Hi Thierry,.

Thanks for choosing Windows 8. I'll certainly try and help you install the printer.

1. However before we start, could you give us some more information?

2. have you tried to install the printer driver?

3. you get error messages/codes when installing the printer?

You can go through the article and check if it helps. Here is another article on the installation of printers.

If the problem persists you may contact the manufacturer for any updated drivers or known issues.

Hope this helps and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

  • How to install PES 10 and end upward with the 64-bit version?

I just installed 10 PSE on my Win 7 64 bit system.  Reading these forums, I understand that the disc 2 of the 3 disc set contains the 64-bit version.  But aid installation referenced (and the disc itself labelling) clearly says 'start with disk 1' in both cases.  So I did this, expecting at some point to be invited to switch to disk 2.  But I've never been.  The default installation location is Program Files (x 86), I belatedly realize is the wrong file.  So I guess I have to uninstall and reinstall.

But what is the right way to get the 64 bit version?  Manually change the installation Program Files x 86 w/o location?  Launch disk 2 anyway, despite what says Adobe?  I haven't yet started 10 PSE... is better to uninstall it now, or start 10 PSE and ensure that the new catalogue etc gets put in place?

(I have a similar ad more in the forum download and installation, but find that I get a lot more quick answers here.)

PSE10 is not a 64 bit application, only PE10 (Premiere Elements), I think. If your installation is correct. I'm sure that you will get more specific answers by more knowledgeable people...

    a. What do you mean by Windows 10? Microsoft Office 2010?

If your operating system is Windows 7, to read:

    Method 1:

There is currently no information on scanner Epson Perfection 1200U on Windows 7 Compatibility Web site .

It seems that is not compatibile with Windows 7 (right of Epson). Click here to check.

However, if you are referring to scanner Epson Perfection 1200 , you can download the drivers from here for Windows 7.

  • How to install printer Epson LX-300 +? Not Competible

How to install printer Epson LX-300 +? Not Competible

    Please your driver

    Huh?

I assume you are asking how you can install the Epson LX-300 + printer on a Windows 7 system?

This printer is * old *-really old.

The web page on the Epson support site lists only the drivers until Windows XP.  Their "Windows 7 compatibility table" (Epson) asserts that there is a "driver built-in Windows 7" for her. which means that many drivers are supplied with Windows 7. Just connect your Epson product to your Windows 7 computer and follow the on-screen instructions. If there is a built-in Windows 7 and a download from Epson.com method, choose the download method.

Going over there as well as the report of the Compatibility Center of Microsoft Windows 7 on the LX-300 (32-bit and 64-bit) - it seems that you should just be able to access your machine with the machine and printer on the printer and the driver should load automatically.

Unfortunately - I found that some hardware does not work just as ITI should - sometimes you should probably just 'let go '.  Is there a reason you need this particular (sold a dozen years) printer any longer?

    Installation - 'upgrade' means what?
Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Get more information on the software updates and best practices .

Installation - what does "Custom (Clean)" Mean?
A custom (clean) installation clears the contents of the hard drive of your PC. Your files, settings, and programs will not be transferred to Windows 7. This means that to install Windows 7, you must:

    • Back up any files and settings you want to keep

    • Install Windows 7

    • Reinstall all your files

    • Reinstall all the programs you want to use.

These four steps take time, skills, techniques and Windows Easy Transfer can help. However, if you are not comfortable with this process, please consider having the installation carried out by a local service provider.

  • How to make a 16-bit application with a 64-bit version of windows 8?

I'm trying to learn the z80 assembler programming language and to set up a program, I use a program called devpac8x.  the guide had me create a file of commands of windows so that when the appropriate command is entered in the command prompt (asm Hello) then it runs the program through TASM and such devpac8x so that it assembles and converted from a .z80 file in a file of .8xp so it can be read by the ti-84 + calculator will be sent to.  I can't use devpac8x because it is a 16-bit application, while I have a 64 bit OS.  How can I get this program to run, or is there another program that works, and if so how would edit the batch file for this?

    Hi Tim,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help you.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the 16-bit program on 64-bit Windows operating system. In order to run a 16-bit program or a program 32-bit that uses 16-bit processes or 16-bit components, you must install the program on a 32-bit version of Windows.

You can install the 16-bit programs only under 32-bit Windows 8.

8 32-bit Windows comes with a built-in option to enable or disable 16-bit application support. This new applet allows you to enable or disable support for 16-bit applications in Windows 8.

When you open the applet in the Control Panel, Windows displays a dialog box to enable or disable 16-bit application support. Just click on the Activate button and you will be able to take advantage of 16-bit applications in Windows 8.

If you do not enable the option using the Control Panel, Windows 8 automatically ask you to activate the option, whenever you try to run a 16-bit application.

If you have questions/suggestions more associated with Windows, feel free to post.

    Thank you.

  • How to install VM Workstation v7.1.1 as pure 64-bit 32-bit HOST HOST

    Hello all-

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.  I've been using VM Workstation since v3 and still use it today.  My host is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with 4 GB memory and 2 TB of storage.  I also have two video cards.  I run VM Workstation 7.1.1 with no problems but noted that it continues to be installed in the Program Files (x 86) directory my HOST whenever I applied updates, etc..  I always had the impression that this folder, Program Files (x 86) in Windows 7 64-bit is used to install 32-bit applications.  VM Workstation v7.1.1 is supposed to be good for the 32-bit and 64-bit HOSTS.  My Question: How to install VM Workstation v7.1.1 as application HOST 64-bit on my machine?  I think that it is running as a 32-bit application, and I would have run as a 64-bit application.  You can provide any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Documentation of the user don't give not any what resolution to this issue.  It does not address the installation on the HOST computer, and how to specify an installation pure 64 bit.  An additional side note: My GUEST machines all work in 64-bit with no problems of any kind.  I am running Windows 7, Linux RH Enterprise, Centos 5.3 and Fedora 13.  All are in 64-bit mode and ideal.  VM Workstation is an excellent product!

Again, thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question.

Workstation for Windows 64 is a hybrid or however you would call it.

MISTLETOE is a 32-bit application while the engine that actually will the VMs is 64-bit.

That's why find you it in the default path of the 32-bit application.

Check with the Task Manager when a virtual machine works - you'll see vmware.exe 32bits or vmplayer.exe. These two give you MISTLETOE.

And you will see a vmware - vmx.exe 64-bit who is the applicatiojn who is actually going to virtual machines.

This means that you don't need to change anything. Mission is already accomplished.

Certification means running your application/database on a combination of hardware/OS so whenever you have a question, Oracle support will be able to help troubleshoot - you need to run your app on a certified operating system.
