How to play a movie on a Portable DVD player?

My laptop has no built in DVD player. I have a laptop HP Pavilion I think, anyway... It doesn't have a built-in drive compartment. So I try to use a portable DVD to stream movies. But it will not play them. I have tried almost everything to make it work, but nothing works. Help, please.

Hello

8.1 Windows does not read the DVD.

"" DVD for Windows 8.1 playback options."

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/DVD-playback-help

"Windows and Windows Pro 8.1 8.1 do not come with DVD movie playback capability. If you are running Windows 8.1 or 8.1 Windows Pro, you can search for a DVD player application in the Windows store (learn more about the Windows store). »

And Microsoft has stopped selling some Media Center for 8.1 which was a workaround solution.

"Pack Pro Windows 8 and 8.1 and Media Pack are no longer available for purchase"

I suggest you look at using another media player to watch DVDs.

  • Does anyone know how to unlock region on a CD-ROM DVD player codes?

Does anyone know how to unlock region on a CD-ROM DVD player codes?  I have this stupid Windows 8 and so far I only have PowerDVD. But I also have windows media player.  I am trying to get Windows Media Player to access the DVD that I used for Windows 7, but whenever I stick one in this computer stupid, by default it starts to Power DVD.

According to the power dvd faq: "the limit is in accordance with the requirements specified by the major movie studios. PowerDVD allows you to change the codes of the region up to 5 times (also depending on your DVD player) and then automatically record fifth region code setting. Subsequently, you can only play DVD titles in the fifth code region or non - CSS all regions DVD titles. Area code will remain locked even if you reinstall PowerDVD. »

  • Try to get a signal input of 60 Hz on SDP92SKY portable DVD player

Hi, I hope someone here can help a lot. I have a 9 '' portable DVD SDP92SKY player and was hoping to use it to play my xbox 360 (I know, it's a small screen but I spend long periods away from home). The Xbox360 has the exit optionpour 50 Hz PAL and the VA to taken on the SDP92SKY works well, but most games will not play if this setting is selected. When I put the 360 at 60 Hz the SDP92SKY displays out of sync and I get long periods of black screens.

I think there must be a way to get the screen to accept the signal 60 Hz in a way that I can use. Otherwise, this was an unnecessary purchase.

    Hello

    read this on the engraving in the mastered Format;

    Burn a CD or DVD

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/burn-a-CD-or-DVD

Burn a disc using the ISO image format

Choose the size of the ISO image when you need a highly compatible disc that will play in computers with an older version of Windows or in devices such as CD and DVD players that can play video files and music digital. For more information about choosing a disc format, see which CD or DVD format should I use?

    1. Insert a writable CD or DVD CD writer or DVD in your computer.

    2. In the dialog box that appears, click on burn the files to a data disc.

    3. In the engraving, a disc dialog box, type a name for this disc, and then click Show formatting options.

    4. Click on ISO image, and then click Next.

      An empty disc folder opens.

    5. Open the folder that contains the files to burn and then drag the files into the empty disc folder.

    6. In the toolbar, click on burn to disc.

The selected files are copied to the disk. When burning is complete, the drive tray opens and you can remove the drive. You can now use the disc in another computer or media. This type of disc has no need to be closed.

  • Satellite Pro A300D - cannot play movies on a Toshiba DVD player

    Hi guys,.

When I play movies in Toshiba DVD player I get the following error message: "unable to output the video to an external device. Please check the external output setting after the end of the application. TEMPRO, I installed and tried to install all updates - some of them were for different hardware so wouldn't install.

I get a similar problem in Windows Media Player "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card. VLC player works fine. The drive otherwise normally functioning.

It's the same problem, as described in this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=201029&tstart=0, but all the answers are a similar problem with HD DVD on a different model (P200).

Anyone know how I can fix this problem? I'm not sure I can be bothered to go back and reinstall Vista etc...

    Thank you
    Alex

    Hey Buddy,

According to the Toshiba DVD Player error message: are you trying to watch DVDs on an external monitor or TV?
In your case, I will try to reinstall the DVD playback software. This means delete the current version and then restart your computer. Then download and install the latest software from Toshiba DVD player.

But to be honest: it's that everything works with VLC media player as it s very big and small media player that can play all audio and video files. Isn t it? ;)

  • Satellite L300D - can't watch movies using a Toshiba DVD player

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L300D - 12L and the toshiba dvd player has stopped working.

The laptop is always able to recognize the dvd as the 'AutoPlay' box appears when a DVD is inserted and says ' DVD RW drive (e :)) "at the top of the follow-up to the title of the film.
I then click on 'play the DVD using a DVD TOSHIBE movie'... and nothing happens.

I tried several different DVD, which I know work in other laptops or DVD players.
I tried by following this link...

    http://www.TechSpot.com/VB/topic27616.html

and deleted the lowerfilters and upperfilters but that cause problems and I had to perform a system restore.
I'm running out of ideas and I would like to be able to watch DVD on my laptop again because I don't have a TV or a DVD player.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It seems that the CD-DVD drive can read the disc, but it seems that the Toshiba DVD Player cannot play video files

Then maybe you should try to play the DVD using other software like Windows Media Player or VLC player download VLC player this small software and install it
Then try to play the movie

I recommend also to install the tool called DVD Player Update Check Tool that you find on the European driver Toshiba page.

With this tool, you can check your laptop, if your DVD player needs an upgrade and if so, it gives you the download link for version upgrade needed.

I got burned a DVD with Nero 7 premium, but when I play in the dvd player, it works idle all the time. Other movies are played normally (so the problem is not the dvd player phillips), this only happens with the ones I burned in my new Toshiba laptop.

  • Satellite A45-S250: how to use the recovery CD if the DVD player does not work

    Hi all
First of all, apologize for my English, I'm french :)

So my problem is that I would like to re - install everything on an A45-S250 using the recovery CD.
But the main problem is that the internal DVD player no longer exists.

I try plugging in an external DVD drive, but the laptop won't start on it.

I have seen that it can start with a disk, lan or SD card drive. But with opportunities of theses, how power reinstall everything include in the recovery CD?

I may have a usb floppy drive, so I'll be able to boot from a bootable disk. but then how to start the process of recovery CD?
I will prefer to use the recovery as a home standart WinXP CD, because I know that the OEM series will not work in an original version of Windows XP...

    Thanks for your help!

    Kubs

    Hello Kubs

I see only one solution: you have to somehow use external DVD player and make it visible to your laptop. I try didn t, but I guess you need to start your laptop using WXP startdisc and load the MS-DOS driver for external device.
If you will have success to access external hard drive I guess that you will be able to start the recovery procedure.

  • How I know my laptop it has a DVD player?

All of a sudden my HP Pavilion dv9310us could not find the driver for the DVD drive. After re-starting a couple of times without success, I foolishly decided to uninstall the driver so I could re - install a new one. Now, it does not has a DVD player I can hang a pilot, if I can find a driver. Two questions: how to tell him he has a player and where to find the driver. I am running Vista Home.

Thank you very much! This site had a "Driver Detective" program that ran a support service.

I told them the problem and they sent back a procedure that corrected the problem.

  • How to remove the region lock on the DVD player?

    Hello

My laptop has a pioneer dvr-k16a. I had looked at a few DVD borrowed from my friend who asked the region 1 to play, so I switched it to region 1 and now I can't go back there more. Apparently my DVD - RW being locked in region I don't know after it happens.

Y does it can someone help me upward?

    Hello

I do not recommend to Flash Player to make it region free.
In my opinion the application set are not very serious and risky.

I read on many sites that after these applications using readers were not able to read and write BIOS or media and operating system will not recognize the drive.

Of course you can find many Web sites that offer different software, but you know, internal portable players are not cheap and I think the risks are too high.

By the way: you will also lose the warranty if can damage the drive with such tools
    Be so careful my friend!
