How to save JPEG files in PSE5.0?

Ok. Newby Q again.  How the hell do we know what to choose when it comes to saving an image in JPEG format?  the following three boxes will appear:

IMAGE OPTIONS:

QUALITY >

FORMAT OPTIONS:

REFERENCE >

PROGRESSIVE >

SIZE:

up to 2 Mbps?

As a general rule, if you are going to archive your photos in JPEG format, you want to save in top quality as possible. It would be with the slider to the right or the number "12".

Usually, "Standard" would be the way to go. He wrote the photo in a single pass on the screen.

"Progressive", wrote the photo 3-pass across the screen and is usually used to download and view files in a web page.

The dialog box of 'size' you refer gives you the approximate time (in seconds) you need to download the internet photo with 56.6 bps. (dial up) At least the weather is referenced for dial-up internet to the PSE5. If the speed dialog box gives you this information, [1]; size of the photo (in KB) [2]; time to download (in seconds), [3], internet high speed of reference.

If you are considering a re-editing your photos at a later date, consider saving in a lossless format. The PSD and TIFF file formats support save layered and don't 'compress' the file whenever it is worked on. "PSD" is the native format of Photoshop, so it could be argued that it would be the better of the two. Since a scanner mode "Lossless" would save in TIFF, Photoshop would need convert PSD files. A jpeg file would be better suited to a photo in which the editing process has been finalized and is heading to the printer, or maybe aunt Martha in an E-mail.

One last thought is that the quality allows you to "jpeg", a file and the size of the file itself, is largely dependent object. For example a photo that you intend to make public on "Flickr" must be sized down and and jpegged to average quality. Present in case the photo is uploaded, your work will not be in full resolution and quality, therefore limiting its usefulness to viewing only. In any event, a photo uploaded on the web absolutely must be a COPY, not to alter the original in the way that I have described.

  • How to save a file on my mac webscan

    When you use webscan hp7610 how to save the file on my mac?

    Hi roch4t,

    I understand that you have an Officejet 7610 and you're wanting to know how to record a webscan. I will definitely do my best to help you.

    I tested on our Mac 10.9 we have here and came with the screenshot below. Once the scan is finished, I held the CTRL key and clicking on (or if you have a two button mouse, you can just right click) on the analysis and got the drop-down list, you see at the bottom right and selected open in preview. Once it has opened in the preview, I was able to then click on file and save.

    Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • PhotoDraw in Windows7 - cannot open or save jpeg files

    I have managed to load Photodraw V2 on my new Windows7 machine, but cannot get the program to open or save jpeg files. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired and added features (graphicthrough the control panel............... but no luck.) Any body can help?

    I've seen the same problem, but it is not related to Windows 7, I had also in Vista.  I followed up to the size of the file.  I can open small JPG images, but I started to have the question when I got a new camera.  Nothing does no more than 8 million pixels open in Photodraw.  I had to open the photo in another program, reduce the image, then it opens.  But that downgrade the photo.  For more pictures, I just had to use another program and not my beloved Photodraw.  I really wish that Microsoft had continued to work on this product because it was great!

    How to save illustrator files cs6/cc now that I've upgraded to maverick?

    Hi maryclothide,

    Upgrade to maverick should have no impact on the way you used to save these files as soon as possible.

    You can select Save from the file menu and select adobe illustrator as save type. And in the file saving options, you can choose to save file compatible with earlier versions of Illustrator.

    Honestly, you do not have.

    DW is intended to be used with a "Local Root folder" for each site that you create with it. You should never have a reason to record in the program of DW records. Take a minute to review the creation of a Site definition in DW...

  • How to save JPEG photos with their LR adjustments?

    Hello Folks, please forgive this probably stupid question from a new user of Lightroom!

    I recently imported some JPEG photos in LR, made several changes that have improved the images (well, I thought they did...) but then for the life of me I couldn't work out how to save the results.

    Stored files just show the originals, but in LR, they appeared with all the settings. Tried to export, but with the same result. I don't know I am on what is obvious...

    Not to be confused... YOU read my previous POST.

    Also answer me...
    How do you want to save the file?
    1. replace or add to the file in the folder?
    2. create a new file in the folder?

    If you answer is first, change your code in a more dynamic way

    -Save the opened Excel file
    rglist: = OLE2. Create_Arglist;
    OLE2. Add_Arg (arglist, file_name_cl);
    OLE2. Invoke (Binder, 'SaveAs', Arglist);
    OLE2. Destroy_Arglist (arglist);

    So then you can give it

    -Save the created Excel file
    rglist: = OLE2. Create_Arglist;
    OLE2. Add_Arg(arglist,'c:\export\newexcelexport.xls');
    OLE2. Invoke (Binder, 'SaveAs', Arglist);
    OLE2. Destroy_Arglist (arglist);
    Your file will be saved in the "C:\export\" a folder with the name newexcelexport
