I need to make a "zipper" and even the simplest line with cross lines perpendicular to regular spaces would do the trick for me.   Save your scripts folder in the scripts, like that they'll show in the file-> Scripts Menu. Then, save the two actions to run each script, each gives a shortcut key (i.e. & F3 F2) or run the Mode button if you want to.

  Note that you need to re - register the action every time that you restart illustrator.

  Unfortunately, you can't. Design mode is only an "orientation" POV. Test on the browser or use Live View to see how it will really look like.

  I'm a technical Illustrator who has been out of business for more than eight years. I'm looking for anything - books, tutorials, regardless - that will help me to re - learn how to do isometric/axonometric drawings in the latest version of Illustrator.

  I did a search in the forums and came with chips. There was a mention of the book Illustrator CS3 WoW containing a chapter on systems isometric. If anyone know if CS4 WoW book also contains this chapter? I really want to get your hands on something a little more complete, then pieces, I found so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know if there is a way to create a sine wave in illustrator. I managed to create a wave of cosine using the on line zig zag effect and choosing "smoothly". But I can't seem to find a good way to do a sinusoidal signal.

  If I (put) understand it, to create a single sinusoid full, you can:

  (1) create a horizontal line 2.5 times the length of the complete sinusoid desired (or you can adapt the length later);

  (2) effect > warp & Transform > Zig Zag 4 grooves by segment and Smmoths Points and height as the size (or you can adapt later);

  (3) object > expand appearance.

  (4) object > path > add Anchor Points;

  (5) with the scissors tool cut where the sine wave starts and ends.

  (6) separate if necessary and remove the end bits (and adjust the length/height if necessary).

  Did you remove all traces of high level in the layers (i.e. "layer-1") Panel?

  When something like you describe is reported, most often the user does not understand the layers of high level exist across all pages and updates on the page of your site. If you delete "Layer 1" you may remove the content of all pages of your site.

  1. make sure that you are connected to the PC and the CreativeCloud iPad with the same subscription that you use to launch Adobe Illustrator.

  2. with Internet on iPad, simply click: send to Illustrator.

  You even don't need to have Adobe Illustrator running, it should appear on your PC automatically.  If it is already running, the image will transfer as vector illustrations.

  If you have layers in the draw, they will appear as layers in Adobe Illustrator as well.

  You can then continue your design in Illustrator.

  (If you use Photoshop, it will stay in a layer, raster format)

  To get something closer to your example, I tried the combination (using Pathfinder > unit) a (copy of the) Hexagon with corners applied and the other with a small amount of bloat (effect > Distort & Transform > Pucker & bloat), to round off the coast.

  Right-click in the toolbar area and make sure that there is a controlled Document, or go to view > toolbars and check it out.

  EDIT: Make sure that you have a document open (even a new white will do it) or options may not appear.
