What computer brand and model?

The fine print in the documentation with a new computer in the majority of cases recommends the creation of a repair. I guess that this recommendation has been forgotten. In this case, must be restored to factory settings which unfortunately removes all installed programs and existing data files (programs just don't not with initial purchase.) If you have access and save data files, you must do this first.

If you cannot access the drive, you can remove the hard drive in an external case 2.5 (3.5 are disks of office) and connect to a USB port on a different computer. You can then make access the disk to copy the data files to the second computer, then to external media.

Just three days ago, I used a Windows 7 (without SP1) installation disc to restore a System Image of Windows 7 with SP1.

If you want, you can create the system repair disc, but it is not necessary.

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

  • System was a dell, but everything has been changed. Should recovery/repair disc what I do?

Original title: I need to run recovery on my xp

I need to run a recovery/repair on my family computer for my windows xp cd, but all I can find is a for a dell xp home recovery disk. My computer was originally from dell, but we changed rooms (motherboard, CPU, ram, video card, etc.) and told me that now I can't launch an inside dell recovery disk. Is this correct? If so should what type of recovery/repair disc I do?

That is right. The Dell recovery disk will work only on the original Dell equipment.  You will need to purchase a retail license, either a generic OEM license without brand that has never been used.

  • Error code 0xc0aa0204 when creating a system repair disc

I get an error when I tried to create the system repair disc. The error indicates that the media is upside down, (0XC0AA0204 error code). It is not upside down. How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

With the publication of the description, I understand that you are getting an error code: 0XC0AA0204 while creating a system repair disk on your Windows 7 computer. I will certainly help you get this fixed number.

Since the error itself says that there is a problem with the disc. While there might be a possibility of a few scratches on the disc, or it might not be readable by the optical drive.

I suggest trying to use another drive or you can also try to use this same disc on any computer/computer to diagnose whether or not the problem is with the disc.

Hope this information helps. Please let us know if you need any other help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help you.

  • Create the system repair disc

I can't do a Windows 7 system repair disc.  I get the following message:

System repair disc could not be created

The disc has no burn checking and may pass
contain corrupted data or be unusable (0xC0AA0007)

To work around the problem, I could use a system repair made on another computer disc, but I have some questions about it.

Is a system of specific computer system repair disc?  Should be used on the computer that actually?

A system 10 Windows repair disk can be used on a Windows 7 computer?

A Windows 7 system repair disc can be used on a computer of 10 Windows?

    I'm stuck.  Help, please.

    UPDATE:

II found the cause of my problem and now I want to pass the information to all those who encounter this problem on similar computers.

The computer is a RC210G-old Sony Vaio VGC, which is a strange beast, indeed.

The computer originally had Windows XP MCE on it and a BIOS that begins with PR94510J.04T.0096

This computer has a few tricks RAID on the motherboard, and any settings in the BIOS or Windows, empty DVD players are not recognized.  So the solution to my problem is to put a disk used in the drive to DVD - RW and THEN launch the utility to do a system repair disc.  Once the drive appears and I am asked to put a blank disc in the drive, eject the disc used and put in a vacuum before clicking CONTINUE.

If I followed the above procedure, the disc manufacturing process goes as it is supposed to.

    Thank you for your attention.

To get all the features of a repair disc, you must create it on any machine with the same width (32 or 64-bit) bus and under the same version of Windows.

Disks of repair carried out under different versions of Windows can also be used, but they offer reduced functionality. The work of the command but prompt the system restore will not.
