How to import an MPEG movie in iMovie?
How to import an MPEG movie in iMovie? (also AVI). It seems that only type Quicktime movies are available in my list of old files to be imported and open in iMovie.
I'm using an iMac with OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 version and iMovie version 10.1.2.
MPEG files come in different flavors. If these files are old as you have indicated, I guess they are MPEG 1. In this case, you can convert Quicktime using MPEG Streamclip 5 squares. It's free. If you are referring to a DVD video which is mpg2 while you can use Handbrake to convert. MP4 should import ok in iMovie. It will also convert your AVI files and also streamclip!

How to import a quicktime movie?
Hello
I think that it is a super simple question, how to import a QuickTime on my page? I assume that you will insert > media >? not sure what comes after? This is the wave of shock, applet, active x or plugin?
Thank you
Beth HThere is not a default behavior to insert for this built into Dreamweaver, but one
quick search on Exchange show that there is an extension to do this,
Although I have not used. Do a search for "quicktime" here:Make sure that you set the drop program Dreamweaver in order to minimize the number
great success. Should be the second one on the list: "insert a QuickTime Movie
V1.0.1. "I hope it works for you. There is some additional information on the
extension on the details page that you might want to look to make sure
everything works fine.Best regards

How to import .dv images captured using iMovie on a PC
Hello!
I'm having a problem with Premiere Pro CS4 (Production Premium) on my PC.
I need to import video, one of my friends caught on his his camcorder Mac using iMovie.
Files are in format .dv, but apparently first cannot import them and an error message appears while trying to tell "Format file not supported".
Is there a plug-in, a codec or something I can use to import the images?
Thank you very much in advance,
Chris
Codec: DV/DVC
Name: DV (IEC 61834)
Status: Codec status undetermined
Thanks for the info. As test, rename the file to. AVI and see if it matters in PrPro.
Don't know what are the differences between the DV CODEC of MS and even on a Mac. Without some extra "stuff", I don't think that Mac can handle. AVI files natively, so there could be some major differences.
Now, the "CODEC status undetermined" is disturbing. I think that if the file was created with MS DV CODEC, or very similar, G-Spot would be able to determine which and would then find the MS DV CODEC installed on your machine.
Now, I often use files generated by Mac in PrPro. I have artists as well as export. MOV, using the Animation CODEC on the Mac. They are looking for files and play and edit very well. Your friend can export from iMovie as. MOV [Animation], or re - capture and you get the files. Form CODEC MOV [Animation]? That would save having to buy anything and should work just fine, just like they do on my machine.
Good luck

How to import MPEG-4 files in Windows Movie Maker in Windows Vista?
Windows Media Player 11 recognizes and plays MPEG-4 great but WMM does not recognize them. I would like to import some MPEG-4 files in Movie Maker and work with them - is there a codec or something that allows this?
I'm sure I can find a software to convert to MP4 format that mm will recognize, but if possible, I would just skip the conversion step and work with MP4 directly in MM.
Thank you!

How to import the old iMovie library
Searched the Internet but nothing helped.
I finally decided to use the new iMovie app (version 10? 2013 version? is the one with the purple icon). I have been using the old version of iMovie all this time. How to import my old library iMovie and projects in the news? What I found on the internet that says that when I start to iMovie for the first time, it is supposed to prompt me to do it, but it's not.
Hold down the Alt/option key at startup to iMovie, so that it points to the library. After iMovie will remember.

How to remove "My movie" screen iMovie
Have created a movie in iMovie for the first time. On the first stage, there are 'My Movie', written on the lower left corner of the image. How can I remove this?
Using iMovie version 10.0.6, with Yosemite.
Thank you!
If you have selected a theme for your movie, it will automatically have a title on the first clip and other automatic content.
If you try to delete the title added to the film strip, you'll see a prompt to disable automatic content. Just click the button to turn it off.

How to import Photos album of iMovie.
I used to be able to import a photo album in iMovie. I would like to edit my pictures, put in order in an album and then imported into iMovie. It was working fine! He kept the order too. Something has changed with the how they upgraded to the Photos and the new iMovie. Now that the easy process seems to be broken. Mac is known for that market. What has happened and is there a work around? So far, it seems to export to office and importation, losing all the work to order the photos in the photos app. (I already tried to see how it works) I make the slide show of the graduation for the entry into force of the elders in our school. Moving images is not as easy to iMovie, make sure you can see the images and keep photos of student spread so a student does not seem too much time together is easy in Photos. Will this change?
Correction: The first sentence should be - I used to be able to import an iPhoto album in iMovie. I don't think that I was able to import the Photos app.

Right click on the driver and select uninstall
Restart the computer
Windows will reinstall the drivers

Drone on a laptop video editing... move from iMovie to 13 items
Hi all
Starting full here. I was shooting aerial footage with a drone and edit the result with iMovie on a Macbook Air. I need to move to a regular Dell laptop now and I'm terribly need some professional advice.
The video I shoot was 1080 p, 50 frames per second (don't ask why 50 frames per second, it just sounded better at the time). The drone can shoot 4K, but when I tried to watch or edit that, it was awful. It was the first time I realized the shooting in 4K sounds nice but that devil can look and even less change 4K? Most records that I shoot end up on Youtube anyway.
Getting back to my question, files .mov went well in iMovie and the recorded files came out pretty good. For the most part stored in files of smaller size. As I would like to make about 10 Gig of sequences, cut, edit, up to 2-3 gig and iMovie may save it as a smaller file, as 3-400 MB, which can be downloaded on youtube in "HD". Perfect for a non professional like me.
Now, I'm on a Dell laptop with items 13.1 (under Windows 7). I was eager to start with items up to what I imported the first .mov. It looked horrible and played back horrible, rough, jerky, etc. Impossible to edit. Raw image plays perfectly in VLC Player on this laptop by the way.
My laptop is the Intel Core processor i3 M350 @ 2.27 GHz, 6 GB of RAM. And a nice display. No idea on the video card or if she has any.
Now my question is how would you? What would you do with the files so thay can be modified in the elements?
Appreciate very much all the advice (other than get some better gear).
Have a good day people.
fabioa
Thanks for the follow-up.
Please consult the configuration menu of the drone to determine if you are really set for a 'up to 60 progressive frames per second"or if you really put to a fixed progressive images of 59.94/60 per second.
For me, I've been base my decision on the variable with respect to a constant rate in the original by putting the original through MediaInfo and inspect the frequency of video images of the file properties. If the variable rate, the file rate generally 3 frames - minimal cadence, cadence and maximum frame rate.
If you are not facing a variable situation, Handbrake may be offering a different variation in the video codec and the way it is wrapped with the .mp4 file extension.
Go ahead, you could periodically test drone records to determine if there is no variation in batch to record raw performance in Premiere Elements projects.
Ultimately, the handbrake cross at the constant rate may be the solution that can be manageable on a batch record of Handbrake set after making settings for handbrake on a per-video basis.
