How to make a UN suppressible but accessible file in windows XP sp2

Hello
I use windows xp sp2, I'm in an area I need to lock the files of disk F: in my computer but I need to access it, then how can I make my files not suppressible but accessible.

Deleting files is a directory operation in the directory that contains the file.
So you will need to change the permissions on the folder or drive that your files are under and, if so, propagate these permissions to subfolders.

The easy way to do this is to use the 'Security' tab you see when you right-click the containing folder and select "Properties".  Since you are on a domain, you must have XP Pro.  To get to the 'Security' tab to display, you must turn off Simple file sharing or start your computer in Mode safe.

"How to disable the file sharing simple and how to set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP"

At this point, you must set your permissions on files such as remove permissions are removed.  In a Word, right-click on the folder/drive, select 'Properties', then:
-> Security (TAB)-> advanced uncheck the "inherit from the Parent.
Then, for each user or group access to the:
Select a user / group-> change-> click on 'Total control'-> then uncheck anything that begins with 'delete '.

Much more detail on the definition permissions are treated here:

"How to set, view, change, or remove special permissions for files and folders in Windows XP"

    Hello

The link may not work in preview (when the option to open the link in a new tab is checked) however this will work if you do a file > preview page/site in the browser.

Overview of Muse has only a single tab and impossible to open a tab/window, this is why this feature doesn't work in preview of Muse. but works in preview in the browser and in the published site.

  • How to make a backup set full of files that you selected (in Windows 7)?

If I click on 'save now' in Windows 7 will do a backup full of selected files?

I've finally found out of backups scheduled in Windows 7 because I could never determine what was a 'set' as there are has no indicators.

So the question is: in the future, I just want to complete backups of all the files I've selected every time I want to (since I still find the options for others) to perform a full backup what I do in the backup and restore window?

I'm sorry to say this, but the function of backup on Windows 7 is one of the worst I've ever seen - taking control of the user for what type of backup, they are done but never explain what is contained in a 'set '.   "Windows periodically make a new backup set...". ', they say.  Really? When? Why do I see a game with 250 GB, a second 'package' with 35 GB and when I click on 'save now' the file was 197 GB?  What is contained in these 35 GB?  Incremental?  Differential?  The secret of the Dead Sea Scrolls?

I'm not the first user to this problem, that is why users will third-party backup programs.  But it amazes me that MS cannot go down this basic procedure and explain it to the user.

Backup programs work very well with the following options:

Ask the user if they want to (1) create a 'complete' backup of the selected data, (2) create a "premium" with the files changed, or (3) "incremental" with the added files.  Indicate what kind of file the user seeks to him once it was created.  Is it so difficult?  .  In an attempt to "dumb down" the process there desperately ready to confusion with the result that if you delete a 'set' to clear a space not sure what you are deleting - very dangerous.

If the user wants to simplify and give software MS control software HAS yet to tell them what a 'set' is and what it contains. (full/differential/differential)   Otherwise, you cannot delete all files or sets for fear of erase something essential.   And you won't find until you crushed.

    Hello

Windows Backup allows you to make copies of data files for all people who use the computer. You can let Windows choose what to back up or you can select individual files, libraries, and drives that you want to save. By default, your backups are created on a regular basis. You can change the schedule and you can manually create a backup at any time. Once you have configured Windows backup, Windows keeps track of the files and folders that are new or modified and adds them to your backup.

  • How can I disable administrative privileges on all files in windows 7

Every time I change laptops, do a reboot of the system or any work on a file, I get locked out my files

    Hi James,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums.

I see from the description of the problem, you want to know how to disable the administrator privileges on all files.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. We are here to help and guide you in the right direction.

To resolve the issue with deactivation of administrator privileges, I need more information:
    1. what exactly mean you by "I get locked out of my files?
    2. are you logged in as a standard user or administrator?
    3. are you referring to the administrator user ID and quick Email?

If you are referring to the administrator user ID and quick Email, try the following steps and check if it helps.
    (a) open user account control settings by clicking on Start button.
    (b) then click on Panel.
    (c) in the Search box, type uac, and then click on change User Account Control settings.
    (d) drag the bar of never notify.

Note: You will not be notified until changes are made to your computer. If logged in as an administrator, programs can make changes to your computer you know on the subject.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

See the links for more information.

Let us know the status of the issue after you perform the troubleshooting steps. If you need additional help or information on Windows, I'll be happy to help you. We, at tender Microsoft to excellence.
  • How can I find the permissions for my files in windows xp?

I have windows xp, home edition.  I installed service pack 3 for the networks, hoping to access the Security tab in the folder properties.  Does anyone have an idea how to get the Security tab in folder properties in windows xp?  Once I get this security tab, I can follow the instructions to take possession of these records.

Thank you very much for your help.

The 'security' tab appears only if you have Windows XP Pro and you have disabled "Simple file sharing".

If you have Windows XP Home, then the only way to go to the Security tab is to start your computer in safe mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key while your computer starts) and then log in as a user with administrator privileges.

  • How to make a pdf searchable, but not editable

Have a few pdf that I need to put online for others to use, but the info should stay exactly as it is, what can I do to secure this information, while allowing others to research? Thank you

If you sign the document in electronic form, you can be sure of document has not been changed. You can sign with a certificate to be sure. However, nothing stops never someone to take a document, that you post and re-create, if it can be opened, it can be re-created. If it is signed with your certificate, you can only be sure that the copy will not be signed with your certificate.

Another story is now available. A signed document can be searched when opened. Do you want the document to be searchable from Google and other search engines? It's a different kettle of fish, because the more secure signed documents are encrypted. However, Acrobat DC allows (for example)

    (1) encrypt all the contents of the document or

    (2) encrypt all the contents except metadata document (Acrobat 6 and later compatible)

    (3) only encrypt attachments (Acrobat 7 and later compatible)

So choose (3) can do what you want.

  • How to make a backup copy of Access 2007 in Windows XP?

    Yes, it looks like this.

its been a while for me that I dealt with iso files.

However, I would try to just copy this file (like) on the CD.    then in the future, copy him on the hard drive to install msaccess, if necessary.

but just in case, the foregoing does not (or if this is the case) can also use the methods described here:

    http://www.Petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

so, it would not hurt to keep a couple of disks for each method above.

also, I learned that our House in discs last as long as commercial.  in order to have a number of CDs for the costly program is a good thing to have.   store one of them inside an old bood to keep out the light.

  • How to make a movie for a help file?

    All Howdee.

Over the years, I've seen blogs, online Web pages, etc. that animated or movie files to demonstrate how to perform account operations in a program window - such as office, etc...

As I thought about it, it seems that it would be necessary to use movie maker, or some other utility.

I can see where using a camera may be necessary, but many of the films simply appear as if they were actually an animated screen capture. Or some kind of movie as activity of what is happening directly on/in from the screen.

Anyone knows how this is done? The help files that describe the processes and programs/tools required to make these?
