Instructions

  1. Switch on your Cintiq monitor. If you have correctly installed the Cintiq, it displays a second computer. It also detects the pen as a mouse controller tip when you bring the pen close to the screen.
  2. Launch Photoshop on your computer. By default, the program opens in the main screen of your computer.
  3. Click the 'Window' button in the upper right of the Photoshop window if the program is not already running in windowed mode. This will allow you to move the Photoshop window freely.
  4. Click and hold on the Executive of the Photoshop window and drag the window of your primary monitor in the Cintiq screen.
  5. Release the mouse button to place the window in the Cintiq monitor. You will have to perhaps to click and drag on the sides of the window to resize to fit the screen.
  6. Drag the toolbars of Photoshop and other windows in the Cintiq monitor. These windows move individually and each will require the establishment on the second screen.
  7. Click on the "File" menu, then click on 'Open' to open an existing file or a 'new' to create a new blank canvas. You can use the stylus to select these options on the Cintiq screen.
  8. Select a drawing tool from the toolbar, such as a pencil, pen or a brush. You can choose the draw

    Take a look at Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw. You can specify how to handle JPG and TIFF files to open files by default in ACR or just the files with ACR settings.     I work on a laptop HP G62 with addition to the Windows 7 home page. When I open Photoshop 2015 it automatically opens 4 of my previous projects (most of them were the first projects I opened after update to Photoshop 2015. When I close one of them or any new project that I can work on the whole program stops. How can I avoid these projects to open automatically or to prevent the closure of Photoshop?

    It sounds like Photoshop has crashed at one point in time and there is ASR files created before the crash.   When Photoshop is open after the crash, that it automatically opens the recovery files so you can recover a large part of you work. Only what you were doing after the last automatic backup and the accident will be lost.  However, you must save that recover you in a format of image file and close the document in Photoshop, so that the recovery of the recovery file is deleted.

    Close Photoshop and use the Windows Control Panel folder Options feature to set the option of defining view so you can see the folder and the files that are hidden in Windows by default.  Then use Windows file explore to watch your normally hidden user ID files.  Glance for this path.     Am I right to assume that you are referring to the .psd files when you say Photoshop images? Other types of file .jpg or .png as usually automatically open with preview.

    If this is the case, it sounds like a parameter has been changed on your Mac. Try this: right-click on the icon for your file and select information.

    In the section titled Open with, make sure that Photoshop is the default program. After you select the Photoshop, click all change... This will cause all files with the extension to open with the default Photoshop .psd.

    * Note that it is a function of specific extension if the files you are editing are .jpg for example, all .jpg files with open by default with Photoshop.

    If you're still having problems, I'd recommend asking around on a Mac Help forum, since it is most likely a problem with your system, no Photoshop.
