  If you have a Pop email account, it can only e-mail access and download from the server Inbox.

  Thank you for that. There seems to be a variety of commercial tools out there, and some that seems doubtful. In any case, I managed to resurrect an old machine with office, installed Thunderbird 31.8 on it and successfully made the import. I then had a bit of work to do to find the correct profile files, the installation creates a profile directory in AppData/Local/Thunderbird as well as in AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird. Roaming profiles is the device. I copied the contents of the Profile / xxxxxx.default on the machine of relief to the Profile / yyyyy.default on the new installation, replacement of existing items, and voila, everything is good. Now to upgrade to the latest version of Thunderbird.

  Just for interest, what is the function of the premises/Thunderbird/profile files?

• How to import emails in windows 8

  I've recently upgraded to win 8 pro, I was using Windows Mail, how to import my messages? they are available in

  C:\Windows.old\Users\Mail \Local Settings\Microsoft\Windows

  they are all in eml file format.

  I use now the default mail icon and that you have set up the account as IMAP instead of POP3

  It doesn't seem to be a way documented to do so at the moment.  You can use my free ceml program to view the eml (www.oehelp.com/ceml/) files.

  "In Thunderbird, go to tools | ImportExport | Import all messages from a directory. Also to its subdirectories. »

  Under Tools, there is import, but no footage. When the import option is selected, it does not allow a directory location, only what to import (Eveything, Mail, Contacts, etc.). When choose "Import all" and pressing 'Next' nothing is on the list to import. The button 'Next' does nothing and the Cancel button cancels the entire import.

  Can you explain (or point to an article accurate and up-to-date on) how to import all messages (including local mailboxes and the structures of files kept intact).

  Can I use copy and paste all the .eml files du'a' account in Windows Mail in the 'A' account in Windows Live Mail, and if so, how?

  You left some important information. Windows 7 doesn't have an e-mail program that is "embedded" as in earlier versions of Windows, then you will need to decide what e-mail program you use.

  It seems that iMovie did not create a valid MP4 file. If you have InDesign CS6, you should also have installed Adobe Media Encoder in your Applications folder.
