You probably wouldn't know if you've ever tried to prevent Firefox to auto-update... the methods have been proposed which include the addition of a hosts file or firewall update server name or another external locking mechanism. Maybe Firefox isn't able to determine why requests to this server fail if that is the problem.

  1. Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and upload it to the office.
  2. Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, etc., the customizations (don't tick the box).

  4. Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.

  I see your problem but do not see how you can get the information of just the EAR file as long as it is not put there by purpose. The required information is part of the jars that are installed on the servers. They are not part of the ear, but are only referenced.

  For the server side, I've written a web service that I install on each server (managed server that runs to the ADF, run time). This service at least tell me the version installed on the server.   There was a discussion on this forum and the ADFEMG google Group discuss how to know what the newer version (from sources of a project) was used to develop the App. Unfortunately, today you can't get a definitive answer to this.
