  Try to use the wheel on your mouse and hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard.
  It is an easy way to increase/decrease the size of the images and text on your screen.

  I am importing into Lightroom 5.4 JPG photo.

  Screen import, in the section 'Apply when importing', the 'develop settings' both fields 'Metadata' are set to 'None '.

  Yet, as the import process progresses, I see the correct thumbnail being changed as automatically develop adjustments take place (cropping and rotating the image in black and white color, at least that's all I noticed). Why is this happening and how can I prevent it from happening?

  I guess that the instructions are incorporated into the JPG file, that I created in Photoshop (and saved as a PSD and JPG), since it occurs in two installations of Lightroom, on the Mac and on Windows 7 (new installation). When I switch to the development module, the only step in the history is importing.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  The reason is that the image was in Lightroom before he wa edited in Photoshop. At this time, in the library module, under develop fast, saved Preset has been set to Custom.
