How to recover the backup of user data DVD

Windows 7 Home Edition premium, I did a backup of the user data at 25 DVD before restoring the original operating system from the recovery partition.  Now I want to restore data from the DVD. I can't find anything in the title of recovery and restoration. but I found an EXE called RecoveryMrg on the 1st DVD.  By clicking on it, I get an hourglass when I put the cursor on the window of the files on the dvd.

He suggested in another post on the forum this should take a while. Well, it has been a few hours.

In the resource monitor DISK tab, I don't see any activity for the DVD player. (But I don't know that it should show op it)

Is that long normally? Or it's the wrong way to restore files of the user?

Thank you

I'm glad you had your important data stored on your computer!
The HP_TOOLS partition contains the recovery image. If you have recovery media (DVD/USB), then it is not necessary to have this partition to restore your system to the factory settings. If you want to restore, you will need perform an HP recovery to factory settings.

I hope this helps.

  • How to recover the server response XML data

    Hey fellows,

    So I wrote this piece of code that sends an image to a server (thanks a lot Mantaker for the position you where has written on it!) and then I expect to receive a response in the form of XML code. I tried to use getResponseMessage(), which gives me a nice 'OK '.

    How could I achieve this? I read somewhere that it might be possible through a feed, could you help me?

    I'll give you a lot of congratulations!

    If you already have the basics of an HttpConnection down, it gets a little easier later.

    Once you have the your HttpConnection InputStream you can create a Document for analysis using the built-in XML parser.

    public static Document getXmlDoc(InputStream in)
    {
        Document doc = null;
        DocumentBuilderFactory docBuilderFactory
            = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();

        DocumentBuilder docBuilder;

        try {
            docBuilder = docBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder();
            docBuilder.isValidating();

            doc = docBuilder.parse(in);
            doc.getDocumentElement().normalize();
        } catch (Exception e) {
            System.out.println("getXmlDoc Error: " + e);
        }

        return doc;
    }

    It is a basic function that I use to read a XML from a web server. If there are errors reading or parsing of the document, this function returns null.

    After making sure that you close your InputStream, you can start reading your document.

  • How can I recover the modules and their data from a failed HARD drive (the lost BONE areas, but data files are readable)?

    The HARD drive that was my OS (Windows XP Pro SP3) failed and lost quite a few areas which are essential for the operating system running. Other data is still readable. A got another HARD drive and installed Windows XP SP2, Firefox and other programs. I was able to retrieve the bookmarks, security certificates, and other profile information using the information found in bandages.

    None of them addressed how do to recover the modules or their data. Specifically, there are several large, elegant scripts that took months to develop and customize.

    Articles related to migration and other do not work for me because they require the old copy of FF is functional, that is not because the OS on this HARD drive is damaged. Is it possible to recover these data, similar (or not) about how I could get the other profile info?

    Have you copied the entire folder C:\Documents and Settings\username \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ on the old drive?
    If this is not the case, can you?
    If so, make a copy and save this folder just in case.

    If so, you could replace this folder on the new facility by \Profiles\ [with your profiles inside] folder and the profiles.ini file [delete all other files / folders that may also be in the folder "Firefox"] -and then replace with the same folder named from the old failed drive. Note that you will lose what you already have with the new installation / profile!
    Your profile folder contains all your personal data and customizations, including looking for plugins, themes, extensions and their data / customizations - but no plugins.
    But if the user logon name is different on the new facility that the former, any extension that uses an absolute path to the file in its prefs will be problems. Easily rectified, by changing the path to the file in the file prefs, js - keep the brake line formatting intact. The extensions created after the era of Firefox 2.0 or 3.0, due to changes in the 'rules' for creating extensions usually are not a problem, but some real old extensions that need only "minor" since that time can still use absolute paths - even though I have not seen myself since Firefox Firefox 3.6 or 4.0.

    View instead of 'Modules' I mentioned the 4 types of 'Modules' separately - Plugins are seen as 'Add-ons', but they are not installed in the profile [except those mislabelled as a "plugin", when they are installed via an XPI file], but rather in the operating system where Firefox 'find' through the registry.

    Note: Migration articles can tell you do not re - use the prefs.js file, due to an issue that I feel is easily fixed with a little inspection and editing. I think you can manage that my perception is that you have a small shovel in your tool box, if you encounter a problem you are able to do a little digging and fixing problems with the paths to files - once you have been warned.

    Overall, if you go Firefox 35 35 or even Firefox 34 to 35, I don't think you will run in all the problems that you can not handle [that I cross my fingers and "hope" that I'm not on what it is obvious].

    With regard to the recovery of the 'data' for individual extensions - there are many ways that extension developers used to store their data and pref. The original way should save in prefs.js or their own file RDF in the profile folder. While Firefox has been developed more, developers started using their own files in the profile folder. And because Mozilla has started using sqlite database files in Firefox 3.0, Mozilla extended their own use of sqlite, as have extension developers.
    Elegant uses the file stylish.sqlite to store 'styles', but something in the back of my mine tells me that 'the index' maybe not in this file with the data. But then again, I can be confusing myself a question I had with GreaseMonkey awhile back where I copied the gm_scripts folder in a new profile and with already installed GreaseMonkey but with no script. These GM scripts worked, but I could not see them or modify them - they do not appear in the user GM extension interface window in Firefox.

  • How to decrypt the backup file

    Hi all

    I need to know how to decipher the backup file (ACS 5.3) on the desktop. Below is relevant for once you import the file to restore. However, my problem is to extract the file to your desktop

    ============================================================

    GBA backup encryption

    Backup of the ACS is now encrypted using a password of dynamic encryption. The user is prompted for an encryption password when executing a backup operation. ACS encrypts only the ACS data by using a dynamic encryption key. CARS and the ACS view data is encrypted using a static key. That is why ACS invites to enter a password for encryption when you perform a backup that contains the data of the ACS. The user is prompted for a password for decryption while restoring a backup that contains the data of the ACS.

    When you run a backup in ACS, ACS uses the static to encrypt key the CARS and the ACS data and actually a file of .gpg while GBA backup data is saved inside this file as file separate .gpg .gpg using the dynamic encryption password. When you restore the full backup, ACS invites for the decryption password decrypt the backup ACS data. ACS decrypts the data from CARS and display ACS data using the static key.

    The encryption password must have:

    • a minimum of 8 characters
    • no more than 32 characters
    • letter at least one capital letter.
    • at least a tiny.

    «Special characters are allowed except "'", "$", "(" et "") "» ACS displays the password strategy if the entered password does not meet password requirements.

    ===========================================================

    for people who would ask "Why I want to do this": it's policies related audit password standards

    Hello

    I can't think about a way to recover your files, it's to restore the file to a temp ACS server can generate a backup that is not encrypted.

    I would say we can decrypt the file on your desktop if we know the method that was used to encrypt it. I think that this information is not provided anywhere in the doc of cisco.

    Kind regards

    1 how to recover the database and put online

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Regarding
    Hemant Joshi

    Published by: hem_Kec on 7 Sep 2008 09:07

    Hello

    It is actually quite easy.
    We knew that Oracle was looking for logsequence 1107. There is no archived log, it was deleted, or it has never generated. As you delete files, the 1st solution would be possible, BUT as there was only an instance crash so more old archived logs is not required for crash recovery. There is a need during the restoration of the old backup files, which is not our case.

    Thus, the missing log sequence has not been archived = > it is a redo log.
    To identify the required online redo log, we just to log query v$ as I suggest.

    Once the log identified file, we can recover it by specifying the redo log when you ask logsequence 1107.

    And it is on. We win! :)

  • How to recover the complete installation of NDK IDE SDK?

    I just downloaded the gold 10.1, my NDK 10.0 and 10.1 in the same place. I have not updated my device and the IDE does not compile because the target device has older software.

    Now, I want to know how to recover the SDK outside of a full installation of QNX IDE. I just need an IDE if I could use several software development kits, and the IDE itself must have consumed a lot of HARD disk space.

    I like to keep the SDK installers so I can install them even without an internet connection (if I have to in the future). Someone can tell me how to recover (only the development kit) SDK full QNX IDE install and use with IDEs installed?

    I noticed that in the advanced SDK properties, there are two folder paths: Tools SDK and the Platform SDK. Can I copy these two files and use them also?

    If you still have the copy of the previous version of the sdk (two files 10.0 installation directory, host_10_0_10_536, and target_10_0_10_672 example), and if you are on Windows 7, you can copy these two files to the 10.1 installation directory and go to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Native SDK\qconfig and play a bit with .xml files that match the target sdk 10.0 (just in) change these two folders location paths).

    If you do not have a copy of them, the best solution is to click on the refresh icon and install the sdk that corresponds to your os from the target device.
