How to see all frames of a clip on the timeline first?

There are of course times when I need to see all frames of a clip to synchronize two clips. For example, imagine you have a shoot with two cameras, and both devices were looking to a clapstick, or a strobe. I want to put the two clips on the timeline and zoom in to see all images. Now I can align the two clips fo that clarification of each clip is over/under each other. However, when I zoomed in on the timeline, it seems that I can zoom in enough to see all the images that I do to be able to zoom all the way in the scenario that I can see images of the clips? I have not actually tried this yet with CC, but there with CS6 and he wouldn't do it.

Find the "sync" Frame in the Source monitor and place a marker on it for each Clip.

These will be easy to line up in the timeline panel

PreMedia Systems offers a free script for this... written for CS3 - CS4, but works at 5.5 too.

    You can find it here:

  • I want to delete 100 + sequential clips from the timeline; How?

I want to delete 100 + sequential clips to the timeline, how?  Of course, I can do this by highlighting all of them, but that may take an hour or more.

Use--> timeline--> selection follows head, jump with the arrow keys through your timeline, lift the clips that you want to remove with 'alt' and 'up arrow' and remove the top video track in the end.

  • How can I select all instances of a component in the timeline at once without manually shift clicking on each instance?

    Title says it all!

How can I select all instances of a component in the timeline at once without manually shift + click each instance?

The reason why I want to do this is because I have a video clip with MANY quick cuts. So the clips are cut out and splattered everywhere. I'm color correction now and so I want to be able to select a clip around wherever it exists in the timeline so I can drag the effect on all the at once, without having to search each occurrence of the item in the timeline panel. This lot "select" would make it so I don't miss not all instances of the clip and saving a ton of time going through the timeline and Shift clicking whenever the clip is also up.

I hope that the PP is smart enough to do this

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

How can I get a precise control?

In addition, cs5.5 I could zoom in/out of the timeline, using the 'mountain' in right drazg left etc. I don't have this on CS6? all ideas

Use Alt + arrow keys l/r or Alt + point/comma keys.

  • How to boost clips in the timeline

    Hi all

I have relatively new Pr Pro and I'm working on a music video.  I need to synchronize multiple clips to the music track.  I would like to know is there a command to shift the position of the clip in the timeline panel so that I can more easily get my mouth movements to reflect the Sung words.  I know about the repositioning of the time indicator with arrow keys, but I can't find any info on pushing a real clip before or back.  Now I have to go to the highest resolution and move the clip with the selection tool.  Another problem is that the clip goes in the program monitor when it move with the selection tool.

    Thank you

Easy to do: Alt + arrow left/right to move an image. ALT + SHIFT + left/right arrow to move the 5 images.

Hmm... unless you have changed these combos of default values, those who are actually the key combos to drag a clip. To move an image, you want Alt +, (comma) or Alt +. (period). Add shift to move the 5 images.

At the end of the day, you can do these key combos to be (almost) everything you want. These combos and many others still is user customizable in Edition > customization of the keyboard.

EDIT: I should mention that as long as your clip is "floating" - in other words, its head and tail are not contiguous to the head or tail of any surrounding clips, the key combination mentioned Robert will work. However, if your target element is attached to one or more elements in the sequence, you can change the duration of the surrounding clips.

For example, say that your target clip is called "B", and that is 10 time frames. The previous clip is 'A' and is also long 10 frames, and the next clip is 'C' and is long of 10 images. If 'push you' B a clip image previously, clip will now be 9 frames long, because the last outgoing image overlap b, but C clip will remain long 10 frames, and a gap of 1 frame is created between B and C.

However, if you "slide" clip B one image earlier, clip one again be 9 frames and clip B will remain 10 images, but clip C will now 11 long frames with no gap between B and C.

Dragging a clip maintains its duration and its clip in and out of the points, but changes its timeline points and exit. Shots is the same thing, but it is not "sticky" in slippery road is that he shoots unused images in the adjacent elements in the sequence to fill gaps. Both have their use; It simply depends on the situation to dictate what you actually want to do.

  • How to move correctly clips on the timeline?

    Hello

I'm having some trouble of fundamental change.

On the timeline, let's say, from left to right, I have video clips 1, 2,3,4,5,6 and 7.

I tried to re - organize the sequence by moving clip 6 clip between 2 and 3. So I select clip 6 and drag it up to the limit between clip 2 and 3. And when I release the mouse, it's just crush...

Advice on where did I go wrong turn?

    Thank you

    Hi Ryan,

    You have two options:

As pointed out above the Cmd Option by dragging that a clip will allow you to rearrange the clips in the timeline - it's actually a follow-up excerpt from an insert in a single action.

If you click and drag an item, then this is an elevator, which will leave a vacuum and then he will edit in the sequence as a

    (a) to replace the default Edition

    (b) Insert edit if Cmd is held down WHILE dragging

You can also if you Cmd-click-drag a clip it will be an excerpt (no space left behind) and re-released in the sequence by using the same rules above while dragging.

Just be aware to call extract your action of Cmd-click-drag will invariably mean that you will have your finger on the key command key by dragging so he'll be primed to Insert unless you release the command key button by dragging.
