  Open the html file in any text editing software (works Motepad).  In the HTML web page it will be hopefully a "wmode" parameter specified in the embed code for your Flash.  Specify that to be "transparent".

  Sounds a rather twisted workflow. Create the leg like a a path in Photoshop, select with the path tool, copy & paste it in Illustrator. Works much better and avoids all the pitfalls. For your problem of trace: be sure to choose ignore white.

  My friend works on an action, who would edit images by removing the white background color. However, there are a lot of images with transparent background or after some other actions have no selection who had to be removed.   With a script, you would just put your code in a try/catch block. This intercept errors such as the selection of a transparent area and do not stop your script:

  This depends really on what type of Member of text that you used, but in general, you should select the sprite on the stage, then go to the Sprite of the property inspector tab.  Find the ink setting and change into Transparent or Matt.

  JPG doesn't support transparency, so when a zone is empty it fills the background color.

  PNG save transparency but then you must make sure that you are save in this format.

  Using the magic wand to target and remove the unwanted area works perfectly, but you still need once, be sure to save it as a PNG image.

I used the screen blending mode to remove the black background and then exported as a PNG sequence (I need in this format), taking care to tick the box of alpha layers before you export.   To my knowledge, you can't knock out black with a screen blend mode unless you are compositing it on another element. If you need information on what is generally referred to as "Unmult,' (black unmultiplying to be used for a visual effect) you can read this excellent article from Rich Young on PVC: 'Unmult" with and without plug-ins special by Rich Young - ProVideo Coalition

  In the future, I recommend that you check to see if you create an alpha channel. Check it out by switching on the transparency grid in the program monitor. You can also put the Composite Alpha to check the alpha before export. See screenshots.

  You export a video to enter in Camtasia? If, therefore, in the export options video there is a checkbox to say to ignore the color of the scene and to generate an alpha channel. Don't say to compress the video in Adobe Media Encoder, just take the MOV file in Camtasia.

  If you say that Camtasia supports importing of SWF files, then it would be Camtasia to make the background transparent.
