  I have a (DRS and HA) cluster that is running under the control of a temporary (v.2.5) VirtualCenter server.

  Now, I need to move this cluster under another VirtualCenter Server (which manages several other servers and clusters).

  Do I have to recreate the cluster from scratch on the new virtual circuit (resource pools, configurations, etc.)? Is there a quick way to better/more simple/more?

  As for the availability of the service? Should I turn off the virtual machines?

  My hard drive was full. So I moved all my pictures in my external hard drive but not Lightroom Catalog. LT will not work with a catalog on a network.

  Photographs can be on a network drive, but the catalog must be on a local drive.  The local drive with the catalog can be a drive internal or external, just not a network drive.  Normally, I keep my catalog with photos to avoid any confusion, since I use more than one catalog.  For most people, a single catalog will work best.  Some people have had slow down issues with LR when the pictures are on a network drive, so keep that in mind.

  I have two pictures and I want to put one on the background of another.  When I make the selection in the source photo, do I have to save the selection or simply close the window? If I save is cutting or something else?  Or leave the window for the photo of the open source (former background)?   I was striking and has not seen the post from 99jon. Until step #5, the methods are the same. Step #5 allows you to refine the selection, as indicated so that the conversion doesn't look like false not - adjust the edges, feather, etc..

  I struggle to understand your workflow. What are invert you? Why you use the mask in the selection tool? When you copy / paste a selection, it is not on a separate layer? On the options bar to the move tool, at the top left, uncheck the box next to the layer select Auto. Who can help.

  If the step #5 is an obstacle to progress, don't use it.

  You can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile on a different hard drive folder by clicking on the button "choose a folder.
  Be sure to select a new empty file and not a folder that already contains files.

  You can transfer files from the current profile folder to this folder.

  Background

  I have two alternatives in mind. Lightroom or Photos.

  I believe that the development of Lightroom is such that Lightroom DVD no longer exist as standalones, but only as a subscription with a monthly fee.

  Goal

  It is my goal to keep photos sorted by chronological order in projects (terminology of the opening). I rarely work with individual photos. When I do I can crop or use the alternative 'effects' in the aperture settings. No more than that.

  I also want to keep the settings that I made earlier when I move my library to open in the other program.

  Info on my library

  My library contains 85 000 photos. I use not RAW. The photos are jpg

  When I've made an adjustment, I am willing to go against the original. I is not need to return to the original. The created version is welcome to be the new "original".

  Where am I

  The projects will be treated differently. Pictures uses 'moments' as the structure of the core library. Each photo and all of its versions will be in one a time, just like the aperture projects.    But while you could move photos between projects in Aperture and name projects, the moments are created automatically.  Photos will automatically collect all the photos taken at the same time in the same place in an instant, and related moments will be a collection. All collections in the same year will be collected in a view of the year.

  This will give you a completely automatic chronological view of your photos.  You can create albums and folders of the albums, as the smart albums.

In any case, now that I know that, by moving are the easy part. That they won't play the external card, however, because Android brings as a file type not recognized.
