You really cannot password protect folders with Vista (However, you can protect zipped files/records http://techblissonline.com/how-to-password-protect-zip-files-in-windows-xpwindows-vista/) - which is not one of its features (at least it is not 32-bit Vista Business SP2).

Maybe you don't want a program that hides files password protect. Here are a few other options that I found. Some work in various ways (not always password directly) - but they are all designed to protect your files and folders to be read by other people.

Here is a free software that protects files in encrypted them so only people you want to be able to access it can do without seeing just gibberish: http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/. It does not use a password (just your connection user name rights), but it accomplishes the same goal. There is also a paid version of this program that, in my view, password protect folders (or the free version can also well - information is not entirely clear).

I added this just so that you would have a final option if you do not like the others.

This should be enough options to check them out and make a choice (if it meets your needs). To do exactly what you want (and only that) probably requires commercial software (as above)-if I'm wrong, and one of them can do the job very well.

How to identify obsolete files in Windows XP?

My directory of Windows (XP) rose to more than 10 GB, which for me is more than 30% of my C: drive. I need to create because I only have 1 GB of free space on C:. Despite the defrag NTFS seems to perform badly under 20% of free space. (Yes, my documents and program files take up a lot of space, but not nearly as much as the Windows.)

I suspect that most of the files in my Windows directory are really outdated, but I can find no documentation MS how to identify obsolete files of Windows. Unfortunately, KB MS searches return only the details of the specific software issues and warnings no do not delete the contents of the directories like Installer & $hf_mig$ who collectively represent 40% of the space of files in the Windows folder.

Can someone point me to MS doc on the identification of obsolete files in Windows?

I moved my Documents to my another internal drive, but it was UGLY. Fortunately, I made a backup before you start. The Windows Move function fails if a file is locked by a process. Supposedly gives the user the possibility of closing the lock program, he abandoned the movement rather than a new attempt. Thus, the move is only partially complete. The restore function moves the files back, but not all the original files are retrieved. (Move offers no option to copy all files successfully before deleting the originals). With backup & some file/folder comparison software, I was able to recover all the lost files (probably).

In any case, the above is not your fault. I just thought you should know about the potential problems of moving. I commented to MS on moving article. I hope that similar questions are not present in Windows 7.

I still have 26G standing on C, all Documents & settings Windows and Program Files. But now I have 7 free G. Move my Documents was a good idea, just as subjects with MS Move function.

-Desregistrando the VM

In DW CS6, I have 180 files related to model A and 100 files related to model B, in the same Web site.
In order to make more effective the update, I have all the files related to a single model.
Editable regions now have the same naming protocol in both models.
How would merge 280 files related to a single model?

If the naming convention is the same in both models, you should be able to open a page generated by the model B, then select Modify > templates > detach the model. You can then link to A template by selecting Edit > templates > template apply to the Page. See the help files for more details: helps Dreamweaver | Existing application or removal of a model of a document.

To do this in Dreamweaver is to detach a single model and the application of the other in each page individually. I suspect that it could probably be done more quickly in a batch process just by changing the name of the template at the top of each page of the child. However, you cannot do this with find and replace in Dreamweaver, because the template markup is locked. You must use an external text editor.

My customer wants to fill and send it to their customers in a way that it cannot be changed by the recipient of the end. How to allow my client to fill and then to lock the file before it send to their own customers? (PC)

I'm under Oracle 11 GR 2. When I tried from Oracle sqlplus, I got the following errors:
