How to repair this tenacious computer. turns on, then it does

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion, the only number I could find is the model number p7-1036. I hope it is the right one? Windows 7 is installed.

I have made all changes to the computer, the updates were / are up to date. The computer turns off and I could not start. I unplugged, waitede, plugged in. This happened 2 weeks ago the computer has 1.5 years. I kept it unplugged for 2 weeks and plugged earlier again and he did it again!

now, how can I know what was / is wrong?

I want to be able to fix it until the computer dies all the way.

I don't know too much about computers, Im ready to publish any information that may be important, it is just please explain to me how to access

Thank you!

Smores

I totally understand you 100%. But it is good news that everything passed with flying colors.

Another thing I can think of because sometimes a computer can completely cut off would be if he may be overheated. Another recommendation would be to remove all plugins and check the inside of the Panel for any heavy dust also check-out events to ensure that they are not blocked. Canned air works well with which clean or you can also use a hair dryer that blows cool air.

Here are some links that will help you if it is indeed a problem of internal heat.

Reduce the heat

Also I do not know what anti-virus software you have, but it wouldn't hurt to run a full scan which can last from 1 hour in all depends on what all you have on your computer.

From now on, these are the best precautions, I can offer at this point.

Let me know if it helps

Thank you

  • Highlighted in yellow, a section of a message cannot find how to do this.

I received messages where the highlights of person in yellow a phrase or section of my message they respond to-please, how to do this?

Messages on the Mac does not support rich text (e.g. highlighting, pointed out, etc) creation (even with copy/paste styles). Someone using Thunderbird, or MS Outlook client e-mail you can send messages with yellow text highlighting, because Apple Mail includes in HTML background colors. Apple Mail has no native user controls to apply a (lasting) nail on the compound, or responded by e-mail.

You can compose your response by email in TextEdit, apply the highlight yellow, crossed and other features, you can then export of Rich Text in an HTML document. You double-click on it, and it will open in Safari. You then copy/paste the content of Safari read in the body of your Apple Mail compose window. Most will not want to do that, because it's just annoying.

Successfully, I sent and received the original e-mail, including the (invisible) HTML markup, including the yellow background, in Apple Mail. Your mileage may vary depending on the features of the agent from the user for the mail to the recipient.

I signed up for Apple music and since then I can't synchronize playlists from my computer to my phone because it says I have iTunes game turned on, but I do not subscribe to iTunes recently Match (ish). How to make this stop?

    Hello

You cannot synchronize in usb or wifi if you subscribe to the Apple's music. The basic principle of the AM is that your iTunes library is scanned to determine what can be matched or must be downloaded. Once completed, all the music you will be available to listen to or download on your iOS device.

  • The screen of my computer no longer turns. It is supposed to run it any way, I flip the screen, I can not understand how to solve this problem

The screen of my computer no longer turns. It is supposed to run it any way, I flip the screen, I can not understand how to solve this problem. I guess a child (best case scenario) or my husband (worst case) have been involved in this. But it drives me crazy. Any ideas on how to get that back in action?

    Hello

What is the brand and model of the computer?

Were there recent changes made on the computer before the show?

This issue could be due to corrupted graphics cards drivers. I suggest you to update the latest version of the drivers of graphics from the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  • My computer turns on once a week automatically during the night. How can I stop this from happening? Thanks Gunter

    Hello
I bought a used desktop computer. After setting it up again to what I had before I find the computer comes on every Saturday night at the same time. How can I stop this from happening?
If anyone has an answer for me please give him in singles and not "computer language".
    Thank you
    Gunter

Your best course of action would be to do a complete new installation of Windows.  Not sure how this computer has been maintained or used.  She could have anything whatsoever thereon against malware of illegal material.

Although the automatic turn on every Saturday night is probably trivial (for example, some application checking to see if there are updates), it could be malware "phone home" with your personal information (bank accounts, passwords, etc.).

This TechNet article provided by 'Support' engineer is not likely to be useful for you.  For Windows XP (you posted your question in a Windows XP forum), open scheduled as follows:

Click Start > click on all programs > point to Accessories > tap System Tools > and then click scheduled tasks.

Review each of the tasks listed to determine what they are doing.  You can then decide if you want to remove one of them.  You should consider, however, that there may be other mechanisms that cause your computer turn on as you describe.

    Hello

First disconnect the external devices connected to the computer except the mouse and keyboard.

Startup Repair is a Windows Vista recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as system files missing or damaged that may prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.

As Windows automatically launches the Startup Repair tool there is a possibility that she cannot cross the whole scan problems.

I suggest that you do the startup repair using the Windows Vista installation disc and check if it works.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

    1. Insert the installation disc.
    2. restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the lock button, and then click restart.
    3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
    4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    5. click on Repair your computer.
    6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

Check out the link for more information below.

If startup repair does not resolve the issue then in the same way using the windows vista disc try to restore system until the day where computer was working fine.

    I hope this helps!

  • "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically" - Satellite C660-108

Got a new laptop for Christmas yesterday and it worked fine yesterday, I came home tonight and he asked me to click on restore and then restart. I realized that, now, whenever I go to turn on the machine, it brings the message "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically" and a saying to have connected external devices to and remove, then (which I don't have)...

Was called "The Tech Guys" they said it was probably because when I started the laptop arrived so many updates etc and one of them went bad and I need to call back with the front desk and they'll go through it with me.
So I intend to do, but I would like it if people could give advice on how to solve this problem.
    Thanks :)

In my view, ting best that you can do now is to reinstall the OS using the recovery disk.
After the own pre-installed operating system it will be working correctly again.

How to do this you can read in the document or as a result of this document - s user manual http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
