  Creation of forms like this are easier if you combine forms, such as Bojan illustrated in his post. To get the shape you illustrated in your post, you can create three shapes that you can combine to get rounded corners on the corners (user guides so that they fit), then subtract the only form, Bojan showed.

  Create basic shapes. I added a third form of fill the radius of the area that is removed later. I also added a stroke, so you can see the different shapes easier.

  I opened a picture of a flower and does the following:

  1. Open the photo file
  2. The tool magnetic lasso to select the foreground
  3. Place the selection on its own layer (layer > New > layer per copy or CTRL + J)-this will be 1 layer
  4. Delete the background layer
  5. Went to file > save for web. PNG-24, checked file format forcing boxes proportion & transparency
  6. Save the file in a folder on the desktop.

  To get something closer to your example, I tried the combination (using Pathfinder > unit) a (copy of the) Hexagon with corners applied and the other with a small amount of bloat (effect > Distort & Transform > Pucker & bloat), to round off the coast.

  You cannot run Oracle Forms/Reports 10 g with EBS 11i since it is not certified.

  I'm looking for a way to create a grid in Photoshop as in the image below (ignore the red lines). The key aspect of the grid, it's that, initially, it seems to be a regular 2D plane, it is actually indented in the Center. That said, I don't mind how this is done in Photoshop; all that matters is what it looks like.

  

  Ideally, I would also like to be able to change the lines of the grid of the same way I'm likely to change any other line (specifically, I need to be able to set the weight for the gridlines).

  Having never tried something like this before, any help would be greatly appreciated .

  Start by filling a doc with a grid. You can use a template for that, or there are the available actions that will make this interactively. For this example, I used a grid of 100 x 100 pixels, with a weight of a pixel.

  Image > Image Rotation > arbitrary, using 45 degrees. Select all and use the free transform to reduce the height. Use the filter Minimum or Maximum to increase the weight of the lines, as applicable, your grid is black or white.

  Finally, use the Liquify tool to pull down of a tooth:
