  I ran CHKDSK /R on Passport drive, and it passed.
  The USB is formatted to NTFS, if that's relevant.

  When I accessed the system utility checks the C drive, he had me to restart the computer and the drive for errors on a reboot of audit, but which did not find any problem.   I guess I need to start from a CD instead of starting from the hard disk, in order to be able to run the "CHKDSK/r" on the C: drive as well as two other partitions.

  Am I missing something?  Should I use the "boot CD" we created, boot in the BACK and then do the CHKDSK /R on the C drive?

  (I'm really uncomfortable about messing around with C drive until I have a backup, but because of a possible problem on the C drive, I can't do the backup... or is there something else I need to do next?)

  This afternoon I contacted support for Microsoft Windows and had a "chat" with one of the support technicians.  He told me to START to > ACCESSORIES > COMMAND PROMPT that I clicked on and does: "run as administrator.

  I then entered: chkdsk /f /r so that I was in a directory on the C drive.

  (I'm guessing / r means read all the information and the /f to fix any problems that are found).

  The computer has restarted and began a long inspection of the C drive, taking about two or three hours or more.   Meanwhile, he finds two clusters defective and added to the table 'bad cluster.  I took a picture of the screen, so I don't know what file he has identified as having problems.

  The process is complete, the computer restarts, and I was able to make the "system image" backup without any problem.

  Thanks for your help.  Between you and other colleagues at Microsoft, not only, I know what it takes the next time, I have a better understanding of what is happening.  (How to mark this discussion as "resolved"?)

  It is difficult to provide accurate information without having seen the image, but perhaps this approach may be useful. I guess the arm that you placed in the picture is on its own layer. On the basis that you may:

  1. use the Eyedropper to sample a skin fits the image tone.

  2. then choose the arm layer and click on the lock transparent Pixels symbol in the layers panel.

  3. then edit > fill > set ForeColor to its blend mode to color.

  4. you can use levels or curves to change the level of the color tone.

  If change brightness or darkness of the arm using levels or curves changes the color, so, spend in Lab Color Mode and use levels or curves on the lightness channel (L). The beauty of the colors Lab, is that it allows you to change the tone level without altering the color. Then switch to RGB.

  I want to correct skin tone change it in good quality headshot.  I always change, but cannot fix the skin tone. I'm Brown, but the image that it makes my skin very clear and white.   There are several ways to do so. Here is one.

  The drill is to change the tone of the whole image with an adjustment layer, and then mask the effect where we do not want.

  Try this:

  1. Open image file
  2. Open a levels adjustment layer to increase the contrast - use the sliders on the left and middle under the histogram.
  3. Open a layer empty at the top, and then press CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + E to create a visible layer of timbre. It is a layer that combines all the layers underneath.
  4. Open an adjustment layer Photo filters. In the dialog box, select warming 85 @ 83% density filter, uncheck "keep the brightness.
  5. The entire image turns tan, not to worry. Left click on the mask (the white rectangle), then paint with a black brush about 15% opacity on the face (since it's now too dark) and on the shirt. If you go too far, correct the effect of mask with a white brush
  6. Open an empty layer on top. then press CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + E to create another visible layer of timbre. Improve slightly the sharpness with sharpness on this layer, and in addition, sharpen eyes and lips from time to time with the sharpening tool.

  Trash this stage and re - register. It could be that new file dialog tries to assign a document profile that is damaged or is no longer present on your system. If this does not work, reset the Photoshop preferences. Press ctrl + alt + shift at the launch, confirm with the dialog box that appears if you did it correctly.

  Make sure to save all your other actions, brushes and so on first!

  Maybe the opacity for the comments of text setting is set to a value lower than 100%... The problem is that there is no way to change it except by using a script.

  Here's how you can do it. After you have created your comment, click on it with the mouse and press Ctrl + J to open the JS Console window.

  In the lower part of the window clear the text that is there and enter this instead and then press Ctrl + Enter:

  this.selectedAnnots [0] .opacity = 1;

  This should change the level of opacity for the comment selected 100%.

  If it works then right click on the comment, go to properties and then click on the 'Make default properties' box and click OK.

  It should now be fixed for any comment that you create.
