How to import a photo out "greyed"?

I have a jpeg file on my desktop I want to import into Lightroom, but the picture is grayed out in the import view.  How to import a photo greyed out?

The normal cause of this problem is that the photo has already been imported in Lightroom, so you can't import a second time.

So, instead of trying to import this picture, you should seek in the module library, by file name. First of all, make sure that you have selected "All photos", and you have disabled all of the filters (once or twice Ctrl/Cmd-L) and then perform a search.

  • How to import a photo online unique genealogy program?

I have already imported unique photos in a genealogy online program by dragging from iPhoto. However, when I drag an image from Photos, I get "there is no file to import" the program online. How can I do this - I don't think that this program has an "address" that can send images to. Find me the pictures a very disappointing 'upgrade '.

Use the media browser - in the download/tie/open window in the lower left corner under Support == > photos = > photos - this was the best way to do it from iPhoto ' 08 - about 8 years ago

  • How to import in Photos pictures from my camera?

I can't navigate my way through the interface to import photos from my camera or my iPhone in the Photos app.  I could find my way to control selection and the import command, but then the program asked me where I wanted to place the photos.  I saw a box that looked a little like what you see in the Finder.  I couldn't find 'Photos' anywhere in the list of choices.  What should I choose my destination for the photos I want to import?

You cannot import into Photos except using pictures to import - plug in the unit and in the Photos to import (menu, file == > import)

  • How to import my photos form my computer to a usb.divice to save

Hi I need halp to import my pictures from my computer to a usb device to record as a back up to the top... I'm new with computers... just starting to learn the basic... plez. help me with step by step to do this... Thank you

Here's a video showing you how:

    http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=krfRUw9xTJc

Or, you can simply plug the usb key, then open my computer and find the photos you want to have backed up and select them and right-click and choose "copy". Then you can browse your USB drive inside my computer and paste them on the USB... it is a backup.

  • Adobe/Apple you have a solution like how to import the Photos App library in Lightroom?

I had the idea of moving off iPhotos unfotunate to the new application Photos. Later, I decided to migrate to LR6. But there is no way that I was able to migrate my library by keeping the organization I did in iPhotos/Photos and albums... Arrival in any solution for this?

I don't have a Mac, and can just Google to find answers to your question, but the last item in the following article seems reasonably simple and involved with the importation of iPhotos plugin I think is built in LR, but change the location from where to import from.  I have no idea if it keeps albums intact or if he'll just give you a big file of all your photos, perhaps grouped by year or some other big division.

  • How to import RAW photos in El Capitan

OS X El capitan 10.11 says that he has supported level system for RAW photos, including my camera, a Canon 60 d. When I import I do not see any photos RAW, only JPG Photo Version 1.3 (350.23.0)

    Digital camera RAW 6.18 (828)

Digital Camera Support RAW 6180 (204)

If you shoot JPEG and RAW (something that I can see no sense at all since it wastes a lot of space for no advantage) pictures battery both displaying the JPEG by default - if you want the RAW format, then in the menu image select editing mode use RAW as the original

  • How to import new photos in a recorded book.

I think I chose the wrong option, when I saved a book, I clicked on save only the photos used, I can't add more pictures. I think that I would have saved a virtual copy. What I have to do it again?

    No, it's OK.

Now go back to the library and drag photos from the book as if you add photos to a collection. As a tip, do a right-click the book and set it to the target collection. You can then press the B button to add photos. Once you have finished, click on the book, the s icon and return to the book.

  • Cannot find out how to import photos

I was watching YouTube videos but also read the tutorials and I can't figure out how to import a single photo.

This is what my screen looks like at- http://i.imgur.com/kODcL9t.jpg

Everything I watch or read, it seems that I need to click on import > select a folder containing image files > and then I'll see thumbnails contained in this folder.  But no matter what folder I selected, though there are JPEGs, RAW files, anything, there are no previews and the import button is grayed out.

Activating/Deactivating the subfolders box does not help.  HARD drive is running.

I'm probably just something wrong.  :/

Maybe you can say?  Lightroom - YouTube

EDIT: I deleted my preferences file and that seemed to fix it.  No idea what was wrong.  If anyone else needs it, it's at: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 5 Preferences.agprefs
