  I have an Officejet Pro 8500 a HP all-in-one.  My computer operating system is windows Vista home and the printer is connected wireless to my home network.  I want to know how to send a fax received from the printer directly to the computer without having to print on paper first.  Occasionally, my printer working ink or for any other reason, I'm not going to want to print a paper copy of a received fax.  I may still need to read the fax.  I wish I could print the faxes in my computer so I can read and print the latter if necessary.   Ah, I finally found!  It's an option under HP digital fax on the control panel of the product.  Thus, for some reason, the process with my printer was very complicated:

  1. I tried to configure digital facsimile from the control panel of the product.  He ordered me to use the software on the computer that comes with the printer; as well;

  2. I tried this software.  But the software I had installed my printer do not have an option for digital Fax, so;

  3. I went to the product HP digital fax option control panel that directed me to the built-in web server, therefore;

  4. I opened the built-in web server. But although this software has options for HP digital fax it doesn't have an option to stop printing paper, so;

  5. I had to go back to the product digital HP Fax option control panel and find the option to disable fax print it!

  Of course, at almost every step along the way that I should try to set up the printer, and then understand why it didn't work the way I wanted to and then go on the support forum, read page after page of messages, return to the printer, try various "solutions" online, then go back to forums, etc, etc. etc.  It seems that HP could do a much better job in the design of its product interface software so that customers did not have to spend as much time find answers to simple questions.

  What is the best way to send the same fax to several unique recipients without having to send the fax manually to each recipient?  I use an Office Jet Pro 8600.  My previous HP (M2727MFP) allowed Ad Hoc manual fax but the same process does not work on the 8600.

  If you have the software installed on your computer, you should have the 8600 Fax Driver installed. That will allow you to send to multiple recipients without having to print a physical page. Everything you have to do is the printer using the program on the fax driver, and it will appear a window asking for the numbers you want to send the fax to. The document linked below will on other ways that you can fax without using the software. I think that the Fax issue will be what you are looking for. The document will explain more.   Hi, the latest software for your printer provided by means of call Software Update, try to update the software by following these steps:

  Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
  Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

  Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

  If no HP update are available, manually install the package below:

  Once the latest drivers were Installer go to System Preferences > printers & Scanner and click the sign plus sign to add to the fax printer queue (it can take 30 to 40 seconds for the additional fax queue appear in the list of printers you)

  Finally, you can scan using Capture of Image after completing these updates, so you can install and use the HP Easy Scan scanning application:

  In order to run on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 fax configuration you can do this in two places; The front panel of the printer Menu, select Setup > Menu Fax > fax configuration wizard.   I don't think that you can install Windows 7 with Boot Camp on El Capitan:

  • A Microsoft Windows installation media or disc image (ISO) containing a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 8 or later *.

  Windows 10 is simply too new for your Mac, and Windows 7 is too old. It is quite a difficult situation. If you really need Windows, you would need to get a copy of Windows 8, or put to level to an earlier version of Mac OS X with a version of Boot Camp that works in Windows 7.
