  Hello

  Please, try the following:

  Open Acrobat

  Go in Edition > Preferences > General

  Uncheck the option open documents as tabs in the same window (requires restart)

  Click Ok

  Restart Acrobat

  Now open the PDF files open in a separate window.

  just a pointer to the real directory on E:, a bit like a shortcut.

  So if you get there via the library or the directory, you are in
  in the same place - E:\My Documents and any changes there are also
