I found several answers and tutorials, but none of them considers CS6 or they are simply too primitive, in which case the effect is too fake. But when I try to follow the instructions in the explanations/tutorials that I found so far for older versions of Photoshop (especially regarding the 3D effects), I can't find the right buttons, commands, etc. - I can't make it work.

  I found a way that works, however I have a lttle glitch. The overlay image moves from left to right depedning on the width of the browser window. Is it possible to anchor the image to stay left brim edge of model and not window? I'm using the following code for the css:

  Could you possibly take a screenshot of your workspace, or provide the images you work with? I'm having a little trouble to know what you mean when you say that Photoshop does drag the canvas along.

  Your logo already has a transparent background? If your logo is in fact a transparent .png, you can add it to a new long layer with your header background layer by going on file > Place... , then click on your logo file.

  

  Once you place your .png file, you should be able to resize and move the logo accordingly. When you are satisfied, simply press enter on your keyboard.

  

  Is there a layer in your panels layer called 'Background' with a little beside him lock icon? If so, you can go ahead and delete this layer. This layer is usually created by default when you open a new canvas in Photoshop, but it could be causing your problem of transparency.

  

  Yet once, if you could take a screenshot of your work space or join your images source for a response, which would greatly improve our ability to provide assistance.

  We know all that JPEG doesn't support transparency, but the attached file is in JPEG format with transparency and opening the file in Photoshop cs4 its error display (screen shot below) and I tried out in the procedure below

  Opening files in ms-paint and new re-registration in png or JPEG, but shows error like this "complete transparency will be lost" (screenshot attached)

  Another thing to try in photoshop cs4 is to go to file > open as and select PNG and then click Open.

  I'm just familiarize yourself with dreamweaver before trying to design a site, but I hit a bit of a stumbling block.  I have a logo that was created the word by using a newly created police.  I managed to transfer fonts to DW and import the logo as an image without any problems, but what I want to do is to change the background color, and have the spectacle of the image transparent.  The logo is doing is dark blue, but if I change the background color, the logo still surrounds see the white, to show the logo in as a white square.

  What should I do to get rid of the white background on the logo?  I have Photoshop but once again I am useless with her!

  Play with the Clip and invert mask options.

  You can change a complement to the mask when the mask is selected on the right.
