    its taking too long to complete. How to find that there is a lock to produce in the table while that simultaneous execution of the program, another way to find why the simultaneous program takes too long to run and how can you speed up the process.

    Yesterday we made a few changes to speed up the process with our DBA to accelerate the simultaneous program

    The first simultaneous program takes 2 h 30 and after these changes taking 1 h 45. Please suggest it's okay

    Connected with the responsibility of the system administrator.

    Set the value of PROCESS like 15 (instead of 10).

    Set the value of SECONDS of SLEEP as 10 (Changed from 30).

    Manager - set - Manager2 Standard.

    Set the value of PROCESS like 15 (instead of 10).

    Set the value of SECONDS of SLEEP as 10 (Changed from 60).

    Any suggestion on how to find why it takes too much time.

    Hello

    I suggest you draw the simultaneous program and analyze the trace file. To do this, mark the simultaneous program as Trace enable (RESP system administrator, Menu simultaneous > program > define) and then run the program and download the trace file after dealing with tkprof. Check which are the staements who take most of the time and try to optimize them.

    It will be useful.

    Sorry, above is not possible. My bad,

    You can use below,

    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production

    I have a script to truncate the partition as below. Is there a table-level lock while truncating the parition? Any input is appreicated.

    ALTER TABLE TEMP_RESPONSE_TIME TRUNCATE PARTITION part1

    >
    Is there a table-level lock while truncating the parition?
    >
    No - it will lock the partition being truncated.

    Is there a global index on the table? If so they will be marked UNUSABLE and must be rebuilt.

    >
    Impact of surgery Maintenance of Partition on a Table partitioned local index
    Whenever a partition maintenance operation takes place, Oracle locks the partitions of the table concerned for any DML operation. Data in the affected partitions, except a FALL or a TRUNCATION operation, are always fully available for any operation selection. Given that clues them are logically coupled with the (data) table partitions, only the local index partitions affected table partitions must be kept as part of a partition maintenance operation, which allows the optimal treatment for the index maintenance.

    For example, when you move an old score a level of high-end storage at a level of low-cost storage, data and index are always available for SELECT operations. the maintenance of the necessary index is either update the existing index partition to reflect the new physical location of the data or, more commonly, relocation and reconstruction of the index to a level of storage partition low cost as well. If you delete an older partition once you have collected it, then its local index partitions deleted, allowing a fraction of second partition maintenance operation that affects only the data dictionary.

    Impact of surgery Maintenance of Partition on Global Indexes

    Whenever a global index is defined on a table partitioned or not partitioned, there is no correlation between a separate partition of table and index. Therefore, any partition maintenance operation affects all global indices or index partitions. As for the tables containing indexes, the affected partitions are locked to prevent the DML operations against the scores of the affected table. However, unlike the index for the local index maintenance, no matter what overall index remains fully available for DML operations and does not affect the launch of the OLTP system. On the conceptual and technical level, the index maintenance for the overall index for a partition maintenance operation is comparable to the index maintenance which would become necessary for a semantically identical DML operation.

    For example, it is semantically equivalent to the removal of documents from the old partition using the SQL DELETE statement to drop old partition. In both cases, all the deleted data set index entries must be removed to any global index as a maintenance operation of normal index that does not affect the availability of an index to SELECT and DML operations. In this scenario, a drop operation represents the optimal approach: data is deleted without the expense of a conventional DELETE operation and the indices are maintained in a non-intrusive way.

  • How to find the lock and kill session in order to release it?

    Hi all

    Ideally, you should check for locks on the table in question where records are trying to access.

    AFAIK, you must check the v$ locked_object and find sessions.

    Hope this helps!

  • How to find the child tables

    Hello

    y at - it (quesry) way to find the list of children tables for a given table.

    tried to interview user_constraints and USER_CONS_COLUMNS, but not be able to find a way.

    Thank you

    Hello

    You can use the query as follows - it will list the children tables and the FK name for table HR.JOBS:
    Select
    a.Owner, a.table_name, a.constraint_name
    sys.all_constraints a.,
    (select master, constraint_name from sys.all_constraints where owner = * 'HR' * and table_name = * "JOBS" * and constraint_type in ('P', 'U')) b
    where
    a.CONSTRAINT_TYPE = 'R' and a.r_constraint_name = b.constraint_name and a.r_owner = b.owner

    If you do not need name FK, then put separate:
    Select
    a.owner, separate a.table_name
    sys.all_constraints a.,
    (select master, constraint_name from sys.all_constraints where owner = 'HR' and table_name = 'JOBS' and constraint_type in ('P', 'U')) b
    where
    a.CONSTRAINT_TYPE = 'R' and a.r_constraint_name = b.constraint_name and a.r_owner = b.owner

  • How to find all the table names that has a particular data

    Hello
    How could I get the names of the tables in a database (for a diagram) which includes "KST6490" data in one of the fields in the table. There are a lot of tables with this
    data. Data type is Varchar2. Thank you.

    Is LIST_NO a VARCHAR2 column? The name would seem to imply that it is a number, but your search parameter is a VARCHAR2. Assuming that everything is a VARCHAR2

    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ' || i.table_name || ' WHERE list_no = ' || p_search
        INTO l_cnt;
    IF( l_cnt > 0 )
    THEN
      dbms_output.put_line( i.table_name );
    END IF;

    This requires that the call DBMS_OUTPUT. Put_line with the names of the tables is sufficient for your application - it is generally dubious whose functionality depends on the client application that is configured to read the buffer in that DBMS_OUTPUT writes the code. It also assumes that you have declared a local variable L_CNT to store the number returned by the query.

  • How to find - including the table - the data insertion

    Hi all

    We have oracle 10g need to table name which records the last "data inserted the name of the table.

    Any help on this query,

    Thank you

    My understanding is correct

    1 sales man Insert customer details

    2. this information is stored in a DB with 200 + tables

    3. sales manager need a report for review and approve the details of the customer entered by sales man.

    4. you are asked to prepare this report

    5. you have no idea of what are the paintings to study to get information

    If this is true the correct way is the look in the design of your application document.

  • OBIEE 11G - how to find automatically physical table using a report

    Hi all

    Is it possible to take a catalog of reports and retrieve the complete list of database tables that use these reports. Suppose I have a
    great list of reports may be 200 or more and I need to know what are the tables of these reports (analysis) are dependent on. Clearly, I could open an andextract the XML definition but I want to automate this process

    Best regards

    Benoit

    The XML definition does not have the physical database table - it doesn't even SQL logic.

    SQL logic is generated when executing of referral Services, which sends it to the BI server, which then decides what physical tables, it will hit. Even in this case, according to things like global navigation your report even likely face different DB tables depending on the State of the hierarchical columns etc.

    SampleApp includes some features that may be interesting for you - take a look at the dashboard page 10.21 physics of the Clause and see details on 10.11 (physical SQL Generator / physics of the Analyzer of the Clause).
