  We recommend that you remove the entry that allows Windows to start successfully. Microsoft Windows Vista (C:\Windows) is the default. You can remove the second entry and check the result (delete if it does not work).

  I don't understand why you would be denied access to the Inbox, but that following and you will end up with an Inbox again and empty.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer.   It's actually a bit more complicated to do than of simply by clicking a button. Is there a particular reason you want to uninstall OE? It mgith be easier to leave and have Outlook 2007 works as your main e-mail program.

  If you do not want to uninstall, follow the detail what posted here.

  Log in your computer. Make sure that your account has administrative rights. Your CD-Rom drive must be empty. Remove any disc which can be inside.

  Double-click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Folder Options '. Click on "display".

  Go to the section "hide files and folders. Click on 'display the hidden files and folders '. Check the option "Hide extensions of known file types" to clear it. Click on, and then clear the checkbox "Hide protected operating system files." A dialog box with a warning message is displayed. Click on the Yes"" button. When Windows prompts you on the protection of the files, click "Cancel". Do not insert the Windows CD in your CD-Rom drive. When Windows prompts you to not recognize the file, click 'yes '.

  First of all, you need to remove the dual-boot scenario (this is why you cannot format).  Here is the procedure - it is generic, but should work with these operating systems as wel (this is the second series):http://www.ehow.com/how_4558992_delete-computer-operating-system.html.

  Once you start only in Windows7 (you have more choice at the start), you should be able to use Windows7 to format the disk containing Vista and then you're done.

  Be very careful, because change startup files can cause you to lose access to the two systems - not only the Vista-if you do not correctly.  I suggest that ask you that question in the Windows7 Forums; http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7 of confirmation for Windows7 is what you want to keep.

  I had the same problem but with Win 7.  I got mine to work by looking for the FTP site in the registry and delete it.

  Run regedit

  Searched using EDIT , FIND , ftp.whatever.com , clicking SEARCH the NEXT

  (Found in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, FTP accounts )

  Right click on the site FTP send me problems (ftp.whatever.com) and deleted.

  Closed regedit.

  Pulled up to Windows Explorer: problem solved.

  Open Calendar app first, then open charms > setting > options. You will find the birthday calendar check box. Set it to hide. Then you are ok to go.
