How to save a photo exported from iPhoto and modified in Photoshop Elements 6 to iPhoto?

My photos are uploaded on my iMac iPhoto 09.  I am able to export directly to Photoshop Elements ' 06 to edit but when I try to export the photo retouched to iPhoto it goes to images, not iPhoto where I want it to go.  Any suggestions?

No, this is a limitation of iphoto. The only way to see the original once again in a version of iphoto to define is to lose the edited version back.

When you export from iphoto, image quality should be medium, large, or maximum?  Want quality photos, but can say exporting the process will take some time.  Imagine the import to lightroom 5 will take a lot of time, too.  At 40 000 photos.

I don't know anything about iPhoto. I use a PC for more than 30 years and have no desire to spend. But if iPhoto is something like Lightroom, your original images should be there in their native resolution (size of origin for example). And they should be in a folder somewhere on your computer. Photos are never really 'in' Lightroom. The import process shows just Lightroom where images. If this is the case with iPhoto, so all you have to do is import these files directly where they are now. They will not be moved or altered in any way. You can only access them with Lightroom.

How I use Lightroom, it's that I use to maintain and edit the images of my Masters. I use it for my images as well the navigation. Sometimes I find I want to make a change. And I only have a picture of a worrying. If I decide I want to have one of these printed images then I will export a copy with the appropriate parameters to provide the quality that I expect. The same with e-mail, or posted on Facebook, to create a book, etc.. All copies are created from this master image that is used for any purpose, they were created, and then they are ignored. I have need them more because I still have the master image. If, in the future, I find it necessary to make changes, I have that image of a worry. That's how I like to work with Lightroom. If you want to try to keep multiple copies, then you will need to design a workflow that will accelerate this doing.

An exception to the workflow that I pointed out, is that sometimes I'll have a bunch of photos I want to use in a slideshow. Personally, I don't like to use the slide show feature in Lightroom, but prefer instead to use Faststone Viewer or other similar software. For the case I will export JPEG copies in a separate folder. But I have still that the image of the one master that I'm worried about changes in the future.

How can I import photos into my iPad to use in photoshop touch?

I have PS Touch for Android, and I have several options that are available to me, which I'm sure most is also available to users of iOS:

    • via a connection cable of the camera, also known as an OTG cable (import from camera)
    • via cable USB (import from your computer)
    • via an application that installs wireless to your network (where you can then download your tablet from your computer)

The first option is an accessory that I had to buy. The second option was an accessory supplied with my tablet. The third option was on the game of Google (and can be free or paid according to what you go with).

  • Export from iPhoto files created a monster

I'm on an old iMac 2008 Yosemite operation and loading of the LR4.  I'm transferring my files from iPhoto to LR and exported successfully to iPhoto (now ' Photo') of files in a folder that LR can recognize (although I'm not sure that I could do it again!).  The 2 problems are:

    (1) export created several versions of many images in files with size varying from double-digit KB to double digit MG; and

    (2) with the 'faces' in iPhoto, individual photos function face presented as individual files, for example, if I had a single image with 10 people in it, I found myself at least 11 files - the original, and a file of each face on the photo!  Therefore, my "Export iPhoto" folder is more 13 000 images!  I could try to eliminate some watching them in LR, but they are everywhere and do not show me to those who are the bigger (higher resolution files).

I tried to go through the folder in the Finder and I cut it down by a 1000 files, but I'm going nuts.  Any suggestions?  Of course, I would prefer to export again and avoid this problem.  Short of that, is there a shortcut can someone suggest to find duplicates in LR and identify which are the best records of resolution?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Chloemann,

    Greetings.

Not very well how it is related to Lightroom, when the issue is the export of the photos app.

Or if you have imported the files exported in Lightroom and Lightroom Catalog you have multiple copies of the same files and other similar questions?

  • How to save JPEG photos with their LR adjustments?

Hello Folks, please forgive this probably stupid question from a new user of Lightroom!

I recently imported some JPEG photos in LR, made several changes that have improved the images (well, I thought they did...) but then for the life of me I couldn't work out how to save the results.

Stored files just show the originals, but in LR, they appeared with all the settings. Tried to export, but with the same result. I don't know I am on what is obvious...

    Any help is appreciated.

Take a look at the of gotcha ten albums LR here

    Your question is number 1.

You do not have record in LR (LR, as it goes along). To see that your changes applied you export and create a new file. LR does not change your original file,

  • Photo exported from Lightroom appears very grainy in Photoshop

A took my photo in RAW and processed in Lightroom.  It is milky and was shot at ISO 8000.  Using the Luminance slider to the title of the noise reduction reduces the noise/grain where I liked it.  When I exported to JPEG in Photoshop it will look very grainy once again, perhaps even more than the original. When I did export I kept it at its full resolution of 3648 X 5472 origin.  I set the quality to 100, it has exported to sRGB and countered the size max and these other options.  I even closed Photoshop and reopened and reopened these photos and they always look very grainy.  To test I did the same thing and it was exported in a TIFF file and got the same look. Very grainy.  HOWEVER, when I open again the JPEG file newly created in Lightroom, it seems that it should look like, with the removed noise/grain.  It seems the noisey/grainy in Photoshop.

I hope someone can tell me what is happening and how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

To make a valid comparison, don't forget to look at the pictures from 1:1 (100%).

Any other point of view is inaccurate and misleading, picture time putting in the scale/resampling.

If the photos are more granular in Photoshop when seen at 100%, check that Cache levels on at least 4 in Preferences > performance.

  • Photos disappeared from WLPG and WPG.

I recently had my laptop infected with who knows what. I came back and it was 'fixed '. I went to open WLPG to look at a few pictures and they disappeared. I went to another user having the same photos and they did the same thing. Is - this recoverable? I did the 'show hidden files' in the Panel, but yes, it does not. Right now I'm very ticked off as I have not had a chance to save them (pictures of Christmas, Thanksgiving and other photos of my father who passed away in October.) Can someone help me please!

    Just some thoughts...

Couldn't hurt to check the set Hidden once again... maybe
you don't have to click... Apply / OK.

Reach... Control Panel / folder Options / View tab.
... To check "Show the hidden files and folders" / apply / OK.

Let us know if the files reappear.

If the files were not 'hidden' is it possible that it was
moved to another folder by accident? There's a chance
that do a search for .jpg could find them.
