How to go from result of step of TS engine at the operator Interface?

Hi, dear ALL

I am a newbie in TestStand and I have a problem... A lot of documentation and manuals, but there is no clear answer = (could you please help me.

Suppose we have a sequence with a step of success/failure. Now, I want to use my own operator instead of the sequence editor Interface to run my sequence. To the best of my knowledge, the TS engine will update Step.Result.Status property. I want to get this status and use it in my IO. How the engine works TS transfer the result of the step to the IO (or the sequence editor)? I read on user interface messages. TS engine automatically sends a special Message from UI?

Thanks in advance,

Max

Thanks in advance,

Max

No, there are no special UI for this Message.

What you can do is to define your own customized for that user interface Message. Take a look on the TestStand reference manual page 3-15. You will find an array of components of step ordered by the execution. You can see that action no. 17 is the execution of the expression of the State. From that moment, the step should have its result. Therefore, you can use the step callback after engine (action no. 18) to send your Message to the custom user interface.  Another possible recall would be the recall of motor PostResultListEntry (action no. 32), which is the last point to transfer information.

Regardless of the above info: why don't you use the SequenceView element and simply expel everything except the name of the step and the result column?

hope this helps,

Norbert

My computer messed up and I have to do this restore complete.

It was purchased before 2006 so the hp support info on how to do a system restore / destructive restore will not work on this device.  The option of regular restore point does not go far enough.  Function keys are not appropriate options (no F11 key or just Bios or simply boot into 'safe' windows etc.).  There is no partition drive.   Help & Support is not 'tools '.

When I went to a site to buy the restore disks, they said all I had were the 2 I have: Windows XP home SP2 and pilots of the disks.

I need the steps to install from these disks (assuming that I am on the right track).  Thank you.

You should just to power upward with the XP cd in the drive. When you see the prompt type any key to boot from cd... Press the Enter key. • How to proceed from here, now that I've learned about the .html extension.

I was happy to Muse for quite awhile. Really excited. The ability to drag and drop and organize the way I thought I would is mind blowing for me. Today, for the first time, I used ftp to download a page of space only to be horrified seeing that this tag with the .html extension. WHAT? What is Frontpage? With the appearance of extension .html as you just woke up since 2002. Look, I don't mind be ignorant or learn from my mistakes, then someone let me know where I am wrong here, but I'm the only one who has a problem with that?

I saw that there is a work around if you are using Business Catalyst, but what if I'm with Hostgator?

I'm really just stuck in front of my computer, wondering where to go from here. That's how much I hate the .html extension. I finally have the opportunity to design because I thought, and yet the first impression will be that of the .html? People are going to have to make a link to www.mysite.com.html? SMH. How do you make an art/luxury with this extension of the site and be taken seriously?

Web servers use the extensions of the files placed on the server to deduct their content type for example Web page, stylesheet, script, image, video, audio, etc. and send these type information content for browsers with these files so that browsers can consume/rendering these files correctly for the site visitor.

Long story short, if Muse publishes pages without the extensions, the chances are that most of the world would not be able to see these pages correctly in a browser.

That said, most web servers offer configurations that allow them to associate * extension-less * URL request to related files (with extension) on server (eg). Business Catalyst). However, this technique requires support and configuration side server - which is not controlled by Muse.

Your message was clearly not your comments to Microsoft Answers web site, so I moved it on the Feedback forum to "Install, upgrade and activate" windows forum.  Please return to your message, click the button change under it, change the menu Windows Version dropdown to indicate which version of Windows you are using, and then click on submit.  People can help better if they do not have to guess your version of Windows.

Your best bet is to reinstall WIndows from scratch using the original Windows installation kit or factory restore disks supplied with the PC when your purchased people.  If she did come with a restore or the Windows installation disk drive, it came with a partition on the hard drive and the software to allow you to create the restore disks yourself.  Which will ensure that none of their remains.

If you want to share data or peripherals between two PCs, you will need a LAN.  If you have internet access, then you already have a local area network.  Your ADSL access may or may not have a router provided with the equipment to access, but if it isn't you can easily add a.  The Knowledgebase Microsoft have some tutorials that describe how to configure a network home.

  • How do I upgrade to Windows 7 Pro without reinstalling the operating system?

I have a client who is moving from a workgroup to a domain based network.  About half of the computers are Windows 7 Home edition.  I need to upgrade to Pro so I can join the domain.  I was not able to find an easy way to do it since Anytime Upgrade no longer works on Windows 7.  The only time I did, I had to by a free license key and ended up having to completely reinstall the operating system.  So, how can I switch to Win 7 Pro without reinstallation of the operating system or go to Windows 8.

Unfortunately, your only option now would be to buy a full version or upgrade to Windows 7 professional retail license and use the product key with the Express Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Wizard. It is, it's expensive:

Where can I still get Windows 7?

    Full version-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional

    Version upgrade-

    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional upgrade

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

    Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade fails:

If your getting the following: error: Windows Anytime Upgrade failed
This problem may occur if Windows 7 SP1 was downloaded by Windows Update, but has not yet been installed.
    See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2660811

= Other reasons and possible corrections.

Windows Anytime Upgrade fails with the error:
"every time that the upgrade has failed. Go online to solve the problem.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2658652

If Anytime Upgrade still does not work:

Shut down and restart your computer.

Make sure that the Windows updates have been installed.

Download the hotfix that contains a tool called CheckSUR, this tool will look at the package and the maintenance of records and difficulty any data corrupted, the tool is listed under kb947821 he can be found at the following link http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=947821

If Anytime Upgrade still does not work, turn off the user account control:

    1. go in user accounts in Control Panel

2 change user account control settings

    3. pull the slider to the level as low as possible

    4. restart the PC

    5. pass by the "Anytime Upgrade" as usual

    Try the following:

1 disable any security software before attempting to upgrade

    2. make sure that your computer is updated (devices and applications)

    3. disconnect all external devices before installing.

    4. check your hard disk for errors:

    Click Start

Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

    Click on "Run as Administrator"

At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

Also run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-7/Upgrade-Advisor.aspx

Who should I contact if I have problems installing and / or activation of my product key card?

    Please contact to the: www.windows7.com/getkeysupport.

If all above fails them, install Windows 7 Service Pack 1, and then try the Express Upgrade:

Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/learn-how-to-install-Windows-7-Service-Pack-1-SP1

If your key is not valid and you will need to change the keys, you may need to Open regedit and remove first the ProductKey value in the following registry key:

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsAnytimeUpgrade

  • Logging of additional results of step before reminder

In my sequence, the recall of SequenceFilePreStep checks if a step is a test step (e.g. NumericLimitTest). If this is the case, a value of temperature of an overall picture must be kept at additional step results. Let's say the array of temperature index is just zero here. I use the following statement then.

    RunState.CallingStep.AdditionalResults.CustomResults.Insert("FileGlobals.Temperature[0]",FileGlobals.Temperature[0],"",PropFlags_IncludeInReport,-1)

The problem is that the name of the variable is evaluated as a number, which is the same as the value of the temperature. (See the image attached) But it's not even me to use an arbitrary name as "Temp". [He forces me to use the "FileGlobals.Temperature [0 '] under the name of the variable. Otherwise, I get an error. How can I assign a variable name in the additional results I want?

Is another question, is it possible to check if there is a variable with a name to additional results lag, using expressions? Basically, I want to replace an old value of temperature in complementary with a new value results whenever a loop iterates.

    Any input will be appreciated.

    pomirobotics,

In fact, the result name is an expression rather than just a string (you can see in the section additional results of stage settings and looking at the Visual editor for additional results entries). Therefore, you must include a different set of quotes in your expression to name. Here is an example:

    RunState.Step.AdditionalResults.CustomResults.Insert("\"ResultName\"","Locals.MyNumber","",PropFlags_IncludeInReport,-1)

Backslashes are outside the game internal citations so that they are interpreted correctly when the expression is executed.

    I hope that helps!

  • How to inherit from Actor.lvclass?

    Hi all

I'm playing with the framework of the actor. After reviewing the sample cooler evaporative project, I want to make an absolute minimum example from scratch. I want to open a blank project, manually add a few classes, make them inherit from Actor.lvclass so on (for example not start since the draft framework for actor model).

The first problem I encountered (and not yet resolved) is How to inherit from the Actor.lvclass?.

Time evaporation cooler project (ECEP) example and the project of the actor model framework (AFPT) have some classes already inheriting from Actor.lvclass new classes will have this option of legacy. ECEP and AFPT have also vi.lib-> Framework.lvlib actor in their dependencies.

But how actor Framework.lvlib in my dependencies? I can't just drag C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\vi.lib\ActorFramework\Actor Framework.lvlib with dependencies in my Project Explorer.

However, I can drag C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\vi.lib\ActorFramework\Actor Framework.lvlib in my Project Explorer (like adding a VI to the project). This gives me the ability to inherit from Actor.lvclass and if I remove actor Framework.lvlib in my project again (after a class inherit) it will be listed under dependencies. But I hope that there is a way to better / cleaner to him.

I wish it works when I move the project to another computer with a different labview installation path. My approach above will ensure that Framework.lvlib of the actor is still loaded in the subfolder vi.lib or is it now "hardcoded" aware of my installation path?

    Best regards
    Jonas CJ

You should read some documents and tutorials on LVOOP, because it is the mechanism that is used. In this case, you must have the responsible actor in the project, so the simplest is the frame screws fall into a vacuum of VI, then go into your properties of the class, go to the legacy page and click the button change. The tree shows you the class loaded into the project, that's why you need the first step for the first class. After that, the class is already loaded, because the other your class inherits from this one, you don't need something it explicit the call.

With respect to the path, vi.lib is a logical path, so it does not work properly when moving between computers and versions of LV.

  • How to move from Windows XP to Windows 7?

    WINDOWS

I need to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7.   How can I do this?

Please give instructions on how to do it.

Step by step instructions in the following article:

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/13/WinXP-to-Win7/

    The upgrade to Windows XP?

Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.

2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.

    3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.

If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services.
