How to mount the iso image on the ESXi Tech support console

Hi friend

How to mount the iso image on the ESXi Tech support console?

I run the sub command and it failed.

# mount o loop-t iso9660 vmware-esx-drivers-net-be2net_400.2.102.440.0-1vmw.2.17.249663.292682.iso / free

editing: vmware-esx-drivers-net-be2net_400.2.102.440.0-1vmw.2.17.249663.292682.iso mounting on / open failed: no such device

ESXi does not provide the option of mounting ISOs. You try to install the driver the driver Async package be2net / ISO. Follow the steps below

(1) install VCLI
(2) mount the ISO on the host where you installed vcli
(3) use vihostupdate to install the driver
vihostupdate-i b - servername
He will ask for username and password of your host.

Thank you
Nithin

Then ESXi works OK and you want to copy ISO to host images?  If so, in the VI client, right-click on the data store and select Browse the data store.  One of the icons will allow you to transfer files from your PC to the data store.  You can change the settings of the virtual machine to have the CD uses an ISO data store (be sure to check the option "connect to food on '.)

I right click on the ISO file and the menu that opens does not give me an option of editing.  It says at the top of the game menu.  There is no an option of editing anywhere in the menu.  I looked into the open with option, but the Assembly isn't here either.

    Have you tried the following?

Right click on a .iso file > properties > click "Edit" under the "Général" tab > click on "Windows Explorer" > OK

Usually in Linux or Windows, if you clicked on the virtual drivers on HP iLO web interface, you will see the mounted folder automatically in the operating system.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - how to activate the shortcut keyboard-support on Vista?

Hello. I've recently updated my satellite pro a100-828 to windows vista, and things work well to a large extent with two exceptions:

    1. I can't figure out how to activate the shortcut keyboard-support: media-keys to the left and the fn keys do nothing. There seems to be no shortcut keyboard-utility for windows vista in the drivers * tion. So what to do?
    2. the standby electricity utility is not available, which is good because of the power saver new vista. Except that I can't dim the screen, so the battery does not last me too long. How can I do this?

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards

    Hello

These problems can be solved in a few minutes. You only need the added package Toshiba. It contains the driver for the FN - key, Toshiba Power Saver and more useful tips.

    Here you can download:

  • How to mount an ISO file

    Guys,

I'm pretty new on the VMWare environment so apologizes in advance for what might seem basic questions.

I want to mount an ISO of Windows 2008 file in the client VSphere 4.1.

Now when I Googled what he tells me to open a command prompt at the host and use the Assembly tool.

First question is I see a list of virtual machines, built by a previous contractor who took the site for reasons that I will not.

When I do a right click of the mouse I have a console open for each virtual machine, but what I want to do is mount an ISO file of windows 2008, so I can build a new virtual machine.

I see a name and an icon called VMCluster and under that 3 servers then under all virtual machines.

What I see is an option to go to the command line to mount the ISO file.

Can anyone please tellme how to proceed?

    Thank you

    Fred

Do you mean you want to mount the ISO in a virtual machine on a host?

If so, there are several ways to do so.

Best way to demonstrate would be: right click on the virtual machine, select "Open Console" and then in the top bar look for the icon that appears to be a CD. Click on this icon, select the CD/DVD drive and select "connect to the ISO image on the local disk.

A picture is attached below to demonstrate.

As you Rufus, all you need to do is plug the USB key. Select NTFS, click the DVD icon (create a bootable disc). Choose the ISO file and click Start.

Hello! I developed a Web site for android devices, and for my case Firefox exceeds all other browsers. But the problem is that I don't know how to open the error console, which is absolutely necessary for a developer.

that seems rather useful. However, I can't open the "preference" as he says.

Any suggestions are welcome. I'm open if you want to use the console via a remote computer, as doing the Opera or Chrome; or simply view all on the mobile device itself. I'm also happy if anyone knows how to open the preferences window. I use Firefox 15 on Samsung Galaxy Tab.

    Hello

I see that your particular PC is not active UEFI. You can check that the information provide in the BIOS.  Version 7 is not UEFI. If you start in the BIOS (tap button to power up the ESC) and then press F10 computer for installation.  Now, go to storage topics and then select Boot Order. You should be able to move the hard drive on it to the top of the list of Legacy devices and then save the settings.

I saw on some latops legacy USB option as a separate selectable parameter.
